I really liked how I could see the moon through the pumpkin, before anything else was done. So I bravely went in another direction. But first I had to put my dress, I mean "Ghost Clothes" on. lol .
This one is too cute! It was so much fun to paint! Michelle, there are paintings from your tutorials all over my house...a few of my friends houses too!! Thanks for all the fun!
This one is soo cute. I thought it would be fun and relatively easy but I struggled with Moon a bit and then I struggled a lot , like really really a lot with Pumpkin Groves for some reason. :( I also wish I could see the amount of paint Michelle was picking on the brush etc but not sure if it would have helped much with my painting troubles.

Michelle...you paint very well and it is fun to watch other than me getting ready for art shows which gets tiresome. Observation...the left eye of the snowman is directly above the carrot as exposed to the left a bit and no snow to the left of the hat ..done on purpose?? To test us???smile....
Hi Barbara, Nope, no test intended... the eyes are meant to just represent pebbles, which could realistically be placed anywhere, but I am now noticing that there is a twinkly in only one eye... that should have been in both. As for the snow on the hat, perhaps the back half fell off, as the hat is tilted... use your magical snowman imagination! Thanks for watching, Michelle
Hi Michelle, I see you use canvas for painting on. Can I use water colour paper for these Halloween paintings, as I want to make cards, just a bit concerned my paper won't hold up when doing the dry smudging for the fog etc.,? Fabulous paintings, your very talented, love your paintings 🎨🌿🍁🍂🦉x
Hi Ella, I would suggest getting a mixed media paper, as opposed to water color, as it will be stronger, but not sure if it will hold up to the scumbling technique. I would suggest using a fluid medium to thin out your paint, as opposed to water. Good luck! ~Michelle

I am LIVING for this background and this moon! never thought of using brown in a moon before, this really opened my eyes up for something new :D 💜 The ghost, this was a new way for me, and I LOVE it, again, you make things so easy! :D This painting overall, it´s a homerun! :) I had a lot of fun watching this 💜 I agree with you about the layers, for me, that´s what brings a painting to life, the depth. I´m thinking of doing this background, with the bats, but have a low silhouette of dead trees :D instead of the ghost and pumpkin 💜 Beautiful work Michelle! :) and thank you for sharing 💜
