6:40 To bad you need Reolink home hub or nvr in order to integrate into Home Assistant. Very important information. This is not a requirement on their previous POE/Wifi doorbell
I've just been stung by this as well, they even removed the ability to turn on the port on the desktop app which was a work around on the previous model.
I need to try one of these as I now have a google nest doorbell and a TPlink doorbell and both are worthless when trying to integrate into Home Assistant. If it works that well I will be replacing both. Thanks for a great video with a fresh look at the Reolink!
ATM, using the Reolink integration in Home Assistant drains the doorbell battery at an alarming rate. Supposedly, it is an issue with the Home Hub firmware. I hope it gets fixed soon.
@@nzmaioro-zt9ts Afraid not. Originally had Doorbell connected to motionEye within Home Assistant. Battery lasted about a day. Removed the motionEye connection and live feed in HA dashboard increased battery life to a few days. Disabled Chime and Doorbell, but kept Home Hub in Home Assistant Reoilink integration gave about 6 days battery. Disabling Reolink HA integration entirely gives me what should be normal battery duration. As I write, after 5 days it's at 94%.

Yes, it would be great if it could connect directly to HA like the previous version!

This sucks, I was hoping to buy this but I don't want another hub!

I have tapo d210 and I did try but I can tee the view of camera any idea sir ??
Unless the Tapo has an RTSP stream I am not sure how you could view it in Home Assistant
hi mate im also in auckland, did you procure it on ali or pb?
Hi mate, no it is not available locally yet. You would need to order it online from Ali Express
Yeah getting rid of the POE or at least just have the Ethernet as just a hard wire option hard pass on this one I’ll keep the existing Reolink one
Poe and powered versions are still available
