For your IQR. Make sure you have good compression make sure you have good spark make sure your carbs are getting fueled. Check your fuel pump and the pulse line going to the base to the fuel pump..
Glad I found this channel. Love the content and love that you're (somewhat) local, coming from NW WI myself. Can't wait to see more, maybe see ya out and about this season.
My 06 fusion did the same thing was running awesome, shut it down to take a break went to start it. Nothing, dead, found the voltage regulator fried the brain box, after doing the voltage regulator upgrade and finding a new brain box it’s back up and running.
I had the same issue with an iqr 600, you could ride the beans out of it and park it for a day or so and boy was it hard to start. I had 16 iqr 600 and that's the sled that finally me off an 03 pro x 800, the feel is so different on the iqr, I now ride a 20 Indy xcr 600 and love it
I've heard those XCR's are great sleds. Never had the pleasure of getting to ride anything that new. In time! Thanks for watching the vid and commenting!
Yeah, I did see that. For the 600 there are actually a few options still on the market but the 440 seems to only be Jaws. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching the vid!
I had a 02 pro x that had a crankshop 800 setup in it, 04 forward steering post, 04 skid and track... Thing wheelied on demand. Which got me in alot of trouble. I miss the insanity, don't miss my whole body aching for a week. Also don't miss fixing it after wheelieing into everything.
The newest videos since we've returned this year are the higher quality productions. Older videos are all just having fun with it. Thanks for tuning in though man. We appreciate it
Love the sleds! I have a 19 600rs. Went from a 600rr(race replica) then to a 08 rs then my 19. Also don’t want to be that person but they changed the a arms and spindle in 2010!
Just sold my '16 Renegade Backcountry 800 and '12 800 Switchback here in NY. Just too much invested to let them sit, snow conditions haven't been good. Picked up an '03 Prox 800 to get me by. Almost more excited to ride the old ProX than I was my newer sleds.
thats so cool i have watched that guys channel the one who has the iqr600 Grays Garage. man, I would love to ride with you sometime! great video. i love the pro x such a sick sled
Dude it’s so awesome to see my sled. Just bought a 2002 pro X 440 liquid. I was told they are very rare. Got about four hours on it and holy shit I do not regret that buy lol.
They are very rare. Back then the only way you could get them was if you had a race license so there were only like 800-1200 sold each year from what i've been told. Then a bunch were raced, abused, and wrecked so it only leaves a handful of good quality race sleds from that era from most manufacturers. The MXZX Rev chassis was the most sold so will naturally be the most common to see. Polaris was behind the game in 03 and 04 without a rider forward platform so people preferred the newer F-chassis and Rev chassis. Makes these thing very hard to find. Thanks for watching!
LOVED my 04 Pro XR 440. Would kill for a Pro XR 800. Best looking sled ever made imo. But good taste in sleds man, IQR's are great sleds, Pro XR's are great, and the AC Sno Pro's weren't bad.
If the 440 has race fuel in it you will never get it to fire if it sat outside over night. If it does sit outside take a heat gun and heat the float bowls before you try to start it and it should take off.
@@DIPSTICKTV let me know if you end up getting a 600r. i happen to know a thing or 2 about them that you wont get from places that sell jet and clutch "kits" just to get their hands on your money
Heck yeah! We got another 7-8 inches or so here yesterday so been out there ripping! This winter has been amazing here. Thanks for watching the vid and commenting! Glad you enjoyed it
Man those sleds sound good I definitely want to get a newer sled just for ripping around, right now I got a 99 RMK 700 that I will probably never sell but it would be nice to have something a little more comfortable for longer rides
I had´hat triple. Run that same lake hundreds of times (at my home country) Now we had lot of -35c snow and wind. There was an nice ice jump what I use every day. Now it looked litle bit larger so I wen't full power. Behind jump, clear ice and you are tree high at the jump. Yeah, did not end nice for that polaris.
Forget the 04 pro xr... Take that 03 and put an 800 in it, get the 04 hoop and the other parts needed to complete the rider forward steering. Boom you got a pro xr that you dont need to leave in the shop bc it's too rare to beat on.
2011 was the first year of the newer style spindles, didn’t sound like that 16 was even getting on the pipe. What were the specs in the carbs on that, sounds loud but not crisp.
i know the feeling on collectors item i got rare 01 snopro 440 fan its 1 of 500 made and i fully rebuilt everything on it so its best condition in long time lol
Oh nice! My first sled I got when I was 12 was a 2001 440 snopro fan that Tucker Hibbert’s second mechanic bought after the race season. Was a very rare sled. I regretted selling it after I did but that was a long time ago and there’s always different rare sleds to try to get the hands on! Thanks for watching!
Would you guys know a good adjustable clutch weight kit for my 05 900 rmk? want to be able to switch weights easily for the hills and down here in southeastern south dakota.
Nice sleds! I’ve had a few Pro X’s and a trail converted 800 swapped IQR, both sleds super fun and take an absolute beating. Definitely get what you pay for with the IQR for a more balanced ditchbanger, but can’t go wrong with either really.
Jetting issue I would guess. Cody is running 420 main, 50 pilot, needle on #2 click from the top, fuel screw 2 turns out. Maybe that gives you a bit of a basis if you start messing around with yours.
Tommy's F5 was the fuel pump, he's working on that fix. My IQR is shown in the very end of the vid starting up. Was just too cold. Thanks for watching!
@DipstickTV Great video. Years ago I had a new 04 Pro x2 600 and a 04 pro xr 440. Those sleds were a lot of fun and in my opinion the best handling of any trailing arm sled ever made.
Want to trade the IQR for a 1978 International Transtar 2 4070 Semi tractor ? Runs and drives great and in great shape well mantained by the previous owner since the early 80s... I'm in Northern Wisconsin by Superior.
I bought it back in 2018 at HayDays. Guy was asking $2200 and talked him down to $1800. I actually have the old vids still up on the channel of both the HayDays experience and then a couple days later I went and picked the sled up. Also have the original bill of sale with the paid amount on it still. Was certainly a good deal at the time but it’s almost an impossible deal nowadays. I did see a 2003 up here in MN for $2300 earlier this season though. Condition and shape looked decent but hard to tell until you get there and look at them.
Thanks! Carbs were just cold on her. Left it out overnight in the snow and it's temperamental running on race gas. Thanks for watching! New video releasing tonight!
Great sleds! Technically the race model isn't an "edge chassis", there were a few modifications made to the factory race sleds to make it more durable for the track but its very close. The consumer model ProX is still an edge chassis but the race specifc ProX with the walker evans clickers and race mods could only be purchased in 03-04 if you had a race license. Only 500 made.
Are you running on high compression with 110 race gas? It's pretty well known that IQRs are a bit finicky if you're familiar with the platform. These aren't consumer sleds we're running here...
I don't know how people can like 4 stroke sleds,me I never change I like 2 stoke to much ,I had 4 stroke sleds I never like them.. to me 4 stroke sleds sounds like to much like a motorcycle to me
lol it was just major sarcasm. I have an old video agreeing with your point 100%. We get it running at the end of the video as well so it will be back on the snow soon.

Right, swapped with a 600 Liberty.
Does the new iq take much gas?
Not too bad compared to any other race sled I have experience with
How bout the 2019 iqr?
The IQ Racer (IQR) was the race model based on the IQ chassis. it ended in 2016. 2017+ are the 600R on the Axys chassis
