Very nice full day on the road, from The Appalachians to near Chicago. Nice to see the region from the US 6 perspective, I guess most drivers would use the I-80 here. Nice communities on the way, was a real pleasure to join you on your trip across the country. Thanks for sharing, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!
Great to see you still around UC i,ve had a lot of fun with you In many ways your wonderful virtual trips are the main reason I am a success today! They certainly kept me sane when I needed it anyway!❤
I wondered why there were so many older houses on the route, then I remembered that this is an old highway. Passing those fields of corn made me want to roast an ear! 😆 The houses in Ohio near Lake Erie are beautiful! Great trip, Uncle Coolie!
6:09:29 as you turn left onto Edgewater Pkwy (the old Shoreway west entrance), if you look closely to the right, you'll see a purple wall against the Main Avenue Bridge. That's a mural of Prince in his Purple Rain costume and sunglasses, holding a jelly donut.
I remember that, mainly because I actually missed that turn and had to go back to near downtown to get back on US-6 properly. You'll noticed that twice, the time stamp skips 20-25 minutes.

Thanks alot for all your uploads. I particullary liked your videos of US highway 1 from San Diego to Seattle.. Any chance of you driving the US20 from east to west and/or US60
Thanks. I've thought about US-20 at some point, but I'm not sure when. I really want to check Alaska and Hawaii off the list of states that I've never been to first.
The last long road trip I took was across Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh, driving nearly all the way across the Maryland Panhandle and even crossing into West Virginia.
I absolutely love north central and western Pennsylvania. It's some of the most beautiful country in the US. We spend a lot of our spare time there. The only real problem is you have to be very careful of deer running out in front of you.
Thank you! I still have the video of the drive back across the country from California immediately after I made it to Los Angeles. I actually drove the entirety of I-40 from Barstow to Wilmington, NC. Part of that motivation was due to the fact that nearly half of I-40 (Needles, CA to Oklahoma City) was also US-66. I'll upload that video once I've finished with the six parts of this US-6 trip.
I've seriously considered doing it, but ultimately decided against it because so much of the original road is either in private hands or replaced completely with interstates, especially I-40 between Oklahoma City to California. When US-66 was still a designated US highway in the early 1980s, it cosigned I-40 during this section. By the way, I drove back from California on I-40 all the way from Barstow to Wilmington, NC, and I'll upload that video after I finish these six parts of the US-6 trip.
It would be nice if your measuring system was uniform. Part of it is Imperial, part French,. I would enjoy your videos more if I knew the information provided. I've driven thousands of miles in Pennsylvania, not a single kilometer have I driven.
Yes, it would be nice to know how fast he's going or how far he's driven. He's driving in America after all, how many road signs are metric? Funny saying French measuring system. Most people don't know that, and just say metric.
@@PoppingWaffle All I'm saying is give me the info so I can understand it, or all of it in a foreign format, so i have no clue what's going on. His analytics obviously shows most of his viewers are not Americans.
He has a time lapse video of this trip in US miles/feet for those incapable of converting to metric. The majority of his real time viewers are international
Since 2018, when I started using the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, I've used both imperial and metric--usually metric for the time lapse and imperial for the real time--because Virb doesn't display both at the same time. More than half of my viewers are from overseas, and with the exception of some Brits, no one uses imperial outside the U.S.
@@daniel4655 yeah point taken. There are some of us that like to just read. Perhaps we are incapable. I know, people such as yourself, spend their time converting everything they read into every other measuring system. One could say they are capable.
Since 2018, I've been using the Garmin Virb Ultra 30. Since 2019, I've been using a 512 GB micro-SD card that can hold 16 hours' worth of UHD video. I bring my MacBook and an external hard drive to back up the video each night. This was the longest road trip I've ever done (7,500 miles over 10.5 days), so the 5 TB hard drive wound up being 3/4 full! By the way, the 10.5 days was because I drove back across the county, and I'll upload video from that trip after I finish with the six parts of this US-6 trip.
😊 I'll try to get part 3 uploaded a lot quicker, because I'm uploading six parts in total, and I want to get to the video of the drive back across the country from California.

Cool video. I do a lot of driving on US 6 in Indiana and its great to see someone else do it.
Thanks! This is my 4th drive across Indiana since 2018.
Beautiful and relaxed journey.
I really enjoyed this trip, even though I always had to watch out for those US-6 signs, even after reviewing the route before each day's trip.
Thanks for this video. I like it. So much videos please
My pleasure. I'll have part 3 uploaded in the next 2 weeks, and I aim to have all six parts uploaded by the holidays.
@unclecoolie thank you uncle. See you from turkiye.
Interesting camera, makes all the houses look nicer than they are in real life. I live near Galeton.
Back on the road, Chris thank you for this buddy
My pleasure. I've still got four more parts to upload of this trip, then I can finally work on the video of the drive back to the east coast.
OK buddy I’m not going anywhere. I love this channel. I’ll be a subscriber for years to come stay safe. God bless you and your family.

I did something similar when I drove from NYC to Santa Monica in September 2022.
Thanks a lot!! Landscape from California is very similar to Costa del Sol in Málaga or Costa Tropical of Granada, Spain. Very nice!!
I agree. One day I'd love to visit Spain. I want to visit Sad Hill, where the last scene in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was filmed.

I agree. I had never been to NW PA (outside of I-80/I-90) before, and I was really pleasantly surprised by the scenery.
Almost finished watching your previous cross country ride. Thank you for this!
My pleasure!
Hi Chris, just finished your second part. When can we expect the next part to be uploaded? Just wondering
I'm aiming for within 2 weeks.
OK
This is beautiful so far, Kris thank you the landscapes are just gorgeous
Thank you! I will try to have part 3 uploaded by the end of next week.
