I just started fishing and said are you hungover? He said I hate this lake! I said can I run the trolling motor? He said you’ll get disqualified, I said no you’ll get disqualified, take me back to the dock! And he guided at center hill lake! That ended it for me. They wouldn’t give me my money back.

Billy has some great advice. Spike pens and bait covers are a must. I also dye up several baits the night before as well. Bringing extra reels has saved my butt in Co/ pro tournaments before as well.

@@BradleyHallmanFishing Once you have had one you'll know why. 150 bucks slips under the lid of the back battery hatch to hold it in place. No tangled rods no hooks in the upholstery. No stepping on rods. It's well worth the money and they are easy to pack in a tackle bag. All the boaters I've use them with love it.
This was awesome! Btw...those bell looking things are arm straps. You put your upper arm in it and grip the bar, they're used for building abdominal and core strength.

I’m alright with the top level having no co-anglers. I was a Marshall for elite series at pickwick this year and it was a great learning experience. I was able to learn way more just focusing on my angler instead of fishing.

Fished as a co-angler with a very good angler wacky rigging in a small pocket. If he had to re-tie or put on another worm he trolled out of the pocket so I wouldn't have a chance to cast, let alone catch one. Should have complained to the tournament director but didn't. Best way to get your angler irritated is to catch one before he does. Really enjoy your videos.
Love seeing these videos about co-angling. I do have a question though, I've only been looking into doing tournament fishing for the past year or so now, I know I can join state clubs (indiana) but with FLW going away because of the MLF merger what options do I have as a co angler to get into national or even regional opportunities? Would love to just drop everything in life and be on the elite series but I need to start somewhere, thank you.
Bassmaster opens and Toyota series are regional level but there are no national tour co anglers anymore. You can learn a lot as a co angler even in your local bfl’s and Bass Federation though
How should a person wanting to become a Co-Angler try to connect with a boater? At 52 I understand it’s a wild question but it’s something I’m really interested in. Lol.
Just message them and ask if they are looking for a Co Link. and keep your eye out if someone is posting about looking for one. You don’t need to have a link to sign up either. Can always just register as a co and get assigned with someone at an event and meet people that way.

A good thing for co angler if the boater allows is the Bakcrack rod holder really helps with keeping your rods out of the way and organized,
I enjoy first class and valet at hotels as well. Just doesn’t happen often for me but I get your point!

Bac-Rac Rod Holder looks like a god idea, but $150???
@@muskietime Considering most of my rods are 200 to 300 each 150 is a cheap way to keep them organized and free from tangles and possible breakage.
@@allenhoward5382 Each rod/reel/line/lure setup is probably $500 for most. But, looking at the design, just hard to justify $150.
