Next time, go straight across and fish down from the wall on the other side of the dam if you're after muskies. Spot's pretty overfished but I've caught a few pretty decent skies on that side. Also have a fire smallie float river up all the way near Mercer where my buddy got a 5lb smallie out of beginning of August this year. Lemme know if you want the deats ;) fire video as always!

My parents live on the river just a little ways downriver. There is much better musky fishing below Pettenwell. The last time I was out there I caught quite a few smallest on topwaters right at dusk

The Wisconsin River is the lowest it's been in thirty years. They will not open the gates anytime soon. Maybe this winter to lower the lake for springtime maybe.
