I've been watching k-dramas for 2 years. I was addicted within 2 weeks. My eyes are practically permanently bloodshot every weekend. My favorite on this list is The Master's Sun. My favorite k-drama is probably A Gentleman's Dignity. Some other dramas that would get you addicted are Ghost Doctor, Kill Me Heal Me, Tale of the Nine Tailed, Two Cops, and Café Minamdang.
I got vertigo for lack of sleep. I haven’t seen any of the ones you mentioned. I was stuck the minute I watched Desendants of the sun, crash landing, it’s okay not to be okay, sassy girl and Hyena. I have been watching them for 3 years now!!!!!!! Thanks to COVID I never knew anything about kdramas.🥲😛

While You Were Sleeping belongs on this list. It's a great starter K-drama. First you have Lee Jong-suk, Bae Suzy and Jung Hae-in in the most non toxic love triangle. You cover supernatural, rom-com, melodrama and thriller. Also a supporting cast featuring Kim Won-hae and Park Jin-joo who you will see in half the dramas you'll watch. Also great ost When A Long Night Comes and I Love You Boy will stick in your head. And it doesn't drag .
"While You Were Sleeping" is definitely on the top 5 list! I would also recommend "Dinner Mate", "One Spring Night", "It's Okay Its Love", "True Beauty"

‘Crash Landing’, Mr Sunshine, It’s okay to Not Be Okay got me hooked. Favorites since then ‘Something in the Rain’ (the most authentic romance you’ll ever watch), Hometown Cha cha cha (ignore the title), When the Weather is Fine, Dali and the Cocky Prince. Rain or Shine made me a Lee Junho devotee, and his movie….The Red Sleeve….was a wonderful period piece.
If you loved Something in the Rain you should definitely watch One Spring Night, it’s made by the same director and screenwriter as SITR and is sooo good. Rain or shine also got me to looove Lee Jun Ho and The red sleeve is my favorite period drama of ALL TIME.

A must-see is "Itaewon Class" It is excellent and has a dope OST. I am restraining from going into too much detail. If you liked CLOY then you must watch DOS as both get better with time and multiple viewings. Yep! I am addicted. Peace.

Well the kdrama which dragged me into this world is what's wrong with secretary kim I think i saw a small video about that drama in a evening almost 2 year's ago and i finished 5 episodes in a day and it was such a new and wholesome experience for me... I cried a lot at the end and by now even though my schedule is tight i always watch atleast 4 episodes of a kdrama a week K-pop and kdrama seriously made me a lot of happy in my sad and usually dipressed life

I think I have watched Goblin about 10 times😂…highly recommended. Also “my beloved summer”, “nevertheless “,”my king : eternal monarch” is also a nice one. Oh my God then there is “it’s okay to not be okay” so nice…I think all of them are nice
My favorite of all time is Goblin so I'm glad it was #1 on this list! I've watched it over a dozen times & went to Korea & Quebec to visit the filming locations! LOVE the bromance in the show, the love stories, & OST (& manage to SOB at the same 4 scenes every time I rewatch the series.)

Revolutionary Love was my first KDrama. Then I got into historical dramas like Love in the Moonlight and 100 Days My Prince. That got me going and now I’m hooked. I Am Not A Robot deserves a mention as well.
@Matthew Lee I haven't seen "Revolutionary Love". It's on my list but I absolutely LOVE "Love in the Moonlight". I couldn't stop watching it. "Itaewon Class" is fantastic. It is a must watch.

I would like to recommend A drama which may not be Everyones cup of tea but if you are into motherly love pregnancy sacrifices and lots of heartfelt good tear i would recommend birthcare center This drama is really underrrated i cried a bucket and laughed a lot its oly of 8 ep and will leave your heart satisfied with love please give it a try as it is very short but sweet drama..and trust me you will lsugh a lot
I saw 7 of these. My first was, Crash Landing on You, after that I was hooked. Even the bonuses, I saw some of them. I was introduced to Lee Min Ho after watching, Boys Over Flowers. That was it, I am now hooked on Min needless to say, Bin as well. There are so many other actors that I have fallen for, it's unbelievable!!
I saw Hwayugi and got hooked on Lee Seung Gi. I've since watched every one of his dramas, bought some of his music CDs & seen several of his reality series. What a guy!
@@lsurenwoodley4082 I saw Vagabond right after watching A Korean Odyssey. The two characters looked so different that it took me forever to realize they were played by the same actor. That's when I became his fan. But when he starred in Mouse I realized what an excellent actor he is.
Soundtrack #1 is the beeest drama to start with as a newbie. It is light and sooo hooking, and not that long. I rewatch it every so often since it is such a joy to watch!

A KDrama list without Extraordinary Attorney Woo is - IMO - incomplete. My startting point was Strong woman Do Bong Soon since I click more with the funny stories, But Descendands of the Sun and other military or police dramas are good, too.
Started watching Asian dramas over a 15 years ago. Started with Japan drama Boys Over Flowers. Not sure which was my first Kdrama as I was watching the K version of Boys Over Flowers, Brilliant Legacy, Don’t Hesitate, The City Hall and Tamra the Island around that time. But been hooked ever since.
@Lidy Wiks, Thanks for sharing your ADrama story. I fell down the rabbit hole with CLOY. Then I followed Song Ye Jin's "Something in the Rain" and one drama led to another and I am now all in! However, I'm not much for zombies and blood in any language so I avoid them in Kdrama as well. I did love the fantastical "It's OK not to be OK". That was incredible on every level. I preferred the Chinese version of "Boys Over Flowers". Peace!

The two shows that I first watched back to back that made me a fan of Kdramas were Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Startup. I also enjoyed Vincenzo! They are addicting! I enjoy the acting and the storylines of Kdramas.
See we all have our favorites that weren’t included. I’ve only recently been hooked. I’ve seen several of the series that made the list. But my current love was only one season which was “Sound of Music.” Maybe it’s because I couldn’t get enough of Ji Chang-wook!” 😊

You have some of my absolute favourites on your list: King 2 hearts, A Korean odyssey, Crash landing on you and Coffee Prince are all unmissable for me, but often missed off favourite lists. I also love Descendants of the Sun, K2 and Secret affair (one of the most beautifully made dramas I’ve ever seen, with the most awful title).
@@janiceingram2407, hiya, no it isn’t (I’ll have to look up the one with Ji Sung in - sounds good). It’s by Ahn Pan-seok, and it’s got Yoo Ah-in and Kim Hee-ae in. The plot didn’t appeal to me at all, before I watched it, but the acting and the passion and emotion that ran through out got me totally hooked. One of the best dramas I’ve ever seen. It is, however, a little heavier than the others I mentioned that you love too. I highly recommend it, though, if you can find it.

‘Crash Landing’, Mr Sunshine, It’s okay to Not Be Okay got me hooked. Favorites since then ‘Something in the Rain’ (the most authentic romance you’ll ever watch), Hometown Cha cha cha (ignore the title), When the Weather is Fine, Dali and the Cocky Prince. Rain or Shine made me a Lee Junho devotee, and his movie….The Red Sleeve….was a wonderful period piece.
If you loved Something in the Rain you should definitely watch One Spring Night, it’s made by the same director and screenwriter as SITR and is sooo good. Rain or shine also got me to looove Lee Jun Ho and The red sleeve is my favorite period drama of ALL TIME.

A must-see is "Itaewon Class" It is excellent and has a dope OST. I am restraining from going into too much detail. If you liked CLOY then you must watch DOS as both get better with time and multiple viewings. Yep! I am addicted. Peace.

I think i saw a small video about that drama in a evening almost 2 year's ago and i finished 5 episodes in a day and it was such a new and wholesome experience for me... I cried a lot at the end and by now even though my schedule is tight i always watch atleast 4 episodes of a kdrama a week

My favorite of all time is Goblin so I'm glad it was #1 on this list! I've watched it over a dozen times & went to Korea & Quebec to visit the filming locations! LOVE the bromance in the show, the love stories, & OST (& manage to SOB at the same 4 scenes every time I rewatch the series.)

Revolutionary Love was my first KDrama. Then I got into historical dramas like Love in the Moonlight and 100 Days My Prince. That got me going and now I’m hooked. I Am Not A Robot deserves a mention as well.

I saw 7 of these. My first was, Crash Landing on You, after that I was hooked. Even the bonuses, I saw some of them. I was introduced to Lee Min Ho after watching, Boys Over Flowers. That was it, I am now hooked on Min needless to say, Bin as well. There are so many other actors that I have fallen for, it's unbelievable!!
I saw Hwayugi and got hooked on Lee Seung Gi. I've since watched every one of his dramas, bought some of his music CDs & seen several of his reality series. What a guy!

My startting point was Strong woman Do Bong Soon since I click more with the funny stories, But Descendands of the Sun and other military or police dramas are good, too.

Started watching Asian dramas over a 15 years ago. Started with Japan drama Boys Over Flowers. Not sure which was my first Kdrama as I was watching the K version of Boys Over Flowers, Brilliant Legacy, Don’t Hesitate, The City Hall and Tamra the Island around that time. But been hooked ever since.
@Lidy Wiks, Thanks for sharing your ADrama story. I fell down the rabbit hole with CLOY. Then I followed Song Ye Jin's "Something in the Rain" and one drama led to another and I am now all in! However, I'm not much for zombies and blood in any language so I avoid them in Kdrama as well.
I did love the fantastical "It's OK not to be OK". That was incredible on every level. I preferred the Chinese version of "Boys Over Flowers".

@@janiceingram2407, hiya, no it isn’t (I’ll have to look up the one with Ji Sung in - sounds good). It’s by Ahn Pan-seok, and it’s got Yoo Ah-in and Kim Hee-ae in. The plot didn’t appeal to me at all, before I watched it, but the acting and the passion and emotion that ran through out got me totally hooked. One of the best dramas I’ve ever seen. It is, however, a little heavier than the others I mentioned that you love too. I highly recommend it, though, if you can find it.
