Good to see more ultralight models. I like that this one is super quiet and can be flown at the park.
More stealth quads are needed in this hobby.
Why do we only hear from people when they have something negative to say? Yeah, this thing looks fragile, but I'm not a scaredy cat and would still give this a try. It won't break the O3 unless you crash really hard. The O3 is a lot tougher than people think it is.

The kit version at $160 isn't a bad price!
I think I will convert my 1S Savagebee to this O3 version. Seems like a nice cruiser.
Very good insights on this model. Not for everyone but it's good that these companies ignore the haters and make stuff that is lighter and not a tank. If they don't like it, don't buy it and someone else who wants it will. So STFU.

They should include a TPU hood for the camera in the kit. I think Flywoo makes one. Could help it survive in a crash. It probably won't break in any crash but some additional protection will definitely help.
Thank you for your concern. Our BNF and kits both come with additional canopies in case you guys crash. And by the way, try not to crash.

The DJI O3 is tougher than most people think. That's why stripping that to a naked is not a good idea even though you save some extra weight...
want! g4 is a newer stm32 arm processor and is better than an h7 but slower than an f7 with f7 having an older stm32. g4 came about during chip shortage of 2021.

Very fair review there Albert! Thank you, you hit the nail on the head, this is an option for people who want something they can fly discretely and enjoy getting that 03 footage out. I've got tank drones and I've got delicate drones, this definitely falls in the second camp, even if it does look like a Brontosaurus 🦕

The frame design and it being lighteight will give way during impact compared to regular FPV drones. I wouldn't too worried especially since DJI O3's don't seem to break that easily unless you break the lens. Just get a lens protector and I think it'l be fine.

Really interesting seing a bunch of different smaller 03 drones, but I’m wondering how battery life works with those… can’t be that long compared to a larger quad
While running an ultra naked 03 I was able to get a 5 minute flight (cruising). I also, out of necessity, used an acrobee75 canopy. It puts the props in view, which I like as a way of saying “not for hire”, and it brings the camera weight much closer to the center. Oddly, I felt like the Savagebee canopy worked better on the acobee75 because it gave the ability for a more level angle. The canopy material is rather brittle. Is there any signs in the future they will be injection molded or just more durable? After a bad 65 product and I messed up the 75 trying to get more authority with a motor swap. The Savagebee is fun to fly, but I definitely plan on revisiting the 75 with the ultra naked.

But all you have is a frame, and HD 03 holder.
You could use a cheap frame and some popsicle sticks to hold the HD 03.
Kinda pricey for what you get.

Pretty neat drone but for what it is (cruiser) I'd probably lean more towards the AcroBee75. Its lighter and it has prop guards. Does this fly pretty similar to the the AcroBee75?

There's 2 extra as shown in the video and if you need more you get an unlimited supply. Personally, I don't think I will even need one.

No props in view, but ouch any crash might just kill the O3 cam. Seems to fly ok, especially in the low wind flight. Camera screws hopefully get replaced with the correct longer ones. Great review and honest opinions on the SavageBee Hd O3.
Great review Albert. Sorry, but this is a no go for me. Way too much risk of damaging the camera. Lightweight is one thing, sticking the camera out that far is asking for trouble, imo . For an experienced flyer as yourself that is only going to cruise. And is good at landing, I can see it as a useful tool.

That camera sticks out pretty far. It will be the thing that breaks in a crash.

The DJI O3 will survive well. We also have extra canopies when you purchase so you can always swap them if they break.
Based off the acro bee 75 that canopy material really sucks. That drone is so good but that canopy’s fragility is so aggravating. The Savage bee will be the same, on the beach replacing the canopy often.

Blah!!! I want to test out an HD drone so bad. I still use analog, but I just can’t see myself supporting DJI.
I fully understand that it seems like such a silly thing to say…but I prefer not to support that company even if it means me missing out on their pretty good tech.
