    Many days spent as a kid running around those tunnels when they were not barred off

      Thanks for the great comment mate! My childhood was spent in Weymouth, however we just stumbled on this place when we walked around Portland last year!

      Me too, we had such fun but never would have thought of vandalising like so many delinquents seem to enjoy doing these days. They have no respect for the history of our (and their) beautiful Portland

    Interesting place, can you see France from there or anywhere from the UK?
    Would also like to see a video on Robinhood's Bay whenever you get a chance to make it up that way.

      Thanks! You couldn’t see France on the day we went, however in Summer you can just about! I’ll have to head up there next! Thanks again mate!

      Maybe on a perfect day you might see it from Portland but it's hard to tell if its land or your mind playing tricks on you. You can see it clearly from Dover looking towards Calais. During WW2 they used to lob shells across the channel at the Germans and vis versa. It became known as hellfire corner.
