Also, most of the time the characters actually were canonically straight, or they only are okay with making a character bi if it means the character ends up dating the same sex and not the opposite sex. They want every character to be gay, trans, and not white.

Yeah here’s the thing, 10 years ago, you would have to get mods to make characters LGBT. Now for some characters, you have to get mods to make them straight. Nobody deleted the LGBT mods back then…why are we doing the reverse now?
How hypocritical is it to censor my comment. The mod was hateful because straight people didn't want to see a gay relationship in their game, not because it was catering to some people's taste. LGBT characters and stories have been few and far between up until the last 10 years or so, and the majority of stories are straight. To erase a queer story to just put a cookie cutter straight romance just tells me that the person who created that mod hates queer people. It's not as relevant the other way around because it's the norm, the "standard" if you would. The 90% erasing the 10% story is more authoritarian than the 10% erasing the 90% story because most stories are straight characters!

Just went onto the Forums on Nexusmods website. A user made a pretty straight forward post about this topic, in General. Polite, non confrontational, just voiced their disappointment for the incursion of political belief into the gaming space. Simply mentioned the example of making a character "more attractive" which could literally mean anything. No surprise, a moderator closed the thread. As a result, I'm no longer going to use Nexusmods or their software for modding. I'll be looking for an alternative. If there isn't one for a while, I won't be doing any modding. I would support the mod-authors pretty regularly, donating to them where possible. I'm not going to support hypocrisy or bias. I don't support it in either political direction. I never cared that there was a mod for nearly every sexually deviant activity imaginable. I figured that whatever somebody did in their own space, that wasn't directly hurting another person, that was their choice, which is supposed to be the point. If they want to act like authoritarian gestapo, they can do so without my support. This movement is just as terrible as the oppressive hyper-religious evangelical bullshit we were putting up with in the 80s and 90s. I'm a Christian and even thought it was Unconstitutional and authoritarian. The hair may be a different color, but the brain works the same.

I'm a female gamer, and I like making sexy characters. I always start with a male character for my first play, and then make a female for my second. I am guilty of trying to find the best clothing and dye for them too. There is a reason why the mods are popular. I noticed that it is very difficult to create a good looking male character. The "controversy" happening over the female character in stellar blade is nothing new. This happened in nier automata. In fact the director himself was asked "why does 2b look like that" and his response was "cus i like women" and he moved on. Nier automata moved on to be one of the most beloved games thats still has cameos in other games to this day.

For me their agenda became most noted when they stopped a mod allowing Judy in Cyberpunk 2077 to be turned bi, (which was what CDPR intended, evidenced from the game files) and yet have allowed mods which turned Panam bi. For me it all became pretty obvious what their deal was just from those 2 mods and how they were treated.
I wasn't aware of that case, but what made me abandon the platform was the Spiderman flag mod. Nexus wasn't content with removing the mod, they also personally attacked the user who uploaded it (virtue-signaling all the while) and told users: "If you don't like what we did, you can fuck off."

Nexus wants to show boat and vent and pretend like they are righteous taking that mod down (also see Spider-man's mod in removing lgbt+ flags) when they are not (see the other mods that should receive = attention that were mentioned). the conundrum of the male gaze is all about how to create women characters without making them sex symbols while making sure they still look like women. making them into sexually desirable objects isn't good but making them look less than womanish isn't better either. Ultimately the stories that do the best are indeed ones that have good vs evil, redemption, grace and mercy. Ones that are not scared to examine the evils of humanity while championing those who do good and help each other rising above the wickedness around them. All concepts the bible teaches. I also imagine that most courts would dismiss the charge anyways, it's very rare for anything video game related to be taken seriously in courts, especially seeing as Nexus has countless examples of mods that do very similar things, but no-one complains about them. Finally, it's very clear with Nexus' statements and past actions, that this is all pearl-clutching.

4chan already did that for mods that get banned off Nexus: BasedMods. It has the Non-Newtonian Spider-Man mod, the No Pronouns mods for Starfield and BGIII, as well as No Alphabets for same, etc. Guess this mod will be joining that archive site.
Actually, the Ser Aelyn mod went far further than just changing her identity, it came with an entirely new model, voice, refitted armor, different hairstyles to match up for Aelyn's different states during the game. It was an insane amount of work and a proper "sex change" mod. As for the mod that turned Wyll white, there's an entire mod series that aims to make every single character in the game Black and that one is very much celebrated and still up on nexusmods. The double standard is on a shameless display.

Stellar Blade is being made by Shift Up from what little I've seen (the official trailer). Shift Up as also made Nikke Goddess of Victory a gacha game that has only been out for a little over a year but has a strong fan base for the character designs and the extremely well written story (they also listen to the player base unlike some companies).
When other channels covered this mod last month, the mod author posted comments explaining their reason for the mod. Turns out it was a Muslim woman who wanted a knight in shining armour romance for Aylin and Isabel. She said she found in the files that Aylin was originally designed as male in the files so all she did was re-enable that IIRC. By the way, she was not responsible for the Wyll race change, I don't think. I find it bizarre that people care how others mod a single player game. Are they going to complain my male character romanced Shadowheart instead of Gale too?
I'm a woman, and I am okay with sexy women characters. To any other women out there who want to remove the male gaze, you just remember that when they come for all the attractive male characters as well. Those chiseled abs will become beer belly pudge; the sharp jawline will soften; and that beard win will migrate to the neck. Can't we all just agree that games are a form of escapism, and escapism includes both being and being surrounded by attractive people. Also 100% agree, and am sickened by Nexus's choices here. There is only one type of mod I can think of offhand that should be illegal, and I'm sure everybody here can guess as to what that would be, but beyond that, the modding scene needs to be free and open and allowed to do what it wants. People mod because they want to change parts of the game, and without it games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 would have died a decade ago.

They do it because some of them are just hot to them and want to have them as amale, like Aelyn. They even stated that they were going to release a mod of Aelyn's GF as a male as well afterward, making them a gay couple. Nexus Mods jumped the gun, and the harassers, in bullying the modder.

Being a 60yo gamer who has been gaming since gaming first began, I always made female characters because I would rather be looking at a beautiful female avatar. My friends always asked me why I don't make a male character and my answer always has been "I'd rather look at a female than a male".

For example, I started Assassins Creed Odyssey as the female protagonist but after a few hours, started a new game as a male protagonist and the immersion was there..... don't get me wrong, it it works for you great. Im a female gamer and I agree with you. There is a bias…and there is so much WOKE ideology these days that I feel it’s being Forced down our throats. Personally I think Bad Ass, Sexy females are pretty cool. Just as I think Sexy bad ass male characters are cool. What is even better is not just the look but the game play of the game…as you mentioned games like BG3, Dragon Age, etc have done. As a man who has almost exclusively worked in female-dominated fields, you better believe the double-standard is real. I actually got one job at a female-only office because I showed up to the interview in a pinstripe suit & lavender shirt with a purple-striped tie...so the hiring manager assumed I was gay and hired me immediately. I later learned that, if they hadn't made that mistake, i definitely wouldn't even have been considered for the job. I worked at another place in which I was the only male other than the janitor -- they constantly ranted and raved about the patriarchy and there being no difference between the sexes, but the moment any dirty or labor-intensive work was required suddenly they were demanding I do it...even though it wasn't my job. Also, having worked in the child-education & child-psychology fields (both overwhelmingly female-dominated), it's horrifying how fundamentally male interests, activities and behaviours are unquestioningly pathologized.

Also, I've read an article by a feminist on the topic of "objectified female characters in video games," and the feminist author did not judge Bayonetta at all. She claimed that the character was designed to be sexy and that's what makes Bayonetta Bayonetta, so it's not objectification. It becomes an objectification when a character is portrayed "sexy" when there is no logical argument of them being sexy. Similar to when Netflix makes some shows, they create a female character and make it afterwards "strong female figure" with no logical reason behind it. According to most feminist, that's objectification as well.

I am very annoyed with how Nexus tries to police mods when it's not required by law. They supposed to be a place for all mods, but nowwdays being only in Steam, Nexus and LoverLabs is not enough.

I don't think the creator of the Ser Aylin mod made the Wyll mod, but I could be wrong. It was just part of the No Alphabets modpack. She explained her reasoning for changing Aylin to be that she loved the male Guardian voice and wanted to use it for another character. It had nothing to do with the same sex romance. Thankfully it's being hosted elsewhere. The funny thing is I never would have heard of any of it were it not for the faux outrage, and now it's part of my game.

I'm reminded of the mod for Hogwart's Legacy that gave you the full range of skin tones instead of everyone being oddly brown for 1800's England. They were mad that they let you make actual white player characters but got pushback when it was pointed out that the mod also let you make much darker characters than the vanilla game let you make as well.

Mod is there on other mod-hosting websites, so it is really only Nexus who builds very negative PR for themselves as restricting rules of what "can" and what "can't" exists is pretty much censorship, like in some kind of totalitarian communist country... and they are very hypocritical when it comes to "equality". Some time ago they banned Spiderman mod that was replacing textures of some rainbow flags in the game to American flags.... which kinda makes sense - if you watch any movie that takes place in USA, they have their country flags everywhere. Anyway speaking of BG3 customization (because looks & voice & gender is really just that lol), I really don't understand why they "unlocked" a lot of things in character creator by default. I mean, have you tried pressing "random" button and see what you will get ? 🤣 I mean it would really help if there was a non-invasive labelled button switch that would lock/unlock appearance options (just like for example Dragonborns have skin tones locked by default to specific Dragon type, but if you want you can press a button and chose anything). That way the "random" button could at least be functional for 99% of players.

Nexus literally changed their policy on thy fly over night. So user trust was violated. It is not abut LGBT stuff or not. It is a about rules that previously were plain and simple: The only mods that were not allowed were the ones that were using copyrighted stuff or files form other games or mods that were "stolen" (proven to be uploaded by some one else than the creator of the mod), or were proven to be a virus/trojan. What the mod was "actually doing" inside the game was unimportant as it was not judged.
@@krasmasov6852 I think you miss understood my point. Previously, nexus was only removing mods that were either harmful to your system (virus etc) or contained copyrighted stuff. The only thing they were "judging" were technical aspects of the mod. Now they are all of the sudden also judging what mod actually changes in the game - which was never the case in the past. That is why mod creators are concerned. Because it opens a flood gates for various different criteria & limitations that will undoubtedly come in the future. And of course, at the end of the day it is the user who decides to use or not use mod in the single player game (even in multi player game, mod only affects experience of only one player and not all). World is getting more & more restrictive what can and what can't be ok. Have you seen what for example they have done to Oscar awards ? Right now movies like Saving Private Ryan or Titanic would not get an oscar at all. And it is same stuff that happens on Nexus.

I mean, consider that Nexus Mods also removed the "turn the pride flag into American flags" for Marvel's Spider-Man, but if you go on their right now, there are mods that let you turn all flags into Pride flags and they refuse to remove those. BTW, in regard to Stellar Blade: the gaming company recently posted on Twitter/X the fact that the Eve character was modeled after a 3D scan of a real life Korean model, showing a video of her being 3D scanned. So, those claiming that the character Eve isn't realistic body standards/unrealistically sexy can't make that claim since the character is literally a real life woman who looks like that.

So i haven't played this CP2077... but i do know that Judy and Panam are both characters your PC are able to romance, thus this criticism is absolutely valid. I disagree with the OP here because Dame Aylin is not able to be romanced. She has her partner, and whether or not you are male or female, you can't romance her, which is the biggest difference. Gale vs female Gale (still has potential to have had an LGB relationship with Mystra or with PC). Wyll vs female Wyll (still has potential to have an LGB relationship with Mizora or with PC)
Nexus can make decisions like this because they have no competition, there are no other sites that hosts and supports game modding for free, perhaps if someone could make a mod hosting site that will not bow to woke and lgbtq idealogy, that would be more than compete with nexus.
There are more than enough mod-repositories on the web. Most modders also have a patreon or share via Discord. Nexus is not even the largest mod-repository as well. Japan and China offer way more mods free from the western culture-war, but most asian modders don't allow translations of their mods anymore because in the past their mods got censored by the western uploaders. There's also a huge anti-Nexus/anti-western sentiment amongst non-western modmakers. Deserved, I say.

It's reasons like this why I'm not into modern gaming that much, because all the BS with woke stuff being shoved in modern video games, movies, TV shows, etc. It's because of reasons like this why I keep going back & collecting stuff for older entertainment instead. You deliberately neglected to mention that the mod is apart of the No Alphabets modpack, which is a series of mods meant to remove every instance of a queer person in the game. And yes, you did do it deliberately because the screenshot of the article you put up in your own video specifically mentions this. You didn't mention this because it complicates the narrative that this is a case for censorship, when the reality is that this particular mod broke a rule in their TOS and COC. NexusMods is inconsistent with regards to enforcing its own rules, but that wasn't the case for this situation.

I don't think anyone has a problem with inclusion or having different kinds of people in their stories. The problem is the groups that want to be "included" are pushy, obnoxious, toxic and hateful and refuse to let you just have something you can enjoy in the privacy of your own home. They have to know that the thing you love is turned completely into something unrecognizable if they don't like it.
Makes it apparent that there has been created- a popularized/pushed mindset - that wishes to express and normalize prejudice against those of a male, low melanin, and/or hetero normative denomination.
This is why I'm not a huge fan of BG3. Its pretty obvious that they were pandering heavily to the DEI crowd. I mean the fact that you have no choice in whether your party members pursue romantic relationships with you, regardless of gender, is pretty telling. BG3 just felt like the continuation of the naueseating politics of modern game, and it felt really out of place to me. I get a lot of people like it, but I wasn't that great of a fan.
This is why I’m only ever excited and play for Japanese games mostly and western games have been garbage they have great storytelling and characters with no agenda pushing. The only western game I’m excited at the moment is the next Witcher but even then I’m a little concerned with it.

Can you make the mod available on another site? I am against any form of censorship. Choice is GOOD. I did a run of BG3 with Gale as a female. It worked great. My MALE Dark Urge protagonist had an incredible romance with the female wizard. I would have otherwise never experienced the romance as I always play the MC as male, and I am not interested in gay romances. Don't be discouraged. Keep up the good work.

If anything the thing that was distracting to me in Stellar Blade was the hair physics. As a dedicated fan of Shift Up's games previously, they have a tendency to overdo the physics on stuff. Her hair flopping all over the place just makes me realize how in reality she should be shearing her own hair off with half those strikes, or getting grabbed by the hair in every engagement. Still gonna get the game and prolly love it since its Shift Up's first release outside of mobile, but that hair is not gonna stop bugging me the whole time I bet.

The mod is part of a collection of mods called the "no alphabets" pack. Their goal was to remove all LGBT characters, make everyone straight and make everyone white. This is the whole "Tolerance means you must tolerate my intolerance" all over again, except now worded as "to be inclusive, you have to include my anti-inclusivity". Are people allowed to use the mod? Sure. But Nexus is also allowed to remove that mod from their private website.
It is also funny that in a game where we can literally commit genocide and kill all sorts of people we are concerned about somehow having someone being white or straight. These people are such clowns. Hope the mod authors move their mods on the other websites so that this garbage nexusmods finally shuts down. They had the worst type of people as mods for years, which is why many Skyrim mods have been deleted by their authors out of protest already years ago.

How hypocritical is it to censor my comment. The mod was hateful because straight people didn't want to see a gay relationship in their game, not because it was catering to some people's taste. LGBT characters and stories have been few and far between up until the last 10 years or so, and the majority of stories are straight. To erase a queer story to just put a cookie cutter straight romance just tells me that the person who created that mod hates queer people. It's not as relevant the other way around because it's the norm, the "standard" if you would. The 90% erasing the 10% story is more authoritarian than the 10% erasing the 90% story because most stories are straight characters!

Just went onto the Forums on Nexusmods website. A user made a pretty straight forward post about this topic, in General. Polite, non confrontational, just voiced their disappointment for the incursion of political belief into the gaming space. Simply mentioned the example of making a character "more attractive" which could literally mean anything. No surprise, a moderator closed the thread. As a result, I'm no longer going to use Nexusmods or their software for modding. I'll be looking for an alternative. If there isn't one for a while, I won't be doing any modding. I would support the mod-authors pretty regularly, donating to them where possible. I'm not going to support hypocrisy or bias. I don't support it in either political direction. I never cared that there was a mod for nearly every sexually deviant activity imaginable. I figured that whatever somebody did in their own space, that wasn't directly hurting another person, that was their choice, which is supposed to be the point. If they want to act like authoritarian gestapo, they can do so without my support. This movement is just as terrible as the oppressive hyper-religious evangelical bullshit we were putting up with in the 80s and 90s. I'm a Christian and even thought it was Unconstitutional and authoritarian. The hair may be a different color, but the brain works the same.

I actually liked the aylin character and wouldn't have used the mod in question anyway. Personally I think her being gay was the right move even, it made for a sort of interesting question where at first your asking yourself if ketheric didn't like isobel dating aylin because aylin was a woman but later you come to see his concern was more justified with the unequal weird power dynamic between the two in the relationship.

I'm a female gamer, and I like making sexy characters. I always start with a male character for my first play, and then make a female for my second. I am guilty of trying to find the best clothing and dye for them too. There is a reason why the mods are popular. I noticed that it is very difficult to create a good looking male character. In fact the director himself was asked "why does 2b look like that" and his response was "cus i like women" and he moved on. Nexus wants to show boat and vent and pretend like they are righteous taking that mod down (also see Spider-man's mod in removing lgbt+ flags) when they are not (see the other mods that should receive = attention that were mentioned). the conundrum of the male gaze is all about how to create women characters without making them sex symbols while making sure they still look like women. making them into sexually desirable objects isn't good but making them look less than womanish isn't better either. Ultimately the stories that do the best are indeed ones that have good vs evil, redemption, grace and mercy. Ones that are not scared to examine the evils of humanity while championing those who do good and help each other rising above the wickedness around them. All concepts the bible teaches. I also imagine that most courts would dismiss the charge anyways, it's very rare for anything video game related to be taken seriously in courts, especially seeing as Nexus has countless examples of mods that do very similar things, but no-one complains about them.

4chan already did that for mods that get banned off Nexus: BasedMods. It has the Non-Newtonian Spider-Man mod, the No Pronouns mods for Starfield and BGIII, as well as No Alphabets for same, etc.

Actually, the Ser Aelyn mod went far further than just changing her identity, it came with an entirely new model, voice, refitted armor, different hairstyles to match up for Aelyn's different states during the game. It was an insane amount of work and a proper "sex change" mod.
As for the mod that turned Wyll white, there's an entire mod series that aims to make every single character in the game Black and that one is very much celebrated and still up on nexusmods. The double standard is on a shameless display.

Stellar Blade is being made by Shift Up from what little I've seen (the official trailer). Shift Up as also made Nikke Goddess of Victory a gacha game that has only been out for a little over a year but has a strong fan base for the character designs and the extremely well written story (they also listen to the player base unlike some companies).

Turns out it was a Muslim woman who wanted a knight in shining armour romance for Aylin and Isabel. She said she found in the files that Aylin was originally designed as male in the files so all she did was re-enable that IIRC. By the way, she was not responsible for the Wyll race change, I don't think.

I'm a woman, and I am okay with sexy women characters. To any other women out there who want to remove the male gaze, you just remember that when they come for all the attractive male characters as well. Those chiseled abs will become beer belly pudge; the sharp jawline will soften; and that beard win will migrate to the neck. Can't we all just agree that games are a form of escapism, and escapism includes both being and being surrounded by attractive people.
Also 100% agree, and am sickened by Nexus's choices here. There is only one type of mod I can think of offhand that should be illegal, and I'm sure everybody here can guess as to what that would be, but beyond that, the modding scene needs to be free and open and allowed to do what it wants. People mod because they want to change parts of the game, and without it games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 would have died a decade ago.

Being a 60yo gamer who has been gaming since gaming first began, I always made female characters because I would rather be looking at a beautiful female avatar. My friends always asked me why I don't make a male character and my answer always has been "I'd rather look at a female than a male".

As a man who has almost exclusively worked in female-dominated fields, you better believe the double-standard is real. I actually got one job at a female-only office because I showed up to the interview in a pinstripe suit & lavender shirt with a purple-striped tie...so the hiring manager assumed I was gay and hired me immediately. I later learned that, if they hadn't made that mistake, i definitely wouldn't even have been considered for the job. I worked at another place in which I was the only male other than the janitor -- they constantly ranted and raved about the patriarchy and there being no difference between the sexes, but the moment any dirty or labor-intensive work was required suddenly they were demanding I do it...even though it wasn't my job. Also, having worked in the child-education & child-psychology fields (both overwhelmingly female-dominated), it's horrifying how fundamentally male interests, activities and behaviours are unquestioningly pathologized.

Also, I've read an article by a feminist on the topic of "objectified female characters in video games," and the feminist author did not judge Bayonetta at all. She claimed that the character was designed to be sexy and that's what makes Bayonetta Bayonetta, so it's not objectification. It becomes an objectification when a character is portrayed "sexy" when there is no logical argument of them being sexy. Similar to when Netflix makes some shows, they create a female character and make it afterwards "strong female figure" with no logical reason behind it. According to most feminist, that's objectification as well.

I don't think the creator of the Ser Aylin mod made the Wyll mod, but I could be wrong. It was just part of the No Alphabets modpack. She explained her reasoning for changing Aylin to be that she loved the male Guardian voice and wanted to use it for another character. It had nothing to do with the same sex romance. Thankfully it's being hosted elsewhere. The funny thing is I never would have heard of any of it were it not for the faux outrage, and now it's part of my game.

I'm reminded of the mod for Hogwart's Legacy that gave you the full range of skin tones instead of everyone being oddly brown for 1800's England. They were mad that they let you make actual white player characters but got pushback when it was pointed out that the mod also let you make much darker characters than the vanilla game let you make as well.

Mod is there on other mod-hosting websites, so it is really only Nexus who builds very negative PR for themselves as restricting rules of what "can" and what "can't" exists is pretty much censorship, like in some kind of totalitarian communist country... and they are very hypocritical when it comes to "equality". And it is not the 1st time Nexus does that. Some time ago they banned Spiderman mod that was replacing textures of some rainbow flags in the game to American flags.... which kinda makes sense - if you watch any movie that takes place in USA, they have their country flags everywhere. Anyway speaking of BG3 customization (because looks & voice & gender is really just that lol), I really don't understand why they "unlocked" a lot of things in character creator by default. I mean, have you tried pressing "random" button and see what you will get ? 🤣 I mean it would really help if there was a non-invasive labelled button switch that would lock/unlock appearance options (just like for example Dragonborns have skin tones locked by default to specific Dragon type, but if you want you can press a button and chose anything). That way the "random" button could at least be functional for 99% of players.

@@krasmasov6852 No, it was not, because now modders really don't know what mod can and what mod can't be uploaded to Nexus, so they are looking for alternative mod hosting websites that actually promote "equality". Nexus literally changed their policy on thy fly over night. So user trust was violated. It is not abut LGBT stuff or not. It is a about rules that previously were plain and simple: The only mods that were not allowed were the ones that were using copyrighted stuff or files form other games or mods that were "stolen" (proven to be uploaded by some one else than the creator of the mod), or were proven to be a virus/trojan. What the mod was "actually doing" inside the game was unimportant as it was not judged.

@@krasmasov6852 I think you miss understood my point. Previously, nexus was only removing mods that were either harmful to your system (virus etc) or contained copyrighted stuff. The only thing they were "judging" were technical aspects of the mod. Now they are all of the sudden also judging what mod actually changes in the game - which was never the case in the past. That is why mod creators are concerned. Because it opens a flood gates for various different criteria & limitations that will undoubtedly come in the future. And of course, at the end of the day it is the user who decides to use or not use mod in the single player game (even in multi player game, mod only affects experience of only one player and not all).
World is getting more & more restrictive what can and what can't be ok. Have you seen what for example they have done to Oscar awards ? Right now movies like Saving Private Ryan or Titanic would not get an oscar at all. And it is same stuff that happens on Nexus.

I mean, consider that Nexus Mods also removed the "turn the pride flag into American flags" for Marvel's Spider-Man, but if you go on their right now, there are mods that let you turn all flags into Pride flags and they refuse to remove those.
There is a very clear bias here and it's just another reason I refuse to use Nexus.

BTW, in regard to Stellar Blade: the gaming company recently posted on Twitter/X the fact that the Eve character was modeled after a 3D scan of a real life Korean model, showing a video of her being 3D scanned. So, those claiming that the character Eve isn't realistic body standards/unrealistically sexy can't make that claim since the character is literally a real life woman who looks like that.

So i haven't played this CP2077... but i do know that Judy and Panam are both characters your PC are able to romance, thus this criticism is absolutely valid. I disagree with the OP here because Dame Aylin is not able to be romanced. She has her partner, and whether or not you are male or female, you can't romance her, which is the biggest difference.
Gale vs female Gale (still has potential to have had an LGB relationship with Mystra or with PC). Wyll vs female Wyll (still has potential to have an LGB relationship with Mizora or with PC)
Nexus can make decisions like this because they have no competition, there are no other sites that hosts and supports game modding for free, perhaps if someone could make a mod hosting site that will not bow to woke and lgbtq idealogy, that would be more than compete with nexus.
There are more than enough mod-repositories on the web. Most modders also have a patreon or share via Discord. Nexus is not even the largest mod-repository as well. Japan and China offer way more mods free from the western culture-war, but most asian modders don't allow translations of their mods anymore because in the past their mods got censored by the western uploaders.
There's also a huge anti-Nexus/anti-western sentiment amongst non-western modmakers. Deserved, I say.
Kinda like how EA somehow managed to get the NFL deal where they create the worst football games every year, but they can keep doing that because there's legally no competition.

You wouldn't believe how big a problem that it is and how deep that it goes. Even on sites specifically created to host mods of certain qualities, like for instance Lovers Lab, mods get reported for their content.

It's reasons like this why I'm not into modern gaming that much, because all the BS with woke stuff being shoved in modern video games, movies, TV shows, etc. It's because of reasons like this why I keep going back & collecting stuff for older entertainment instead. Because back then I didn't have to worry about weather the stuff I buy ends up sucking or talking down to me like I have ADHD or something. Like yeah, we had stuff in the 90's & 2000's that sucked as well, but the good stuff always out sold the bad stuff in a good way, but now every single day it's the complete opposite and now actual good entertainment is being less made & replaced with bad or mediocre ones instead. But the problem is that western entertainment industries are just being blinded by their own activism that they basically detaching themselves from reality and just make random stuff to appeal towards the minorities instead of actual fully functional human beings. And yet stuff like Godzilla Minus One for example actually sold really well despite it's short budget, because people want actual good stories with real likable characters, instead of being constantly reminded about modern day bullshit.

Thank you for telling me about the Gale and Wyll mods. I knew there was some hypocrisy in here but couldnt find it in Baldur's Gate but, there are more than a few similar mods for Stardew Valley.

You deliberately neglected to mention that the mod is apart of the No Alphabets modpack, which is a series of mods meant to remove every instance of a queer person in the game. And yes, you did do it deliberately because the screenshot of the article you put up in your own video specifically mentions this. You didn't mention this because it complicates the narrative that this is a case for censorship, when the reality is that this particular mod broke a rule in their TOS and COC. NexusMods is inconsistent with regards to enforcing its own rules, but that wasn't the case for this situation.
This is why they are trying so so hard to penetrate the JP entertainment industry, because they know themselves, they are losing money to them.
I like how they know they're failing, but instead of going "we need to fix what we're doing wrong" they say "no, I have to bring everyone else down by making them do the same thing that made everyone hate me."

I don't think anyone has a problem with inclusion or having different kinds of people in their stories.
The problem is the groups that want to be "included" are pushy, obnoxious, toxic and hateful and refuse to let you just have something you can enjoy in the privacy of your own home. They have to know that the thing you love is turned completely into something unrecognizable if they don't like it.

Best part of the Aylin change is that the game files for a male Aylin were already in the game, they just switched them.
This is why I'm not a huge fan of BG3. Its pretty obvious that they were pandering heavily to the DEI crowd. I mean the fact that you have no choice in whether your party members pursue romantic relationships with you, regardless of gender, is pretty telling. BG3 just felt like the continuation of the naueseating politics of modern game, and it felt really out of place to me. I get a lot of people like it, but I wasn't that great of a fan.
This is why I’m only ever excited and play for Japanese games mostly and western games have been garbage they have great storytelling and characters with no agenda pushing. The only western game I’m excited at the moment is the next Witcher but even then I’m a little concerned with it.

I’d like to clarify that I never created any white wyll mod. In fact a brown, Muslim woman [I'm disgusted that I even have to mention this!]. So imagine my reaction when they branded me a white male supremacist. I am the lead developer of the Sir Aylin mod along with a few other members of the modding community. My motivation for creating this mod is:
(1) I have a massive crush on the male guardian voice and missed him a lot in act 3. So having him show up as a knight in shining armour was very appealing to me.
(2) To add NOT remove options to the game, including the ability to have a male presenting Aylin with a female voice and vice versa. You’ll see the files are divided up specifically to allow for this.

I am disappointed by the mainstream gaming media, who have been publishing stories purely based on the allegations of a single angry troll.

Modding is inherently a good and creative endeavour. It is important for people to be able to tailor their gaming experiences to what they enjoy. I think we all have a lot to learn from this.

I did a run of BG3 with Gale as a female. It worked great. My MALE Dark Urge protagonist had an incredible romance with the female wizard.
I would have otherwise never experienced the romance as I always play the MC as male, and I am not interested in gay romances.

If anything the thing that was distracting to me in Stellar Blade was the hair physics. As a dedicated fan of Shift Up's games previously, they have a tendency to overdo the physics on stuff. Her hair flopping all over the place just makes me realize how in reality she should be shearing her own hair off with half those strikes, or getting grabbed by the hair in every engagement. Still gonna get the game and prolly love it since its Shift Up's first release outside of mobile, but that hair is not gonna stop bugging me the whole time I bet.
These mods are on BasedMods if anybody wants them. It's a shame the modding community is being segregated by politics, but there are alternatives.

The mod is part of a collection of mods called the "no alphabets" pack. Their goal was to remove all LGBT characters, make everyone straight and make everyone white. This is the whole "Tolerance means you must tolerate my intolerance" all over again, except now worded as "to be inclusive, you have to include my anti-inclusivity".
Are people allowed to use the mod? Sure. But Nexus is also allowed to remove that mod from their private website.
It is also funny that in a game where we can literally commit genocide and kill all sorts of people we are concerned about somehow having someone being white or straight.
These people are such clowns.
Hope the mod authors move their mods on the other websites so that this garbage nexusmods finally shuts down.
