Ah yes, an accurate and unbiased retelling of Norse mythology. Can't wait to hear what you have to say on this insanity

If you're looking for more crazy game reviews with similar long-form content, I recommend Ross's Game Dungeon: Armed & Delirious part 1 & 2, it's just about the only game that I can confidently call more incomprehensible than Ring.
Ross's Game Dungeon in general is full of great old and forgotten adventure game reviews and he tends to avoid everything that other creators have already covered, so the series has a lot of surprise hits.

The edgy adventure game you couldn't remember was Anonymous Agony. And you are right!
When I tried rewatching that episode, I noped out in the first 10 minutes. I had seen it the whole way through the first time, and I listen to Ring once a day at work because the sounds of Mandalores suffering is beautiful (also Siegfried's death scream at the hands of the trees is a work of art). But Anonymous Agony is just, suffering to watch and listen. And the reason is simply, because its extremely cringy.
Ring at least had good heart and intentions behind it even if the final result is a grimoire that is almost nonsense and the death of Cryo Interactive the publisher the same year. Anonymous Agony was the product of a narcissist projecting himself (and what many teens wish they could be) through an entire work staff he had more or less abused, and it showed in the final product. Anonymous Agony was a vapid, self aggrandization vanity project, and we all have come to increasingly hate that in recent years with the many events that have happened across the years. Ring, at least, was trying to be something for everyone, even if it failed spectacularly in some regards, but also won spectacularly in some regards.
Addendum: Siegfried has the best death scream since the Henry Stickmin games and Spy from TF2.

I got bored from watching Anonymous Agony. After trying to read My Immortal and stopping not even a third of the way through I have become immune to anything of lesser cringe simply through built up tolerance

    This game.
If you are going to do these feature length movie reactions, might I suggest "The Mystery Of The Bomb Collar Bank Heist" by Wendigoon channel. Talk about a mind melting story.

I've actually heard about the original Ring of the Nibelung, but this Mandalore review was the first time I was reminded of it in like almost 20 years. Waaay back when I was a kid, I was a mega fan of LotR (like I would watch the entire trilogy nearly every weekend, my parents gave me free reign over the dvd player for some reason) and I remember a movie based on the play getting advertised on one of the big TV channels. It was some lower budget made-for-TV flick from the early 00s and it got marketed as the 'inspiration' behind LotR and as a similarly epic movie. I got hyped at the time obviously and when I eventually watched it, I got incredibly bored in like 10 minutes, thought 'wtf where's the elves/dwarves/orcs, this is so lame' and changed the channel, never to think about it again until Mandy's video
