I feel like all modern Paper Mario games (aside from SS) were solid. I liked Color Splash and Origami King was my first ever PM game island I loved it. You’re definitely taking way to far
@2:57 Yes, people would indeed buy games, collect Nintendo points and return them. Other times, they'd trade in games to GameStop/EBgames or sell games back on Ebay, but obviously, the Club Nintendo points were used/redeemed.
At least with the gold coins now you can also use them in lieu of some of the cost of your games. So if you buy a digital Switch game you can replace some with gold points and you get 10 points per dollar on new physical carts if you redeem it in the settings. Not amazing but it's helped me get a few cheap games I wanted or DLC for some other games.
Before you watch anything else of Scott's, you really need to watch his Mario party 1 and Mario party 2 videos. It has a similar chaotic energy to DougDoug, but it's just him and his friends having a good time.
i don't know how nintendo before the nintendo switch managed to give people free items (yeah we had to buy their games, but still free items with free shipping was insaneeeee)
I just looked up the Japanese Rewards. There wasnt that much interesting stuff- More carrying bags, shirts, Coloured Wii Wheels, 3DS Background Themes, The Zelda Puzzle. The 1 really cool thing was a Build it Yourself Mario Statue Also On the topic of the Game and Watch, Scott has a pretty great video on the history of the Game and Watch if you want to learn more on that

If you're curious about Nintendo's history before entering the video game industry, you can check out Scott's "Nintendo Before Video Games" video
To me, Club Nintendo's only legacy is being the reason we had shitty Paper Mario games for over a decade
I feel like the weren’t shitty they were just ok apart from sticker star which I would agree sucked

“Join club nintendo today Mac” actual between round quote from Doc Lewis in the Punch Out Wii game.

Oddly enough, the points on used games I got, had never been redeemed.

If enjoy Scott's videos, you should watch his series on the Wii U. They're hours of enjoyment.
You should react to Scott's game stores video
I believe that is the first in the timeline to introduce another character

There was an even OLDER club nintendo back in N64 and older, but that awesome one died long ago
You should react to Scott's "Game Room" and "Game Collecting" videos
You should do his game food video
Btw my nintendo does offer physical rewards nowadays
I recommend the Burback channel that had a video recommended in your feed before the video
Rainforest cafe?
I'd love for you to see Scott's "Desert Island Gaming" video!😄👌

21:13 "The Wii Fit"? Do you mean the Balance Board?
You should really react to the Mario Party video
Do this
No, he’s gotta watch in timeline order. If we want him to do the good shit we gotta go back to when everyone was introduced
You should watch Caddicarus some time

18:18 what the heck is voltorb flip?
Voltorb flip is a Pokémon mini-game in the gen 2 remakes that’s basically a combination of pitcross and mine sweeper
It’s a mini game in Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver. It was a replacement for the casino slots.
Club Duck when?
Can you please react to "Smile like you mean it" by Paranoid DJ?
My nintendo has had some pretty cool stuff, but it still sucks balls
Please react to Caddicarus
Most of Caddy's videos are too long for a typical Kyle reaction.
@@taylorkeating6884 that’s the issue I have
@@theduckgoesmoothen maybe split it up into more digestible parts, and make your reaction a multi part thing.
@@masteredultrainstinctlucar1239 every time I’ve done that the video has performed terribly
@@taylorkeating6884 not every video caddy makes is long.
