The Heartbreaking Story of DMX

  • When Tupac and Biggie passed away, many thought that we will never again hear another hard and cutthroat gangsta rap. But in the late 90s the world heard DMX. Most of DMX's tracks are filled to the brim with feelings of anger and aggression, because these negative emotions haunted him his entire life. When he was just a kid, he endured severe beatings from his own mom. He also ended up in juvie. At just the age of 14, he tried weed and crack for the first time, and he was introduced to theft and a life of crime. All of this took a toll on his mental health from a very early age.

His life is a prime example of what toxic and abusive parents will do to kids. Ive watched it happen in my own family. How bad parenting will break a child’s spirit, will corrupt their youth, expose them to shit they shouldn’t be exposed to. I always said every kid deserves parents but every parent doesn’t deserve their kids. And I bet his mom and family probably felt like he owed them once he became famous, like they deserved forgiveness and gaslit him if he didn’t

@@ratbatnufftime2861You think money changes a childhood like the one he had? You show yourself not to have anyone around you who s struggling with this type of problem. Because if you did you would know it's not that easy, and by the time he had the 30whatever u say in his pocket, it was already too late. You don't understand drug addiction, you're not qualified to make such a statement. You also strike me as a sheltered, unsympathetic, incoherent person who lacks empathy and REAL friends. I discovered X when I was a young teenager, full of rage and anger myself. I was heavily into weed and alcohol, black metal music and goth music at the time, but when I heard his songs, in particular the real dark ones like "Damien 1, 2 and 3" I knew that I had found a kindred spirit. I have always likened him to the rap industry's version of a black metal artist, in that he can express his rage and vulnerabilities like no other. His music truly saved me through some dark times, and I will forever hold a special spot in my heart for him. May he finally be at peace.

DMX does not have a heartbreaking story. DMX has an inspiring story. He stood, he fell, and he got back up time and time again. He went through what he went through but that made X, X. He is, was, and will forever be a legend, in art, in life, and legacy.

Sometimes. It's not the addiction that kills us , it's the way people treat us doing our addiction that truly brings us down, feeling shamed and at our lowest from other people that looks down on what we are doing, it has an super big affect on how we move and then avoid so many people who we don't want to face
