I was 13 years old in 1998. I had my adult cousin buy me almost of DMX tapes behind my grandmother back. She didn't like rap at all. I even trick her to buy There was X and kept the prayer on repeat, her friend turn it to the next song and grandmother went back in the store to get her money back. I really did dislike her snitch friend for that.
I got into hip-hop when I started high school in 2001. Ludacris, Dr.Dre, and DMX were at the forefront. DMX's signature voice and flow never left me. It's only in the last year I've found out how hard he had it and how badly in debt he was. Very sad tale for someone so extremely talented. If we're being honest, it was all the money he amassed that kept him going. If he was an average Joe he'd have been stopped dead in his tracks back in the early 2000s
He seemed to have had a great way of thinking, his music was on its own level, not like nobody else, he didn't copy nobody in the way he rapped, he came with his very own style, God allowed him to still be great,
That way of thinking was molded by, well crack abuse, made him a monster, no other rappers are like this cause no other rapper uses crack and admits to it like dmx did in 98

@NastyFuhk "Hurt people, hurt people" Much like "abused children" I'm sure you can understand my meaning, tend to "pass it on" to other children when they are adults. I can't give a reason why it happens, but it's very common. Not a justification either. I've got a little girl and a little boy I'm willing to kill for to protect.
I never went through the same hard childhood he did, but I wish he knew how much his music impacted this suburban white boy who had no friends till he was 12 and was bullied relentlessly. I still play his music to this day when in the gym training and sparring. 25 years later and this man’s music still inspires me and drives me.

I always prayed that he wouldn't die at his lowest and I thank you God for answering my prayer, he looked good doing his last days , his weight was up he looked good and it was a big shock when it happened, we was finally caught off guard when he did die, we woulda thought it would had been doing his worst times but it wasn't then that he left, God allowed him to make some changes and bounce back before he passed....

@@torrijones8434 X was everywhere in 98. He was on Mase's album, he was on LLCoolJ's album, Ice Cube's album, Clue's mixtape, and I can count at least twenty more features. X was white hot. Man, 1998 was such a good year for East Coast hip-hop.
Tragic that without this terrible childhood he wouldn't have been the legendary rapper with his unique aggressive style that we all loved.
You a real one Dmx you still turned out to be a good human being after sucha hard life you had growing up Rest In Peace man😢
Hes a real dog abuser.
I wish I could have had him as a friend, he had such a pure soul
RIP X 🕊️ Gone but NEVER forgotten 😢
I’ll never forget him asking me to send him my music … he gave me confidence & the understanding that everyone is watching 😢
wtf wtf wtf semaj tv is that u??
I will never forget I met him at Walmart, in Greer, SC..in 2012 he was so cool and down to Earth R.I.P...X 🙏🏾
There is no more authentic artist you can find like this anymore.
Not happy to hear about the animal abuse though. Not sure what that's about, I know he loved his dogs, but I assume he wasn't mentally able to take care of them.
One of my favorite rappers. Leader of the dog pack. Never knew he used to rescue stray dogs. Takes a dog to know a dog. Truly a heart of gold man. Rest In Peace a true hip hop legend.
DMX is my all time favorite RAPER ❤️ God bless him and all of his !!!!
Rapper**** raper is crazy
He is a god tier raper 😂
@@luckylefty914lmao it is
@@postmellon8138 and the fact they wrote it in all caps 😂😂
It’s sad that regardless of the trauma she caused he still found it in his heart to love her because she was his “mother” that takes a lot to accept. We can definitely divorce our parents.
Feel the pain, feel the joy, of a man who was never a boy.
💯
I remember when Tupac said:
"I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world."
DMX Was the True example of that.
What lmao DMX didn't change the world n Tupac didn't get a chance to spark a change, dude you just tied 2 things completely unrelated together to sound good
Both were great(my top 2 rappers before you say im a hater) but none did what Tupac quoted
@@ballsdeep5336 you aint wrong
@@ballsdeep5336 yea you right, they just rappers
Lmfao tupac started 2 years before dmx got a career. Lmfao dmx was already dmx when tupac was famous
Nope! Barack Obama could be. Fuck DMX. What did he change? He even hated Tupac Shakur. He had a rap against him because he thought Tupac was a contemporary and not better than him.
Miss you, Slipping and Lord give me a sign... Continue to rest in peace DMX Gone 2 Soon🙏🏽♥️😥..Your music live On♥️♥️♥️
Realest nigga ever to come out of the East Coast and one of the GOATS in rap/hip hop,RIP DMX.🙏🕊🕊🕊
His brain was allowed to rest before his heart, because his mind was on another level but his heart was with us , he loved what he did ...
I don't even have the words to express or describe how much DMX meant to me, not just the career or the life he had in this world.
We all were truly blessed to witness all of the good things that happened to X, may his soul finally rest eternally in peace and may his music forever live on. ❤
🕊
RIP DMX, the rapper that got me into hip hop as a genre. you will be missed
hes a deadbeat.help his kids
Me too. Him and Eminem
Rap is the music of the Hip-hop culture.
Same here. I felt so sad when he passed away. I still feel sad when I remember all his struggles and losing his battle to addiction.
Same man. First rap artist I ever got into at maybe 7 and made me love hip hop as much as I do today. Got a tat in his honor. Rip Dark man X
I met DMX at a rehab facility down the street here in New Hampshire. I have so much respect for him. I was 20 years old when I moved to the Bronx, New York and they were filming parts of DMX‘s
“Ruff Ryders Anthem” video
in Hunts Point & Southern Boulevard Da Bronx NYC
🕯️DOG🕯️BLESS🕯️DMX🕯️🕊️
There really never be anyone like DMX again so unique. I came up on blood of my blood and grand champ. Such a loss to hip hop R.I.P 🙏 Dark Man X 🙏
His whole life was a constant uphill battle against his demons... He eventually lost, but he never gave up
RIP ❌️
If we're being honest, it was all the money he amassed that kept him going. If he was an average Joe he'd have been stopped dead in his tracks back in the early 2000s
He never lost because he kept fighting till he died
Any video that comes out about Dark Man X.. I’m clicking on it, evert time. He’s the definition of an actual legend.
DMX put me on his last mixtape. Will always respect him and honor him.
Speedy Noriega ft Dog Abuser. Sick!
Legendary 🔥🔥
He seemed to have had a great way of thinking, his music was on its own level, not like nobody else, he didn't copy nobody in the way he rapped, he came with his very own style, God allowed him to still be great,
That way of thinking was molded by, well crack abuse, made him a monster, no other rappers are like this cause no other rapper uses crack and admits to it like dmx did in 98
God ? 😂
@@TheVirtualOz I know you don't think that humans created the earth, animals and every living creature 🤔
Never saw this side of DMX.
Breaks my fucking heart seeing him hurt like that.
It still feels like yesterday since he died
Rest in peace DMX you are truly missed 😢
DMX had some absolutely dope songs, he had a lot of heart and I feel so sorry for the hard life he had to endure because of his parents. He'll always be on my playlists 👊
Thank God for giving us DMX 🙏🏽🙅🏽♂️🕊👑
Damn i didn't know his story, such a talented man not only with music, acting too, he's really good, sad what a broken household does to a child.
Legends never die Continue to rest in paradise X 🕊🙏🕊🙏🎈🎈 no more pain . He lived a life of abandonment by his mother trying to survive on his own on the streets He had no guidance in his life it wasn't his fault. The only one truly loved him was his grandmother. He's daughter is following his foot steps. DMX will always be my favorite rapper .No one will never take his place in the rap game. He was a original 🤩💙🌹🙏🕊
Long Live DMX. Legends live forever in spirit and X was one of them. 👏🏾👏🏾
RIP X, I'll never forget how dirty they did you.
Thanks for everything over the years, I'll miss you
Preach❤ he was really done dirty 😢even by his son who was brainwashed by his greedy baby mama
Don't forget what Jay Z did to him. Buying out Def Jam to prevent DMX new album from dropping although the video was already done. Jay a true snake.
@@BrooklynZ00 damn right. Tell em.
@@BrooklynZ00”you used to be my dog you was in my left titty, screamed ride or die thought you would die with. Found out you a bitch , you can’t even ride with me, Now it’s a war and you ain’t on the side with me”
Even though he struggled, he was a slick philanthropist. I'm grateful he kept some faith in TMH. It's painful hearing this. Trauma. The one who should love and protect is your bully? Conflict, confusion and anger. I'm glad dogs were able to give him reciprocal love. Rest well Boomer, thanks for rocking with bro.
I was a total metal head in highschool. DMX was the first rapper I liked and the first rap cd I ever bought...rip Mr Simmons
He lived a life of let down from all the adults around him. All he wanted was a family to take care of him.
Except for his sweet grandma
@NastyFuhk true sad but true
@NastyFuhk wow that was deep, generational curses
Maybe it's because he never truly got a good example of how to take care of one no father or mother were there even to just observe.
@NastyFuhk "Hurt people, hurt people"
Much like "abused children" I'm sure you can understand my meaning, tend to "pass it on" to other children when they are adults.
I love that man, he wore his heart on his sleeve and impacted so many people in a good way. His prayer circles were amazing, his music and shows were phenomenal and his spirit was kind but he was broken. I miss you X you will always be in my heart and my playlist #TopDog
DMX gave me strength many of times ,by just watching him be his self, he wasn't fake ,he wasn't a hater, he believed in our higher power, he understood things in a way that most don't and won't, he showed us so many things and reasons to truly believe in what we all know ,he was my brother from his mother...
Thank you for keeping the youth informed on the ones who came before.
Thank u for watching!
Saw DMX in '06, he was on top of the bass bins during Ruff Ryders Anthem, great energy 🔥
*My Favorite Rapper....*
*Now And Forever*
*They'll Never Be Another One*
*Miss You ❌️*
He made all hits , all classics , all hits for life , who else did that
I always prayed that he wouldn't die at his lowest and I thank you God for answering my prayer, he looked good doing his last days , his weight was up he looked good and it was a big shock when it happened, we was finally caught off guard when he did die, we woulda thought it would had been doing his worst times but it wasn't then that he left, God allowed him to make some changes and bounce back before he passed....
I grew up in this era and was always a fan of DMX. I ended up growing out of certain music, but I always had a connection to DMX to this day
His mother is to BLAME - what a wicked cold hearted human she is.
And also the Jehovahs Witness organization is to blame . It is an evil abusive cult that rips families apart and destroys innocent children’s lives !
One of my all time favourites.. his voice was something else 🙌🏻
DMX needs a movie
Dogg men coming soon with an official album
Almost been through the same! I love X. Always will. Rip legend! I will always love you and your music!
Rip X thanks for helping me get through my childhood.
Isolation is the worst when you are a bright person that doesn't understand as a young man
This made me feel for Earl Simmons and made me miss DMX, but he’s still here in the music
He is truly a one of one … he was/is one of the rappers I first heard as a kid and it was over with after that … RIP dog 💯🙏🏻 TILL THIS DAY I HEAR HIS MUSIC AND HAVE A SPOTIFY PLAYLIST MADE INCLUDING EVERYONE OF HIS SONGS ON HIS CATALOG EVERY SONG💪🏻
I started listening to X in 1998 and I never stopped. #thedog. In 1999 I found a pit bull in my backyard and named him Boomer. I love you forever Darkman❤
One of my all-time favorite rapper. RIP Earl you are free now, may you have the love, peace and healing, in the ancestral realm, your parents neglected to give you in this incarnation. Rest In Power X Ase.
RIP to a legend. Miss you X 🙏🏽
I been listening to DMX since he brought out his first album I had no I idea that happened to him as a child, I knew he had it ruff but not like that. God bless you D, and rest in peace my dog ❤
I met him in NYC, and he was approachable and even talked for 5 minutes...and 1,000s have had the same experience.
His mother and her boyfriends should had been in jail for abusing him. DMX should had made diss songs about them like how Eminem dissed his mother
It's heartbreaking to see him hurt by his childhood😭
Childhood always affect the future of a human and no matter how many years will go by, till the day of death a man will be hurt. That's why we need to care about kids! Always!
Just to hear the pain in his voice and the tears flowing will make anyone heart hurt. I think his mother looked at DMX as a reminder of his father and took out all of her frustration on him and beat her something awful. All he wanted was to be loved and something people do not know HOW to love. Rest in Peace Dmx
R.I.P DMX helped me get through a lot growing up & also helped me win a few fights.
I hope that God grants him paradise because he merits it. After everything bad happened in his life especially in his youth, he never gave up his faith to God and praises him. Now that´s a real champion. Long Live DMX. May Jesus take him to his side.
ya gotta fear Him as much as you love Him 🕊
Thanks for your music. Felt like therapy back when I was younger. You’re being missed G
Damn! DMX's mom was wrong for how she did him. She has to live with that 4 the rest of her days. She has to know that she played a major part in him being how he was in the later part of his life. I hope he's up in heaven living in paradise like the king he was. Long Live X yo.🕊🕊🕊💯💯💯✌🏽💪🏾🐕
She doesn't care, because she believes in her religious delusions
Well I love all of D.M.X. songs and at the end of the day we all made some bad call,s in life RIP D.M.X. we miss you so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭
