    I was 19 when I fell pregnant with my son. I was living with my dad and step-mum at the time. When I phoned my birth mum to tell her the first thing she said was...You're having an abortion. I told her I was not having one as I was keeping my baby. She tried and tried and tried to change my mind and even suggested having him adopted. I stuck to my guns and I had my beautiful baby boy. My mum was my birthing partner and she fell head over heels with him the second he was born. I'm so glad I kept my son as he's now 34 years old and so handsome 😍

    I’m not sure how I feel about this programme
    Yes, it shows the harshness of having babies young but it also normalises it.
    Also, in relation to being against abortion, if I got pregnant at 15, my mum would have given me NO choice in the matter.

    • @boinkadoinkk
      @boinkadoinkk 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Parents do not have the the legal right to force you to have an abortion. Medical professionals need the pregnant person's consent (and most of the time documented permission from the persons parents) for an abortion. Performing an abortion on someone who does not consent to one is literally illegal regardless of age.
      If by "no choice" you mean your mum would kick you out the house if you decide to have the baby, then that's another thing - technically you would still have a choice though. You'd just be dealing with very difficult consequences if you went against your mum's wishes.

    But this young girl is sitting there saying everything‘s just perfect. I have everything that I want? Give me a break as if this is just OK to do to her herself to her parents. I think it’s time some of these episodes start showing the extreme hardships of many of these young women who become pregnant. How lucky most of these women are to be able to stay in their parents home and have their parents help them or be able to help them. all of these young girls are the exception they’re not the rule. If other young girls and young men keep watching these things they’re gonna think getting pregnant fun

      I mean Jasmine (who said everything was perfect with her pregnancy) was clearly having a really horrible time after the baby came. She had a long, painful, very traumatic birth, then had to care for a collicky baby on no sleep whilst suffering from post-partum depression. Yeah she's lucky she has a roof over her head and family there for her but she's absolutely going through significant psychological hardship.

    I got pregnant at 16 having my first born on my 17th birthday! Fell pregnant within the year and gave birth to my 2nd while I was still only 17. As they say, it's very likely for teens to have subsequent births in rapid succession. I'm not sure why that's so true since you'd think we'd learn AFTER the first one! Only thing I can contribute it to is the brain not being developed enough to foreshadow the awful consequences of our behaviors. This is why I find it hard to punish young teens for breaking the law as adults. It's very obvious that the brain of young ones do not see themselves as vulnerable. We are going to live forever lol! ... dummies!

You’ve got to match on through it until the baby is in a routine but then the colic starts then the teething, the then the terrible twos 😂 AND then they become teenagers 😱🙄😂 When I hear of girls getting pregnant to “keep” their man I’ve got to laugh at the stupidity of it. It’s the most difficult, challenging time, hormones, sleep deprivation, feeling isolated etc..You don’t have time for yourself let alone a man FFS! Babies are a godsend however but you’ve gotta be one strong woman (which we all are) to battle through and come out the other side with well turned out, respectful, responsible, loving kids.
