Another fine Burg performance. It's very trippy. It beckons to the listener to embark on a psychedelic journey. So, I think that I'll turn the music up, dim the lights, and close my eyes. Time to go with the flow...
I am awestruck. This track is really up there. I love it. The sounds you create, the groove, the melodies you play - it all fits perfectly. Your music touches and inspires me. Thank you for great tracks!
Amazing! I like this stuff! It's gonna be one of my favourite! with Album Movement 01 or Synthfest KL 2015. Go on man and thank you for your creativity!
I'm loving the Psychedelic vibes! Honestly reminds me of Codex VI by Shpongle. :) This is really inspiring me to finally get "serious" with my mini setup (Volca Sample, FM, and Modular, Arturia Keystep, Minilogue).
Great sounds and a nice jam. I first dipped my toe into the analog pool last week when I picked up a used Volca Keys. I'm now waiting for a Monologue to arrive. Prayers for my neighbours and wallet!
Thanks a lot!! I started with the volca keys a long time back, and it is still one of my favourites :) love that one !! - you neighbours will love your tunes :D
@@BURG Haha, thanks. Yes, the little Volca has me hooked - I love it and can't wait for the Monologue to arrive. I'm aiming for DAWless but want to use the computer for effects until I get a feel for which pedals to buy, can you recommend a free DAW/VSTs to use for adding lushious and crazy reverbs etc? Thanks.
Free DAW, not sure but i think audacity is free, also reaper is pretty cheap (probably the better option). Free VST's are a plenty out there, TAL reverb III is decent, here is a pretty long and complete list - blog.landr.com/best-free-vst-plugins/
@@BURG I downloaded the Cakewalk DAW before I saw your reply and tried a couple of reverbs. "BREVERB 2 Cakewalk" - a preset effect I think - and TAL Reverb 4 are amazing. The first time I dialled a deep, not-quite-raspy, haunting horn sound into the Keys and cranked up BREVERB, I nearly fell out of my chair! Wow. I'll definitely be getting a hardware "spacial(?)" reverb unit at some point. Now... I need to find something to generate discrete random sounds/modulations during the lushiousness. I never thought I'd be exploring pads on the Volca!
Amazing! Seriously good stuff. I am floored that you are using so many different timbres and having everything sit so nicely, not to mention it's just you tamming those beasts, finally to keep me listening for 14 mins without fast forwarding on top of all the above is a feat in and of itself (to be fair, I dig your stuff mostly as it is, but still!). Mind blowing.

Hey man! Love your jams/music! Very similar to the vibe I'm going for as well! Just recently started my channel! :) Could you elaborate on your setup a bit? Specifically how do you have everything clocked/synced? And what Audio Interface do you use to record everything? If you could make a short video talking about your setup and how everything is connected that would be amazing! I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious about that! Cheers and keep the music coming! 🎛❤️🎹

@olilaboratories Burg, i always see you go to your Korg MS20, is it fair to say its one of your favorite synths? (im thinking about getting one myselt).
@@BURG well it is like a improved tr-8s ... because to the drums you get a real sampler and synthesizer with it. all in one package. the machine is so deep you could go deep sea diving in it xD but for me i have now my dream live setup what i was looking for since 1998. mc 707 for synth, drums and percussion with a midi keyboard to play it and an octatrack mk2 + launch control xl for big loops, audio fx and re-sampling. so now i can play all my music live, can improvise and make all what i ever wanted. and no longer the whole car full of cases and equipment. hours of build up and soundchecks. Now easy travell with 2 bags :D
As others said, you´re a master at what you do. Tbh, though, I´d love to see you try something different. You don´t need to change everything, but at least one thing. The biggest thing, I´d recommend is, finding a way to not just stay on the tonic for the whole song! I know, that´s not too easy with sequencers, but that´s the challenge! Sound is awesome, drive is great, atmosphere is perfect... composition, not really existent. It´s always an improvisation with the diatonic notes of the tonic - not too impressive. I really hope that does not sound offensive or something - just some constructive criticism! Keep it up!
the way it sounds is enough, don't need for more. That's how I perceive it. It's very clear genera, no need to expect something different, this is perfect in it's own way.
thanks a lot!! and no problems with the feedback/criticism, we are all different and perceive music in our own ways. For me, the monotonous mood/jamming is the style i wanted to go on this track, it just felt the right thing to do. There are more harmonic variations in some of my other tracks, but they tend to become something different when changed up from the monotonic style, eg less "BURG" so it is a fine balance... :) Thanks for the very constructive feedback, always a pleasure to hear insights, much appreciated !! peace !
this is true 21st century music you are talented Burg keep going we need more like you nice guy too...all the best from the uK
