did you park on the southern part of the park or the northern part of it? i want to go there and dive in to the unknown... place looks good

I guess it's the north lot for this ride. We came in off of Ridge Road and not Weed.

I prefer to enter via the parking lot on weed road. Doing something like the route "Stewart Flow" on trailforks (maybe with the trail escapement added) is a good intro route to the place. Orchard to drake's is a really nice warm up trail combination.

Been wanting to try this place, anymore group rides going any time soon, not from the area so could use a good group to show me around.

How many hard tails do you normally ride with?

Are you asking, how many folks ride hard tail bikes on my rides? If that is the question, normally a few but that is not the norm. The trails around here are really rocky and a hard tail can be tough. The only reasons I see hard tails are for people that just want to check out mountain biking and don't want to spend t0o much cash or folks that like to have multiple bikes. I just built up a hard tail for racing and it's amazing! It's called "Bone Shaker" and I have a video here on the channel if you want to check it out.

I had a minor run in with some equestrine people last year. They seem to think they own the trail. There was horse crap everywhere and when I complained they started getting on my chit saying these were their trails too. I get that but have the last guy/gal in line scoop the poop and take care of it. I don't give a dam if it's bio-degradeable or not chit is chit no matter where it comes from. We shouldn't have to dodge crap (literally) on the trails.... By the way nice ride.I wish I has a group to ride with, it gets lonely riding solo all the time. Where is this?
