I'd argue that developmental potential looks different in gifted individuals, and the gifted experience of overexcitability is different than for typically-developing individuals. Because of their advanced cognitive abilities, gifted children and adolescents often experience early multilevel dynamisms. But OEs and DP are not only for the gifted.
