Would really love to see more such podcasts with someone from a non-IIT background who studied MS in CS from Stanford! It’s so hard to find Indian folks like this. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this one.
what can i do i am from IIT Kgp, non-CSE want to apply for ms in cse in these top universities but have a low cgpa between 7 to 7.5 i am currently in my second year
@MastersWithHarshith like how much cgpa can be considered good considering the fact my branch is non circuital and I don't like the circulam of my branch
Hi Harsh, I have a low cgpa of 7.9 but I have 5 publications to be published, and 1 year of 2 years of RAship, is there any chance getting in? Just a suggestion from you would be great.
It's a hard question but from my personal experience, it depends on how good your publications and RAship experience are. If they're being published in top conferences and you're working on cutting-edge technologies with a professor who's one of the best in their field, you would surely stand a chance.
Do the universities have any specification regarding how old can the LORs be? I've heard that it should not be older than 6 months from the date of application. Is it true?
Hey Harsh, I have a CGPA of 9.19. I have 2 review publications I have a 2 internships, one of which was at Amazon. I joined a startup after that last year and i got promoted to senior dev this year. My gre is 326 and ielts is 7.5. When i see videos of Stanford applications they overwhelm me and i feel that i have done nothing. Should i consider colleges like Stanford while applying?

Really helpful 😊
Glad!

Thank you!
Could you make or recommend any channel where MBA abroad in good universities is discussed?
At present, I'm unaware of any such channel. I'll be hosting a few MBA candidates over the next few episodes, so do keep an eye out.
Thanks a lot
What's the point of MS without a thesis??
I was going to apply to Stanford. Seeing her and her batchmates' profiles , I am now really under confident about myself xd
Don't beat yourself up. You miss every shot you don't take so if you feel confident, go for it

@@aryanshriv6510 The best thing I would recommend to focus on right now is pushing your GPA up and doing quality research

If your publications are at top conferences, I don't see why not
