His chart is in sync with the current US issues. Can US pay its massive debt? Sure, just print more money. Can US control inflation? The answer would be in the gold chart
Long term is the key. Look at a 100 yr chart of the markets. There are set backs that can last months and sometimes years, but over the long run economies continue to grow. Invention, creativity, ambition, and the desire to succeed. Human traits that have served us well!

I remember in the beginning of last year Chris Vermeulen pumping metals hard, saying that "any day now" the end of March 2022 was going to be a huge run for metals & miners predicting GDX at $46 a share.. currently January 11th 2023 and GDX sitting at $31.. Energy is gonna go up for the next 10 years....no capex for fossil fuels...also, interest rates will never be above 3% ever again in this current monetary system. US government can't afford it. Chris. One of the best commentators on the markets. Always clear concise and logical. But ‘long term’ is a relative expression and perhaps should be clarified. Youngsters entering the markets and having 30 or 40 years investing years ahead of them sure, great strategy. However 5 years might be considered long term also and when the market corrects, as it will, 5 years might not be long enough to see the sort of gains the longer ‘long term’ strategies can deliver. Clarification of the Time frame is important.
