- Well another aircraft added to the 1:48 collection and definitely a aircraft well known to a certain generation of air cadets and student pilots . I enjoyed this one although I was surprised by some fit issues with the kit like in the engine bay area where the nose attached . The wing issue where you have to cut the pins off baffles me how Airfix missed that one . One stupid mistake I made was thinking part no.A5 was part of the jig and not the canopy but I can add this later down the line so not major !

I worked on RAF Chipmunk overhauls at Cranwell 1984-5. Brilliant little aircraft. Your model is gorgeous, a really great result. Excellent!
Nice, I would imagine they were fairly straight forward to work on ? Thank you for the kind comment appreciate it !

@@scalemodelling76 I’d just finished a 3 year tour in Germany on front line Jaguar squadrons…..to say that there was a difference in intensity would be an understatement. Once I’d settled into the Chipmunk I really enjoyed it. From nuclear armed supersonic jets to a basic, fabric trainer was a bit of a shock. All great experience
@@kevinbutters5964 I bet sounds like good times

Nice
Lovely end result.
Thank you !
@@scalemodelling76 My third kit since coming back to the hobby. I've done it as one of the RAF Gatow Berlin station flight aircraft that was used for photographic spying by BRIXMIS in the cold war.
@@FinsburyPhil nice, was that a silver paint scheme ?
