I was not supposed to take my Ducati Desert X here!

McCain Valley is an enduro paradise. Located East of San Diego, on the valley between the Tecate Divide and the Jacumba Mountains, on the edge of the Anza Borrego desert.
This is a well known location for enduro, trials and hard enduro practicioners around San Diego. McCain Valley offers a great variety of terrains, from sandy whoops, giant rock faces, tight canyons and hundreds of miles of single track.
This is not the place for a 500lbs plus adventure bike - but I had to try.

Impressed with what the DesertX can handle, but more impressed how you handled a big bike in that terrain. I too am a DesertX owner but would have brought my 350 on that ride😊

I have a Beta 300 RR and go to McCain almost every weekend. I thought it would be a huuuge difference in capability, and I was happilly surprised that at least on the more flowy trails, it's just as easy to ride the DDX compared to my 2T.

Iv tooken myn offroad in gnarly places a few times now..
The biggest issue for me other the wheight 😅 is the steering stabilizer. It does poorly on rocks. I ordered a muller scotts dampner..just patiently waiting
