My heart was absolutely shattered when I heard the news that Michael Hutchence had taken his life. It's still painful to think about 25 years later.
Consumate front man. Up there with Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger. He had charisma.
It's not clear that he actually took his life. His death may well have been an accident, as a result of autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong.
Yes he left us way too soon. Rip Michael Hutchence thanks for giving us your unbelievable talent 🙏

@@highfunctioningsociopath4761 I implore you to watch the recent documentary Mystify, it's very clear that he committed suicide. I know this is incredibly sad and tragic but that rumor was spread by journalist's in the immediate aftermath to sell newspapers because they had no information other than the fact that he was naked and a rock star, they made it up and his "widow" couldn't cope with the thought of him "abandoning" her and their child so she chose to believe it was auto asphyxiation even though the truth was he was planning on leaving her and was having casual relationships with two women. Of course, it wasn't abandonment it was a choice made in a very disturbed and confused state exacerbated by depression caused by brain injury. There are in-depth interviews with family friends and the coroner. It's disrespectful and insensitive to continue spreading this about him when there is a wealth of evidence such as voicemail messages, he had a heated argument with his partners ex husband (who you probably know was Bob Geldof) about his unwillingness to allow Paula to bring her children who she shared custody with to Australia this obviously and most importantly included Michael and Paula's child, who he was desperate to see and Paula's decision to stay in London with the children was devastating to him, he wasn't looking forward to doing the Australian tour and felt isolated and lonely (according to friends and family) As the coroner and Rhett Hutchence (Michael's brother) put it, a person who has just had an angry exchange, a heated argument does not then feel horny and want to pleasure themselves, the coroner also said it's not uncommon to find people naked in suicides, your words affect a lot of people, enough time has passed enough information is out there there's no mystery and you do a disservice to him and his legacy by choosing to spread a falsehood.
In a world of CoVid, lockdowns and misery it does your heart good to look into the eyes of the Empress and heal your soul with her beautiful smile.

I didn’t know he was Aussie. Men are just built different down there aren’t they? What is in the water? haven’t seen one Aussie man that isn’t stunning.
I remember when this video first premiered way back in the day on Mtv. There was so much great music back in the day. Unfortunately we will never truly get to experience an era like this ever again, but thanks to TH-cam, we can take that trip back down memory lane every once in a while. 🤗
True that. I also noticed that it looks like they fixed the timing of the Mediate section. I remember as a kid watching it, how the cards in their hands would sometimes fall behind or get ahead, but now you can see they slow down the video in certain parts so it doesn't happen now.
"Need You Tonight" is the song that had me purchasing their stuff. Sheer hotness set to music. Michael Hutchence was one hell of a frontman! RIP, man. I miss these dudes. Cool reaction, yo.

I first heard INXS when they supported Queen at Wembley Stadium in 1986. Brilliant live band.
Thank you so much for doing this! This song and video are from 87..hard to believe. Their music is timeless. They were huge straight through from the early 80s to early 90s. A good 10 year run of mega star status and lots of hits. The charisma, vocal ability and pure talent of Michael Hutchence got them the kick in the pants they needed for superstardom, but all the members are talented and this band were tight as can be musically. During the early 90s they were regarded as one of the best live bands in the world. You will understand what I mean if you check out What You Need and/or Suicide Blonde, live from Wembley Stadium in 1991. You should also listen to their most famous ballad, a beautiful song called Never Tear Us Apart, (official video). Unfortunately, as some others have mentioned, Michael took his own life in 1997. For every INXS fan, it's a blow we aren't going to get over. Tremendous loss of not only an incredible artist, but a very gentle and kind soul as well.

I remember I saw them in concert back in the early 80s when they were just started to get big. And believe it or not they opened up for the Go Gos. They definitely stole the show 🤔

Also “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell- Please react to it! And it another one- type in “Tainted Love/where did our love go.” I can’t bare to even listen when they leave out “where did our love go.”👍👍👍❤️. This is a song from my childhood. It was special. You may like "Devil Inside" by the same band.
That's was the INXS JAM in the late 1980s! We used to JAM to this song in the clubs! SO sad, that lead singer Michael Hutchence battled depression and aggression after a bicycle accident in the early 1990s and hung himself in 1997. Gone way too soon. The spirit of Michael's lively and soulful vocals still live on! Rest in Heaven! And the song's finish....classic! It was #1 on the Hot-100 and Dance Charts too! 😊👏🏾🎤🎶🎸🥁🎹💯

love the card flipping then turning around and going home before the end of the song....lol. the short sax solo is a nice finishing touch.
The card flipping was paying homage to Bob Dylan & the film clip was filmed illegally@ the BHP steelworks @ Port Kembla (my old stomping ground) many Aussies would recognise the old brambles trucks in the background. They had to jump the fence, get it done quick & then get the F out before being busted.
