I don’t think this was a loss for Branded players. TCG players were way too reliant on puppet lock, often times to their own detriment. They were so tunneled on just getting out puppet that often times they would lose to one interaction. Just look at MD where Branded was a top tier strategy for the longest time and most of the time puppet wasn’t even played when it was legal.

Honestly, i prefer playing Branded without Puppet. I feel like the deck becomes a lot more interesting when I'm not having to think about how to set up a puppet lock and can instead set up an actually interesting board

You guys from the TCG need to learn how to play Branded as it is intended, instead of just locking people from the game. Iblee also need to be banned.

@@MasterWinfu No. The deck is dead with Fusion at one. Not being able to open the card consistently makes it so weak to interruption that it has absolutely NO hope at competing against the newer decks what so ever. Especially since every other deck has such small engine counts compared to Branded that it can just dump a bunch of hand traps in that eat Branded alive. It is why the deck has pretty much NO tops since Fusion got hit in any event. It is over.

I just feel everytime I get a deck no I need to get a new one. I don’t play yuigoh all the time but I feel like there is too many meta besides brand and snakes eyes that need to be balanced as well. And it’s very expensive too

Branded has already been dead since Fusion went to 1. Them keeping it at one still means it isn't coming back again until it is so powercrept that it wouldn't even matter.

Branded is completely fine and still viable. The ftk is still doable meaning gold sarc, nadir servant, branded fusion and aluber are all one card ftks. And branded opening a 1.5 card ftk.
Now that Branded is no longer viable, and with my deck at max rarity, I think it’s time for me to close this Yu-Gi-Oh project. It was a fun journey while it lasted, but I’ve decided it’s not worth investing more money and time into other decks. That said, I might come back if the story continues in terms of lore, as that’s always been a fascinating aspect for me.
Honestly if Branded Players wanna lock people out so bad just run a hybrid with Destruction Sword or even a small package if your desperate. Chaos Allure Queen is union carrier without taking up an extra deck slot or having the same type requirement, instead having a light or dark requirement instead for its equip from gy.
Branded copium is real and honestly the Gimmick Puppet ban is too little too late to really matter. In the meta anyway as there are many outs to it. Thankfully Snake Eyes cards are finally being hit in the TCG, to bad it wasn't Wanted they hit lol.

That doesn't mean snake eyes are dead you should never have a one card starter in any of the game should never never had that originally one card started a bet you should always have two or three card combos to do anything in this game also fire King straight up as a structure deck now is going to be awesome
This banlist was literally Konami putting a gun to our head and telling us you either play Ryzeal/Maliss or you lose. I dont see any decks that couldnt compete with Snake Eye variants, Yubel, or Tenpai being able to hold a candle to Ryzeal/Maliss
Next the should lower the entry cost of getting access to the new decks they want us all playing, because I've just lost 2 decks of mine because of this banlist and aint no way it pushed me to buy into the new stuff it just if anything pushed me into buying less because be careful it might get banned. To much cost for these things.
An opportunity was missed by Konami, imagine if they unbanned electrimite and had triff reading it off. Cmon imagine

the problem with all of those is that they can easily be revomed. and if u consider what u have to do in order to bring it on the field and all they have to do is get rid of one card to do their one card combo thats gonna win the duel for them its not rlly a problem to most decks at all
For me its just a case of why, I Branded is pretty much dead already competitively, and most decks now thanks to powercreep loving konami can easily play around Gimmick Puppet Lock. Heck I did it to a guy at my locals with Destruction Sword of all things, played around Gimmick puppet and locked him out of his extra deck and monster effects on field, and thats a 2016 archetype. Konami just wants money and hates people for still playing Branded lol, I anticipated the Tenpai hit though, OTK decks with Towers never stay meta for long. Cause again Konami likes money. More suprised they didn't go for Trident Dragon or Paidra though.

How do people feel about Ritual Beasts going into this format?
With players siding sanctum/Lancea to deal with Maliss, it cooks ritual beast as well, which already played badly into the mulcharmies.

Branded is not necessarily dead. If anything we can actually change the decklist for the better, making the deck actually more intreractive rather than focusing on the lock.

I didnt understand why Konami didnt ban Sanctifire. They banned Expulsion so fast but wait like years for banning Sanctifire which does nearly the same
Cause one is a common print trap card well the other is a secret rare fusion monster. Easier to hit the common print card so people spend more money trying to pull Sanctifire.

@@litigation-q5uI agree, I think SeFk is still strong. One for One still bridges, SnAsh can still add Ponix, Oak can still revive it, and all of them are still fire bodies. I think if anything, remove the Sinful Spoils/Azamina stuff. It doesn’t work with SeFk anymore, so take out those like 9 cards and replace it
@@KingDae19 with what can you replace it? Snake Eyes package, one Diabelstarr, one wanted, one deception and the azamina spell to have access to Murcielago/Silva seem still the best option to me, but I may be completely wrong.

Imo Kash should be untouched fs should have been hit more. Granted I am biased since I play pure kash so losing an entire deck because of its engine is really stupid to me. Again biased pick but I would love to still have my deck playable.
Kashtira Fiendsmith is not TCG creativity, its TCG banlist difference.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Kash cards are some of the most fair meta cards we have right now. Especially after this YCS. The only decks that had a small engine in it now were Maliss decks. And when you compare it to fiedsmith and ryzeal, it really isn’t that big a deal. If you were to hit the kash engine, it wouldn’t be Fenrir either. What makes the engine viable in other decks and meta relevant is unicorn and birth.
Yeah Memento IS Not hittet again, which i really Like. I never think that konami would Hit IT. ITS fun and really strong. If i can Play i win. If i can Not Play i can also maybe win. And going second isnt that Bad with some cards.

By the way, those who constantly cry about kashtira are literally delusional. They are way too comfortable believing their extra/main deck should be untouched territory. "oh wow i banished your 1 copy of X card, now you can't play". Grow up. I havent seen anyone complain about runick that basically does the same. Fenrir is now literally both in terms of strength and number ratio the same as pankratops. A going second card. If anything, arise-heart should comeback at 1 at some point. The card is literally dark law and heroes STILL have that card at 3 and in EVERY end board. Ultimately, we need more unbans, not bans.

What? People have been complaining about Runick even more than Kash cards. Fountain is STUPID. Also, Heroes don't have the broken support cards that Kash does as an engine, and Ariseheart combos with their banished cards, unlike Heroes and Dark Law. They are also better designed at breaking boards and destroying the opponent. A giant Macro Cosmos on legs that is also a better Drident is not healthy for the game.

Overall Arise to 1 and Shangri-ira to 1 seems fair, but im fine with or without. Meanwhile I wish Azamina/Fiendsmith would die in a hole already despite being fresh to the table
@@francisharkins Nobody plays that bad garbage, you do realize, yes? Stop comparing a bad deck like Heroes to a good deck like Kashtira. They are not even in the same ballpark. Heroes wishes it had a card as good as ANY one of the Kash cards. Birth and Theosis are stupid. So is Wraithsoth. So is Fenrir and Unicorn and Riseheart. People seem to forget how obnoxious and powerful that deck was it seems. Kashtira cards are still so powerful that the engine sees many tops even now.
@@konstantinoskoutlas7608 Ariseheart is dark law while have the best removal in the entire game on top of protection effects. Dark law is good but it actually shows its age compared to Ariseheart
