    Chuck.. As a Serb, it saddens me that we aren't a very unified people.. Let me explain. If you were doing this for most other nations, their governments would employ you in a heartbeat to promote them. I wish we can do the same, and I think someone needs to set up a petition for you to be employed by the Ministry of Tourism. What you're doing for us is INCREDIBLE, THANK YOU!! Greetings from a Serb in Canada!

      I have relatives in Bjelovar and i have good memories of beautiful Split,Trogir and Dubrovnik. The country wasn't demonized for almos 15 years in the worst way and committed aggression against an old allie from both world wars.
      In WW2 Serbia saved about 500 pilotes about l in one City the Germans executed about 7500 school Children, students and teachers because 8 Germans were killed so if they would have found 2-3 of them many would have been killed.
      In. 99 during the NATO aggression some pilots were on tv telling their story.
      They said it was very poor but if they hade only one egg in the house they gave it to the pilots not their children or if there was one bed the pilots got it . After the war the Serbian general was killed by communists but got a medal from the US president but it was secret and classified for a long time.
      There is a book" The forgotten 500" but it's good to see that people from the west can see the real truth and they r most welcome.

    Excellent post Charles!
    Whenever I get over my recent afraidness of flying I will get to Serbia, this year or the next! I've got PTSD (and a few other disorders) and went through a bad moment flying to British Columbia last summer. Enough that I cancelled my trip to BC this summer. I'm always support Serbia and the Serbski Republic especially as those are the folks I met in my two Bosnian tours. They were the only side we could trust, even when they took 55 of us hostage from our OPs on the Serbian side of the Visoko area. We were the only country to have OP's on the Serbian side (x4). We all got out safely.
    I hope I get over my new fear of flying soon and head over the pond to an European Vacation!
    Thanks Charles!

      The month after I was in a nearby OP while a friend was also escorting an aid convoy to the same village. They were held up at the Muslim, BiH, check point for so long a decision was made to return to base and try afterwards. Muslims not helping Muslims?

To be honest, my boss is making us coffee every morning at 7am and 11am. We leave dirty cups and go do our work, and he washes them. He buys us breakfast and lunch. He doesn't pay us much but we work well together now. It took some years to change things. Everything is relative and changeable. Anyway, great job on the video. I am not sure why you are fighting a battle to restore the image of a country most Americans haven't thought about since the 1990s. Frankly, I haven't heard anyone here say anything, good or bad, about Serbia in the last decade. You forget how inwardly focused most Americans are. You can't even get them to acknowledge things happening in Canada. For those sophisticated enough to find Serbia on the map, the majority are capable of separating the nationalist war criminals from ordinary citizens that had nothing to do with the atrocities. Although the wounds are still healing for those directly impacted by the events, the rest of the world moved on a long time ago.

    This morning there was an advisory on the Serbian U.S. Embassy website about apparently the THIRD incidence of a bomb threat at a place called Delta City Mall in New Belgrade. So let’s keep it real: it’s not ALL hunky-dorey. Your thoughts on this?

    Charlie dear, nice video. Again, that said, you got the wrong title there. There's no need to put "evil" "American" and "Serbia" in the same sentence (that's the job of world's mainstream media that include subliminal messages to form public opinion to their liking). People are people everywhere in the world, and if anyone refers to USA as "evil", that would be the US government (huge difference!), as in having evil and devious intentions that serve the interest of USA at a most detrimental expense of the country at stake. And that too would depend on the US administration. Not all of them have been downright warmongers. So I'm taking the liberty to change the title to: Another fellow American who likes it in Serbia.

    • @Islam4ever2006
      @Islam4ever2006 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think learning Serbian I'd a big deal for me. I was born and raised in NY and my ear is used to many languages. I speak Spanish and some Arabic as well. Although I tried Swedish, I can't continue with it. For some reason I don't like it. I do like Russian and Serbian. Some words I could under stand them and that's why it doesn't seem a far to reach task. I started to look up c art ions and others videos in Serbian. Insha'Allah I just need to devote time to learning. I just don't want to end up with wasted time if I'm not going to use it in real life. I do like the idea of moving to Serbia but my husband sees it differently because of what happened in Kosovo. He's worried it would happen again. As for myself, I can look over the past and move on if the present and future is workable.

      +Humble Muslima Serbs don't hate Muslims, there are many muslims that live in Serbia. Kosovo was a war against KLA Albanian nationalist guerrillas/Serbophobes, not Muslims. What makes you want to move there?

    Hey he said that soil is perfect for vegtables but he is so wrong no more wrong he could be... im Montenegrin but i consider myself Serbian... the soil is horrible for fruit and vegtables because the USA bombed serbia so much with Depleted uranium and cluster bombs so the soil was even radiated a little so that's wrong.

    Serbia has good people. About kidnappings is true, but this is most for those who are Serbians and the most known fighters, could be business people. I mean kidnapping happened to me and it happens suddenly when you the least expect. Serbs will always support you if you have something that you need from their heart, but they can also bring you problems that you won't find a way out of it, they are able to come after you around the world and damage everything you have. To really understand Serbia, you have to eat more bread with them for many years and then take their citizenship and later when you decide to leave and live in USA, they will do everything to damage every single success you have, if you would want to give up citizenship. This is something no one knows, even myself. It's about, we won't let him go, because we want him to represent Serbia as the best inventor in the world and for no award, but USA gives their citizens 80 G$ for smaller inventor. This is why USA is the greatest country, you have also to give and not always receive when you have, at this point the country. You have to raise funds for new Software Company. One day you will understand me and all the countries did, I was too late to get it. We still respect Serbians, the most I feel bad for Kristijan Golubovic, because police have done lots of bad to him, believe to force him into spying...
