After my husband died in 2005 I lived for a year watching Frasier every evening. I would come from work, eat my dinner ans sit in front of Frasier until I fell asleep on the sofa. I would go through about 6 episodes every night, rewatching series after series and starting from the beginning again. I was heartbroken and couldn’t get myself better and just wanted to survive for the time being because I knew that I’ll get better, just didn’t know when. It took me 4 years to heal completely and Frasier carried me through those years. Thank you to all creators of the series, you will always be very important to me. I’ll be watching the new series.
Same here. My mother died and it was Frasier and Mel Brooks that helped me get through it.
Sorta the same here, after my divorce and to this day. I watch Fraiser on Hulu. Something about it is comforting.
Frasier also got me through the darkest point of my life and I look back on that time and remember what the show did for me.
I have a similar history with the show, connected to a dear, departed friend. However, the reboot is a travesty.
Me too. My husband passed away 5 years ago and we used to watch it together. We have had MUTIPLE re runs here in Australia but the writing and acting is so amazing you can’t help but enjoy it all over again. I couldn’t bring myself to watch after my husbands death but now I get great comfort watching it. Not sure how to get the new show on paid tv here. 🦘
Seinfeld and Friends were great, but Frasier was (and still is!) the GOAT. To have this show return after two decades is a gift from the TV Gods.
Cant wait!
But is *that* show returning? This just feels like Kelsey Grammer in a completely different sitcom.
@@4seeableTV no, not THAT show but a frasier nevertheless. The humor seems pretty good in the trailer imo
I hope you’re right…
Seinfeld was not great. Seinfeld is and was absolutely putrid unfunny garbage.
Frasier is and always be my comfort series so happy to see a revival
I'll go you one better: Frasier is my tv heaven.
@@danjonmills good for you it's a awesome show its like chatting with old friends love Frasier
They've got a very tired old cash cow back on its feet... Never be the same again. Even in the old series , the highly implausible relationship between Milksop Niles and Daphne nearly poisoned it for me. The innocence is lost. Grammer should just be content to pick up the royalty cheques like the rest of the cast (RIP. J.Mahoney).
Grammer must be skint.....or suffering from limelight withdrawal sickness. They all need their heads looking....cue a shrink...
It’s off to a promising start let’s just say that.
I don’t know if Kelsey Grammer ever read this but I need to write this to thank him. The whole frasier series helped me in a very difficult period of my life. I don’t want to write it to become cheesy or sentimental just a big THANK YOU because when you have darkness in your life you want a little light and some laugh. I thank the whole cast of frasier for that. And if someone who read this now have depression, lost someone or is in any bad situation don’t loose hope!!! Life magically transform to something new. You will not return to your previous life but with a little hope, big fight and stubbornness something new will happen. I wish you all the best and look for that light!!!! ❤❤❤
The Crane boys always give comfort.
small world me too
GOD BLESS YOU🤗
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Bless you! Hope you are now walking in sunshine and relief and happiness.
@@Snapepet once you see darkness it’s difficult to ignore it again but now I’m not afraid of it and I dare it to challenge me. I’m more powerful than before and for that it can not touch me again. I am better than before because now I choose the light. Thank u for the consideration!!! 😊
Same ❤
I crave the intellectual banter Niles & Frasier had. I Hope it’s present in the show! It’s a dynamic of Fraiser I’ve always liked about the character. Not arrogant but honest.
Might be kind of hard, since David Hyde Pierce won't be returning, unfortunately.
I can see him doing a guest star maybe once. But yeah. No Niles.
I agree! That takes intellectual talent to write that. Were lucky if TV shows are just funny nowadays.
I saw a taping of the series in February and the intellectual banter between Frasier and Alan is hilarious, also.
The original show's name might just as well have been Frasier and Niles. Eventually Niles became my favourite and I'm sure I'll miss David Hyde Pierce, I still look forward to the new episodes anyway.
I feel so silly. I'm getting all choked up.
I used to watch Frasier as a teen with my parents. We sat together, laughed, cried, hugged, sang the theme song together. Happy days, timeless memories...
Ditto - a really happy place ❤
Timeless indeed, but not nearly as timeless as Frasier's Yum-Yum.
i did same thing also with Friends , Seinfeld & Will & Grace.. ahhhh good ole days & youth was.. GREAT shows , sitcoms, & movies from 80s & 90s ...f*n PURE trash TVS these days
I used to watch it in bed with my girlfiend at 17yo when we woke up on Saturday mornings (UK). We'd laugh our heads off and it's a great memory.
I'm a little concerned, though, tbh. Grammar has proved himself something of an arse over the years. And he's the only returning cast member. I hope it's good, though. I hope Kelsey got some good writers in. I hope I love it. Lyndhurst is a outfield choice which may work, because he's a really good comedic actor, for sure. I've certainly more hope for this than I have for Cleese trying to revive Fawlty Towers.
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see Bebe Neuwirth at the table read, so I know that her brilliance as Lilith will shine again in some episodes.
Apparently there wasn't another revival of Chicago to keep her away😂.
@@ifyouonlyknew811 hahaha, I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see this iconoclastic sarcasm.
Lilith is awesome.
Does anyone know how Nile’s has been handled?
And who’s the second son?
Frasier was my happy comedic companion throughout my cancer journey. He has been my whimsical entertainment throughout
bipolar. He has been my inspiration throughout ptsd and shall continue to be my virtual sidekick throughout my life’s journey.
Thank You
Thank you
Blessings to you 🙏🏾
I have BPD and Frasier/Kelsey's genuine persona really comforts me too
*hug*
I hope you're seeing better days right now. I am using Frasier to soothe myself and it's been helping me too.
41 years old, grew up with this show, still stream it constantly. It’s like a cozy blanket. Kelsey Grammer is a national treasure. Toss salads and scrambled eggs all over my face. What is a boy to do?
Honestly as an Englishman I'm just thrilled that America can now witness Nicholas Lyndhurst (sp) in all his natural glory. He's a legendary comedian here in England as Rodney from Only Fools And Horses probably the greatest English Sitcom of all time. He also reminds me of Alan Ruck.
He really is sitcom royalty. I hope to see chemistry between him and Kelsey Grammer akin to that which he had with David Jason. Lyndhurst deserves some happiness after the tragic loss of his son a few years ago. I was surprised to hear English accents of two of the other actors who are playing Americans. It makes sense really, as the adult Freddy is supposed to take after Martin Crane, played by John Mahoney who was actually from Manchester, England.
His best role was as Piglet in The Piglet Files.
It’s good to see Dave again.
He is absolutely hilarious in this!
Three British actors for a series set in Boston seems a bit too much.
Who else has been waiting decades for this?!
Yes yes, yes!
Here’s to another 10+ years of Frasier! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
6:59, Jimmy Burrows is so right: this is a MASSIVE TRIBUTE to Kelsey Grammer! How many people could do this? Also, I'm not giving up hope on David Hyde Pierce guest starring.
As long as Niles’ son is there, there’s hope.
He did say he was open to an episode or two if the story is good.
I'm hoping for cameos from all surviving members of both Cheers and Frasier. With him being back in Boston, it's possible. I believe we will see both Roz and Lilith in the occasional episode, so there's hope for the rest of the Frasier cast, other than those that have passed of course. If the show is successful I'm sure we will see many of the old faces from time to time, fingers crossed. Unlikely in the first season though I would think.
@@garyl5128Peri Gilpin(Roz) and Bebe Neuwrith(Lillith) have indeed signed on for some episodes, and while he declined to be on the show, David Hyde-Pierce said he was open to guest posts in the future if the story fits NIles in.
@@whenisasnakeatail4933It's a good chance. It won't be hard to fit Niles into a story since his son is a part of this show.
Just finished the first couple of episodes and I love it. Really does a great job of picking up 20 years later. I know David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves didn't want to come back, but I hope they see how well done it is and come back for season 2.
I didn’t know they didn’t want to come back. Thanks for mentioning that, helps explain this new direction.
Next year will be 40 years of Dr. Frasier Crane, and he’s been listening after all these years!!!!
I LOVE how Frasier moving in with his son mirrors the original first episode with him and Martin!
Yeah, but then they turned the Jewish national spelling bee champ into a firefighter...nah, can't see it. It would have been funnier (and way more believable) if Niles's son were the blue collar boy...
@@lenawagenfuehr53EXACTLY. There is NO WAY the son of neurotic snobs like Lilith and Frasier could possibly turn out to be a blue collar everyman.
@@lenawagenfuehr53 There may be a reason for that....we shall have to wait and see. The amount of times I have seen Doctors, Lawyers, powerful business people, etc just one day quit and do something out in the open like gardening, travelling, etc would surprise a lot. People sometimes just change.
@@omegamanGXE but remember who his grandfather was. Also, perhaps we will find out why this has happened as the episodes move along.
Thought Nicholas Lyndhurst would deserve a little more promo. A UK legend. Our ‘Niles’, as it were.
They had me at Nicholas Lyndhurst. Only Fools and Horses, Butterflies, Goodnight Sweetheart to name a few. I hope this show is a hit and Nyles needs to have a guest appearance at some point, he killed it in the former show.
I no right, I didn't not expect to see him again, glad he's still doing work
OMG - that old man was one of the KIDS on Butterflies? But but but.... he's OLD!
I Know him from "The Piglet Files" too
@@WhaSup70x7 omg forgot about piglet files!!!
If anyone outside the UK is unaware of who Nicholas Lyndhurst is, he's known mostly for sitcoms, one series, only fools and horses, is highly recommended viewing, easily the best sitcom the UK ever produced, but he's also a top actor that can 'turn his hand' to anything, theatre included.
First thing I thought seeing the trailer. Rodders!!!
I don't agree it was the best. But certainly the most popular.
Funny, I thought his name was Dave.
Also for Goodnight Sweetheart & Butterflies.
I was so annoyed they went through a whole behind the scenes feature and didn't think to inform american audience's about how big Nicholas Lyndhurst is here in the uk and why it's so big to have him in a show like this, I don't think he'll be as good as Niles, Niles was so good because of how he delivered his comebacks and the way he moved in a way only someone youthful can pull off but Nicholas will still be great.
Frasier itself (the show) was actually about Niles. Niles undergoes a transformative character arc in that show, whereas Frasier stays mostly the same throughout. It’ll be interesting to see where they go from here, since Grammer literally described Frasier as “the same” here.
I so disagree with this. Although the series would definitely not be the huge thing it was without Niles, I feel all of the characters balanced so well in importance and meaning. I miss Eddie and of course Martin 💝
Frasier has been by far my favourite sitcom ever, the humor is smart and nuanced. I have only heard good things about the revival and I can't wait. Glad to see a proper studio audience too and not canned laughter.....it makes a whole world of difference
Smart and nuanced, with a peppering of slapstick. Just the right balance.
This is “smart and nuanced”? That nephew character is the direct opposite and none of the other characters are nearly as endearing as those from the original cast at the same point in the series. It was painful to watch
It's such a nice chill out show. Poor kelsey grammar has had a rough time. I'm glad the world can show him some love back yet again
I'm so happy for this reboot! I didn't realize so many people loved Frasier as much as I did. I can't wait ! ❤
I wish they would bring back Niles
Why don’t they?
Nothing compares to the original Frasier family, holding my breath for this new series & praying for its greatness.
Please be good, please be good, please be good! No Niles hurts my soul but please still be good.
Frasier was incredible
Every night before sleep, my wife and I unwind with an episode of "Frasier"-a ritual we've cherished for nearly 8 years. Though we're not typically glued to the TV, this show has seamlessly woven itself into our daily lives. From Eddie's antics to Niles's quirks, each character resonates with us in a profound and personal way. In fact, the series even inspired me to return to college and delve into literature studies. A heartfelt thanks to Kelsey and the entire crew for passionately bringing these characters to life; you've touched the hearts and lives of countless fans, guiding them through various life moments. Eagerly awaiting episode 1 tomorrow! 🤓
This is one of those shows to which I owe a debt of gratitude. I showed it to my family, my wife, daughters and father in law all discovered it for the first time through my reruns on Netflix. It became our weekly ritual to watch a double bill. It got to the point where I started to wonder why it seemed quite so important to everyone? In the end I had to ask, and they told me, “It’s so you.” The tone is what they meant. But, it was a bonding thing for us. And of course, it really is just so funny. So I can so appreciate the irony that bonding with family is the theme of the new show.
I’m normally not in favor of classic shows returning, but I feel like this one has potential because Frasier is such an endearing character, and it seems like the people involved behind the scenes will stay true to the character. This could be the hit that Paramount+ needs.
Oh god, I'm nervous about this one, I LOVE Frasier and don't want to see it go wrong.
I feel exactly the same.
If it’s gone woke, I’ll be furious
I'm not so sure about no Niles, Daphne and Roz, they were the comedy, Frasier is the straight man.@@Happyheretic2308
@@Happyheretic2308Whatever definition of 'woke' you have, presumably that is the way the world is going, and sitcoms try to reflect some of the reality of the time they are set in, because then it is easier to believe the characters and become immersed in the story.
Frasier in 2023, with 1950s values (racism, misogyny, and historical views of LGBTQIA+ science, and general white male supremacy with lack of basic human respect and inclusion of others), would make no sense. It would not resonate with the majority of people today, because we no longer live in that time of, now considered, archiac thinking.
Also, I don't understand why equality is so enraging to you. 🤔 Maybe I am not understanding your definition of 'woke'.
I bought the series on DVD and have watched it so many times and it never gets old!!!
Frasier is one of my favorite sitcoms ever. I'm hoping this one will live up to the original. I'm also hoping to see appearances by characters from the original, such as Niles , Daphne, Bulldog and others.
Really looking forward to seeing Frasier again. And so hoping it gets a physical media release as well.
Agreed, I have started buying the antiques again (physical media) and it's a good idea: they can't remove them from your "library" as easily.
@@amandahuginkiss6868
I never stopped buying physical, because of that fact alone. With digital, it can always be taken away at a moment’s notice. The worst, though, is when they take away episodes deemed as “offensive” by today’s dumb standards.
(*cough* COMMUNITY *cough*)
With Paramount's track record, I'm sure we'll get a physical release a few months after the season ends.
Frasier has always been my comfort show and I’m very excited for this. It’ll be hard to lose the original cast but many people probably felt the same when Frasier originally aired and no one else from Cheers was returning. We gotta give this new cast a chance just like we gave the old cast.
I loved Frasier, so I’m really glad it’s coming back!
I absolutely adore “Frasier” AND Kelsey Grammer! This is the very best gift to all of his fans that we could dare hope to receive!!
Thank you all!!
Much love.
Absolutely loved Cheers. The episode when Lileth and Frasier compete for Freddy to say Mom or Dad first still has me laughing when I think of it.
I completely lost it when in the end it was "NORM!"
@@mycah808 And then everyone in the bar tries to convince Lilith that it was actually "mom."
I am looking forward to this. Frasier has a special place in my heart and life. I've rewatched the entire series so many times ❤.
I really hope this lands. I watch this show every day. Have been since I was 10. The wit, the physical comedy matched with insane scripts. This show is my entire childhood, adulthood and beyond.
We’ve got the entire seasons of Frazier and love to watch it over and over. We will be watching it and hopefully it will be as good as the original.
I am so looking forward to this. There was no other show that touched me as strongly as Frasier.
I don't are what anyone says. I will still watch every single episode. I've been missing this show badly since it was off the air and I spent my childhood and adolescence following around Frasier's journey through life. It's only fitting that now in my adulthood I follow a new chapter in his life and see where it takes him.
I love Frasier! I have watched the show every day for the last 10 years 😂🎉❤
we like Frazier especially for the intellectual banter between he and Niles, I'm worried there are too many common, hip, whatever characters in this. Hope it works, I love Kelsey so much.
Some of them do reek of going for "hip" and up to date
Hoping we’ll get intellectual banter between Kelsey and Linhurst, only problem there is I can’t see him being around Frasier as much as Niles was
I think it's good to have some younger-thinking "hipsters." Helps the show appeal to all ages. Young adults today weren't watching Frazier back then & might not connect if it's kept for just the older crowd?
@@kathiekluth-mv4hm I watched frasier as a kid
Right. It’s the intellectual banter that made the show so incredibly enjoyable. It was so unapologetically over the heads of main stream audiences. That’s where the magic was. I’m really trusting that they’ve kept this most sacred element of the show.
I love Fraiser, i still watch the fraiser from 1993 to 2004 seen every episode at least 3 times. I'm so excited for the new Fraiser series 😍 it would be cool if Niles and Daphne could just drop in and Roz too.
That would be perfect for one episode.
I'm sure they will. It would be a grave oversight, otherwise.
It's confirmed that Peri Gilpin (Roz Doyle) WILL be making a guest appearance!
So happy to see this show back plus the addition of the great Nicolas Lyndhurst who was also from my favourite TV show of all time (only fools and horse) this is the perfect mesh of actors can't wait to watch!
Frasier has been my fav sitcom ever, outside of I Love Lucy. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us now.
Pleaaaaaaaaaase be as smart as it used to be.
What I would give for a part on this show, even just a one-liner. I have adored Frasier ever since it first came out, and I am really looking forward to this comeback!
Jim Burrows is 82 years old. Good Christ he looks good for his age.
Amen to that
That theme song is So relaxing and Jazz themed! I appreciate it more today than in the early days. Kevin Frazier has me excited now for the New iteration of Frasier Crane's Life in Boston, the 2nd go around. 🥰❤
The timing of this is absolutely perfect. Believe or not, I never got around to watching Cheers and Frasier back in the day (I was only 8 when Cheers launched, so obviously not in the target audiences' age range). Anyway, I started binge watching Cheers at the end of last year and have only finished Frasier in the last couple of months. Absolutely love both series and am hugely looking forward to seeing more. So sad that Kirstie Alley has left us. Now the opportunity to have the one Cheers member who didn't cameo on Frasier can never happen.
It's really extraordinary that we could follow a character's life for so many years over 3 shows.
I was not originally enamored with the idea of a reboot. I'm a huge fan of Kelsey Grammer professionally and personally and, because of that, Frasier and Cheers. My favorite aspect of Frasier was Martin Crane and the grounding in reality he gave the show, so I couldn't imagine a new Frasier without him or his iconic chair. He was the heartbeat of the show. When numerous stars of the old show opted out, I saw this as another troublesome omen. However, seeing how they're recapturing the essence of the original show yet somehow reinventing it makes me hopeful that in another six months, a few of the original cast might be tapping on his door.
There are also signals from this and previews that Grammer is aware of the state of our collective psyche these days and can help mend that. It's only a TV show, but if TV shows reflect us, they also renew us, and I am hopeful that Kelsey Grammer becomes a male Betty White, helping to unite us in laughter for another 30 years.
This show has brought so much joy and Laughter to my Life. Kelsey Grammer is my favorite actor of all time. I truly hope to get to see some of the old cast members show up on the new Frasier episodes. Thanks for the laughs.
I just finished a complete re-binge days before the trailer dropped. It's a sign.
I hope Roz is still in the series.. Love her voice.. Love the show, excellent first episode! Thank You!
I never watched it much on it's original run, now I've been watching it constantly for the last 20 years. It's been on TV in the UK for that long showing how popular it is
Kelsey Grammer is back!! Frasier, we love you. Welcome back ❤❤❤❤❤
So good to see Nicholas Lyndhurst back on our screens! Now he's starred in 2 of the greatest sitcoms of all time...Frasier and Only Fools and Horses. For anyone stateside who has not seen the latter, you MUST check it out!!!
GREAT !!!!!! Can't wait to see the older version now that I 'm older, too. Thanks for bringing him back to us all. BRAVO !
Just watched the first two episodes. Absolutely brilliant. Nicolas Lyndhurst a great addition
Freddie and David are hilarious. Allan always gets me laughing really loud. Cannot wait for season two.
I've seen the first 2 episodes. Starts out a tiny bit awkward, but as it develops the sharp dialog really wins you over. Love the actor playing Nile's son! And the air hockey-dinner table scene is so funny!
Awkward? That was my biggest fear. I’ve seen the original show all the way through multiple times, and was hoping for the best
I thought the original Frasier season 1 episodes 1 and 2 were also a bit "awkward" at times, the first time I watched them. You don't know all the characters, you don't know how it's all going to pan out, the writers have to fit in a lot of background info to create a believable connection to the preceding series, and the net result is some stiffness or awkwardness at times. Of course, it's different re-watching those first couple of episodes after watching the entire 11 seasons multiple times because you now know all there is to know, from minute 1. I think it will be similar in Frasier 2023.
I like that Freddie has the Martin genes and has taken a career in the field of public service
I'm kinda sad that none of the older cast were mentioned. Niles, Daphne Ross. Not gonna be the same without them
Roz is coming back, they're just keeping it a surprise 🤐
Wow! That was soooooo sickly sweet - I think I have diabetes! How many times can one cast member say how great, wonderful, generous, talented, etc. another fellow ‘cast member’ is?
In the UK that's called actors being all "luvvie" 🤮
A great moment from the original series that makes me cry is when Frasier feels terrible for beating his father at chess, a rite of passage for everyone when we exceed our parents in some way.
Which makes what the hack writers have done to Frederick all the more awful
@@lenawagenfuehr53 Watched the first two episodes. The second was better. I think they'll find their groove before long.
I'm not a die-hard Frasier fan, but even still, he had left his mark on comedy, like Seinnfield before him, into the eather... and these heroes will never die.
Gotta Love Jeremy Seinnfield
@@leninswalrus Funny that your name is walrus... because I was high on something, while I wrote that. (Sober me would know how to spell Seinfeld.)

Watching Frasier makes you feel warm and cosy.
man, i really hope this is a success! ive grown to hate laugh tracks in comedies, but ill make an exception for Frasier
FYI, on Frasier, those " laugh tracks" were not actual standard industry laugh tracks commonly in use, but rather, recordings of the live, studio audience during the taping of each episode. We got the real deal, in real time, the reaction of real people who were there as each scene happened. Cheers ☘️
There is a lot of love out there for Frasier Crane. They simply HAVE to get this right
I wish they had showed us the first 8 or 9 minutes of the new Frazier show to get us excited I love Kelsey Grammer and I hope to watch this new show good luck break the leg
Coming out in 4 days
The first episode was very funny. Well done. Kelsey Grammer really is amazing. His delivery is the best part.
You can't be who you were 30 years ago. One season. Tops.
But you can be your own grandad, but not in a Philip J Fry way
Frasier is my TV background light most evenings. I still laugh out loud. I'm wondering who will replace Marist? :)
I’m so grateful that he will expose a whole new generation hopefully more to the role model fraiser always was! He’d try to do the right thing and some how show us time and again how it would not work out but it shouldn’t stop you from trying ❤
I grew up with Fraisier during the original run of the series, from a kid to my early teens, admittedly I had no business watching it but it became one of my comfort shows and as an adult rewatching the series it became funnier and more relatable...Am sold.
Welcome back Doctor!
Man, the 90s are back with a vengance
Thank you thank you thank you. I loved this program!. I so look forward to this new series. A real feel good program. I even LOVED the theme song. This was REAL programming. True humanity in collaboration.
It’s crazy how many years that Kelsey Grammer will potentially get to play Frasier for ever since starting on Cheers
I hope this new series is good and is successful so we can get a lot of seasons and then after a little while we get another Frasier series when he’s in his 80s and 90s
I feel that every couple of decades we need a new Frasier show just so Grammer can keep playing him
Frasier ended perfectly and beautifully. I’m good.
How wonderful that America will get to see Nicholas Lyndhurst, an absolute veteran of British sitcom and a wonderful comic actor, his family have been through so much recently, so if anyone deserves this to be a success, it's him.
Im on my second Frasier Box set because i burned through the first one. The show is that good. Im looking forward to the new series. I hope it runs for a minimum of 10 years.
So good to Nicholas Lyndhurst back on our screens. Also noticed a parallel to the ‘lock up your daughters’ line from the OFAH episode ‘The Jolly Boys Outing’ 9:06
Totally looking forward to following this next chapter in Dr. Crane's life. I don't think I'm familiar with the prior work of the other actors, except for Nicholas Lyndhurst whom I fondly remember from eons ago in "The Prince and the Pauper", and "Only Fools and Horses", both really fun shows featuring amazing work by Mr. Lyndhurst. The cast seems to have a natural warmth in their dynamic already. btw, I'd be ok with Kevin Frazier doing a recurring cameo as "the OTHER Frazier", kind of like how the two Julie Browns sometimes crossed paths on MTV back in the day.
I highly recommend another Lyndhurst show "Good Night Sweetheart" a rather lovely comedy series bridging Britain in the 1990s and 1940s.
@@backtoearth1983 That was such a great show; so well written.
In America. Ooh, it's Kelsey Grammer, comedy sitcom legend. In the UK, Ooh, it's Nicholas Lyndhurst, comedy sitcom legend.
The thing I am most curious about is what turned Fredrick into Freddy? As a kid he had dozens of allergies, was stuffier than his parents and he was raised by Lilith. How did this fire fighter emerge from that kid?
I dont know, maybe 20 years passed? Lol
He took on some of his father’s traits as well as some of his grandfather’s. Martin always called him Freddy.
Fredrick’s grandfather always called him Freddy
Fredrick went through the teenage rebellious phase when he visited Frasier during Christmas while wearing Gothic fashion. So i think he manage to find his own identity eventually
I keep asking the same thing only to get ripped for asking a reasonable question. Instead of answering the question as if Freddy is a real person people should look at this way. John Mahoney passed away so how they recreate Frasier. They turn Freddy into his grandfather so he can fight with Frasier. It's actually quite lazy writing.
I loved the reboot. I feel Frasier and I grew up together and have gratefully come to this time of our lives. ❤
As for the characters who won’t be returning, we’ll this too is a reflection of real life, yet we go on. 🌲
With Cheers and the original Frasier, the casts on both shows were so strong, Kelsey didn't have to do all of the heavy lifting. I'm not sold on this new cast yet. Hopefully when we get to see the new show, their comedic talents will shine through. These previews have all been Kelsey Grammer so far.
I'm so glad Frasier is back! I've continued to watch it again and again over the years and it's so good to see him again.
I cannot wait for this to stream to England! Frasier, in my opinion, was the most funniest sitcom of all time. Now, his co-star Nicholas Lyndhurst, used to star in a English Sitcom called. 'Only Fools and Horses'. Which was always extremely funy and a very close second to Frasier. I'm excited and thank you Kelsey.
I lost my job a few years ago and was unemployed for 3 months. I binge watched the entire series. It was really comforting during that hard time in my life to have such a well written series to help me get through it.
I never get tired of Frazier, can't wait 💃💃💃
S, not z
@@lenawagenfuehr53 She could have been talking about the host!
I'm in my 40s, and I loved Frasier when it originally aired. I was pleasantly surprised by the new series.
We all know this is going to stink, but I'll be here for it :)
The scripts were phenomenal & so was the cast. Let's hope they CAN all be seen on the screen in this together again & that John Mahoney is smiling on them from the heavens. Good Luck Kelsey.🥰
I don't know. I'm getting a middle-of-the-road daytime sitcom feel from this, like one of those sitcoms that runs during the day thats just good enough to stay on the air but not so good that it becomes a big deal. I hope I'm wrong, I've always loved Frasier, I can't count the number of times I've watched through the box set.
Bingo. Unfortunately. Maybe they should have just done a TV movie with cameos from the old cast and maybe a few from Cheers.
None of the writers or producers of the original series wanted to come back and work with Grammar (due to him being a massive jagoff and ultra-right fash IRL) so there's a reason this feels like it belongs on the USA network circa 2004, at about 1pm.
@@montyr2083Oh he’s a republican so he must be a fascist. Chill out, mate.
I hate to agree with you, but I do. With almost none of the original cast, and none of the original writers, it doesn't bode well.... Unfortunately. I still watch Frasier at least twice a week or more. It's in my top five series of all time.
Is it that they had other projects going on rather than refused to work with Grammer...?
Looking forward to it. There is so much goodwill towards the show. At its best it was peerless. Good luck all...
One of the best things about Frasier was the writing. I doubt today's writers can match the original.
I hope Dauphine can be a recurring character visiting her son and since Nile’s doesn’t want to come back make him the new maris lol
Frasier was such an extraordinary series, I loved the physical and smart comedy of it.
The new series hopefully reflects life in that people change and move on - if any sitcom is capable of carrying this new series off, it is Frsier Crane.
This one falls flat for that reason ... they're forcibly recreating the relationship of Frasier and Martin Crane, only reincarnating Frasier's dad into his son. They're doing Frederick Crane a huge disservice, destroying his character and ethnicity - they've goy-washed him!
If some of the members from Cheers or Frasier don't appear in some of these episodes it will be really a shame. Nothing wrong with a new cast but surely you guys know what the audience wants.
