- WE HAVE A 2.2 RELEASE WINDOW!! Sometime in October 2023 we should finally be able to play the long-awaited Geometry Dash update. This wasn't announced in any old-fashioned way, though - Viprin and RobTop coordinated with some members of the community to create an incredible video that premiered on RobTop's channel. This video shows my reactions to the Geometry Dash 10-year anniversary special!

You have always continued to motivate me and put a smile on my face through the rough times like COVID, and I seriously can’t thank you enough for that. I definetly agree with you. Juniper was one of the reasons that i started to play GD, and she was one of the reasons i started to grind demons and beat Acu. Now i have a lot of extreme demons planned and without Juni, this probably wouldn’t happened without her. Thanks to Juni for a lot of things.

I loved watching people's reactions to this. I've known this game since 2014 and this got me super emotional and it's awesome to see others experiencing so much nostalgia like I did. This community is awesome.
everyone who worked on this video did a excellent job because this video blew me out the window! especially the bossfight animation part :) it was also so awesome and cute to have the interviews. all of the answers to the questions were great and so honest. im very excited for 2.2 in October and cant wait to play it! also after i watched the anniversary video, i wanted to see other people reactions! i so love seeing other people's reactions to it haha. its so awesome seeing thousands of people reacting to such a awesome event! also eric totally deserved that win for best content creator :)

I definitely cried during this at the premier. I was in elementary school when 2.1 came out, I remember being at my friends house playing fingerdash for the first time! Im so happy I came back to this community in time to see this video, see you all in october.
I've only been a part of the GD community for like 11 months and I have enjoyed every single moment, from beating Stereo Madness to Deadlocked and beating my first hard Demon, it hasn't taken long for GD to be my favorite game, I always feel guilty for not playing the game earlier.

2.1 came out when i was 7 years old. I am literally double the age, 14 years old. So much has happened since then, and even though i haven't been here the full 6 and a half years, i still feel a very strong connection to this community. And now that it is finally October, all we have to do is wait.

I can’t wait for October, this game has been my go to game since 2014. I can remember watching AlexPain24 beating toe2 and hexagon force and me thinking that was insane back then. This game changed my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never discovered this game from my friends. Thank you GD, can’t wait for October.

This is literally insane to me. i was so young when i first got into geometry dash. i quit a few years ago and moved on but coming back this year has felt so surreal. im so excited for 2.2 to finally be out!

6 years its almost here this has been a nostalgic trip
As cliche, as it always sounds every time, it's equally as valid when I say that I & many others never truly part from GD no matter how long we spend away from the game whether due to burnout, lack of interest, or the need to take time away from the community. The biggest factor for me distancing myself from the game & all of its members (including Juni's community, alas) almost entirely was due to mental health reasons, but I won't elaborate more. If you know, you know. If not, that's all you need to know.
I'll be haven't had any notable connection to this game in the past few years as a result, but I always held out hope that "soon" would eventually become SOON, & that I'd find the resolve to return. All I was wishing for was a release date, & it's been bestowed upon us. Now, everything we've dreamed & prophesized has come to fruition in full force!
Now is the time for us to rejoice & prepare for a whole new era of Geometry Dash. There are the obvious features & sneak peeks, but there are also lesser-discussed aspects of just how RADICALLY this will change the GD landscape, with WAVES of new creators & players entering the scene. Platformer creators, Versus players & more! As a person with prior platformer-level-editor experience, it isn't outside the realm of possibility for me either! It might be in that realm for you as well. You never know! Well, unless you try. ;)
I could gush about the quality of this video, but I honestly believe it all speaks for itself. We all know how much love & effort went into it because we felt that love come out of it too.
One last thank you, Juni for providing me with a space to grow as a person online in this community, more so in the earlier years of your channel due to what I stated above. I haven't & won't EVER take what you've done for me for granted, ever! Because of you, I have the opportunity to connect with people going forward as we enter this new era. For that, I'm eternally grateful.

I was watching live and was so disappointed that 2.2 is coming out IN OCTOBER! But it was still really exciting I’ve been playing since 2.0 but like a month later 2.1 released

Geometry Dash has been a staple in so many people's lives, including mine. I've never gotten over 10 demons, but that doesn't mean my experience has been any less fun than someone who's beaten Bloodbath.
