I used to be a dolphin spender when I thought I had agency over what I spent, but now if feels like buying a a single character has next to no impact if they're part of a team and you don't have the rest. Plus teams are getting replaced and power crept at a much faster rate.

I think what they mean is he'll have a tag that lets him participate in different nodes separate from the Illuminati. They did the same thing with OML. My expectation is that we will be star gated for the two teams and Cap Brit will make it vastly easier allowing for more points for the leaderboard.
Of course offers will probably be nice for Shuri BP. They want ppl to have sunk cost fallacy and be more likely to buy her and Hank to 5 stars, and maybe CB after you unlock him as well. Edit - apparently, my idea of best and Scopely’s are worlds apart.
here's another theory: -OML required 2 teams, both stargated at 5yellow -next legenday requires illuminati (and 1 more team) -if u somehow spent to get captain brit to 5stars, then u will also need to spend for the other team (which of course would also be expensive)
I'm not a competitive player. All these meta doesn't impact me that much. I don't usually see these top-tier characters in my CC tiers. I'm pretty glad they did it for Illuminati. Old Man Logan is one of my fav characters & I'm glad there was a backdoor to complete the requirements to unlock him. I can give Black Panther Shuri, Hank & Captain Brexit a miss. Making noise has shown to be ineffective. A boycott is what works. Hurt Scopely where it hurts most, their profits.
Alliances moral is way down too many members are talking about quitting over this P2unlock fiasco. The pay2play leaderboards were already pissing people off

Not a whale here. I like my baby OML. I can see they & mostly the Whale want a VIP room. We can be mad but they have to make the money and pay the bills. Most FTP people aren't meeting Whales on the battlefield. Sure this isn't a popular opinion let them keep this system. Hopefully the "lite spenders" will drop back to FTP. Then we will have to see if the Whales complain with no middle ground players.

They are the #2 top grossing RPG just on google play, that doesn't include the Apples app store, nor the webstore where they make the most money. This game is already HIGHLY profitable, especially when you think about how little time they put into updates and new content. The higher ups just want an endless increase in profits. I've seen so many games die because of decisions like these.
They could have also worked on Shuri's look , these screen loads are not as spiffy as the older ones were. What the hell happened in the art department !!????

I occasionally buy battle and strike passes, there's a massive difference I notice in progression when I don't buy a pass for a couple weeks. Me and my entire alliance have boycotted this, we dont care about the game, we just sim raids and its whatever, to hell with war and crucible, because we already decided if this is to continue we are quitting, and its mainly because this is a huge paywall towards next legendary and people need to start calling it exactly what it is. Everytime we think they cant get more ridiculous they do, but they cant fix simple freezing bugs that have been hampering for over a year. This is absolutely atrocious, and if the whales dont stand with ftp and buy these stupid offers, then play the game alone with the remaining 30% of players that remain.
For 675 power cores and 210 needed shards if you unlock on other way with 100 shards shuri you need 47250 power cores to get the 5* requirement for one char holy .... 😮 no way scopely and for hank i not try to calculate

If all players could ban together to put spending ban until labor day only buy passes that's it not great but enough to really matter and show that you need dev and players too. Just change name to MARVEL SPEND FORCE what ever happened to earning shards. We should all just put our money together and buy MSF instead of making them $ to give us the shaft constantly. Just believe we would listen to players since we do play the game someone at MSF needs to be reprimanded

Stop saying how things were in the beginning for the first legendaries if you haven't played back then! We used to get 4 or 5 stars for new characters then, and they made every required character farmable a few weeks before the event! Besides Magneto I unlocked every legendary completely free to play, and got 7 stars on the second pass!

I’m a returning player, reactivated my account around April. So far the experience has been pretty good. I’m not a big fan of becoming chicken little every time the game is a little more challenging or whatever, but this Captain Britain thing really does have me remembering, some of the reasons why I left the game back a few years ago. Since rejoining the game, I’ve purchased every pass; something I never did before. I’m doing it because I look around at my peers and see how much I’ve fallen behind in those few years, but I really am questioning my spending right now. The resource management aspect of the game is probably my favorite thing, but it seems like the developers are flirting very seriously with the notion that my wallet is not only an optional catch-up mechanic, but rather integral to the game going forward I’m paying very close attention and I’m going to start looking around for alternate games to get my resource management fix in case Captain Britain release truly is a leading indicator of what’s to come.
I'm f2p, and I'm competitive in CC. I'm in Plat 1, and I love CC, and now I'm screwed. Fuck these whiny krakens that can't beat everyone with their wallets, because I guarantee that's who's driving this.
Purchased a $129.99 CAD Shuri offer on the webstore at 4:22 PM CST, by the time I logged into the game at 4:36 PM CST to collect it, suddenly the Captain Britain awakened ability shards offers had appeared. I want my awakened ability shards, or I want a refund. This is absolutely infuriating that they can't get anything right.

Yes but sounds like u assumed we get minimum drops. In reality if you pull that many orbs you will get at least a few 20s if not one 40.

MSFPV has already confirmed, there is no f2p path to get Captain Britain this pass. They proposed there be one, Scopely rejected it.
