  • Welcome to the third part of our adventures in Thailand! We woke up in Kamala Beach, Phuket and got a taxi to Rassada Pier in Phuket. We didn't pre-book a ferry or speedboat ticket - we just got the next available transport when we got there, which was leaving within an hour. The ferry took two hours and it was actually pretty relaxing.
Arriving at Ton Sai Pier in Phi Phi was very overwhelming with lots of people everywhere. We wheeled our cases a few minutes down the pedestrian road (there are no cars on Phi Phi) to the ChaoKoh resort (www.booking.co.... I feel like we could have easily found cheaper accommodation on Phi Phi, but it was clean and well-presented. Apparently the standard of accommodation is very low on Phi Phi, so I was glad to have somewhere decent to hang our heads. There were a LOT of things that you could be fined for at this hotel, though, so I lived in fear of breaking a rule.
We had some great food in Phi Phi! We ate at Tom Yam Restaurant on the first night, Anna's Restaurant on the second night, and I can't remember the name of the place on our last night. Basically, if it has over a 4.3 rating on Google, it will be tasty, but you might have to queue. Food was also very reasonably priced on Phi Phi with mains for between 100 and 200 baht (£2.25-£4.75).
The tour that we booked was the Early Bird Phi Phi Speedboat tour. You will see it advertised all around the island. It's the only one that leaves at 6am - most of the others leave after 9am so they get to the locations much later in the day. It normally rains in the afternoon, so it was great to get all the sightseeing done before that. We booked tickets less than 12 hours before it departed!
On our last day, we caught a speedboat from Phi Phi to Ao Nang on the Krabi mainland. We just bought this ticket from one of the many boat ticket vendors on the streets the day before. It seemed to be a standard price.
Join us for the last vlog instalment in Krabi! We go to the famous Railay Beach and explore a Monkey Trail. It was one of my favourite stops of the trip (though they were all amazing).
    Thanks for watching!
