as a kid, i used to find aslan really frightening in the scene when he turns eustace back into a boy, but i guess that means its being true to the book as it constantly states that aslan can be as terrifying as wonderful
the sea monster here looks waaaay more scarier than the new movie...acctually i have never seen any scarier sea monster that this one in any movie/serie :O
The book said that they dont know if the dragon that Eustace found killed (and ate) Octesian or it was Octesian himself. In my opinion it was him. Love how Eustaces name sounds like "useless"
I'm mad that they cut the scene where Eustace talks with Edmund right after being turned back from a dragon, I hope they don't do that in the new one; it's just such a moving scene in the book.
I remember thinking the centaurs in this series were well done, but while you all complain about the technology and the way the dragons look, just remember, technology can't save a mediocre movie. As a narrative and with respect to acting, this is superb. So what if things don't look completely real? Movies these days have rejected storytelling and acting in the pursuit of visual stimulation. The Disney version might have money thrown into it, but otherwise it's dead.
no offense, hate me or like me, spam or give me a thumbs up.. but aslan's voice here kinda seems like a narrator from a horror movie.. it's kinda scary. but I don't hate this. I don't hate the newer version either. we all have our own opinions. so maybe we should stop hating on other people with their own opinion. but we sure can't force each other to like this and that,
@karolinakosh ach stare dobre czasy :)))) dokładnie zawsze przed świętami, tylko nie mogłam sobie przypomnieć czy cała seria była emitowana, czy tylko 1 (jakoś bardziej pamiętam tą pierwszą :( )
Couldn't Eustace have just taken the braclet off to stop being a dragon? Either way, I wouldn't mind being a dragon! the whole being a human thing has been done to death, 6.7 billion of us aren't there?
these series were great back when i was a kid, though scary in parts like the dragon shedding it's scales. i just finished watching the third of the new movies by disney. i liked the first movie, second was okay but too busy and this third one was just poorly written, didn't have a good flow to it. i have to say that the big thing i can notice about the old series in this clip is that they take the time to develop the characters and story (even if the acting isn't the best).
WHOW!!! WOW ! I Have NEVER seen the part with the sea monster!!! it was left out of the vids I saw! wow! I always just thought they left it out (they had it in the books of course) phew....sorry guys but thats a serious revelation for me! My brother was always saying, and THIS is the part with the monster...but it never happened, I thought he was crazy lol !
No, he couldn't. By the time he woke up, he was already a dragon and it was too tight on his arm (I've read the book). Besides, it's a metaphor for sin, so him doing it himself would have been missing the point---only Jesus (Aslan, here) can take off our sinful natures and make us clean again. (Please don't mind my username, it's a joke; I'm not trying to be a snob, just informative.)
Wow ... that last shot of the Giant Sea Serpent rearing up off the side there is really amazing considering the limits of the production! Excellent!
Loved this series as a kid, I still vividly remember the sea monster at the end scaring the absolute shite out of me!
It was my favourite show of all time as a kid ❤
The sea serpent in the movie couldn't hold a candle to this freak... This one is properly, effing scary! (O.O)

It does for me as well! From 5:00-5:36 is amazing! I can't wait to see how they portray this scene in the new movie.
hear dragon! ... errr.. Eustace... God I love how he says that!!!
that boat gave me nightmares as a kid
Cool episodes I can watch these over and over again would love to know where they filmed that lovely island
God i was crazy about it as a kid! still remember it on polish tv (yes polish) before Christmas:)
I think they filmed these episodes in the Scilly isles
The book said that they dont know if the dragon that Eustace found killed (and ate) Octesian or it was Octesian himself. In my opinion it was him. Love how Eustaces name sounds like "useless"
If he's useless we don't want him here!
I'm mad that they cut the scene where Eustace talks with Edmund right after being turned back from a dragon, I hope they don't do that in the new one; it's just such a moving scene in the book.
after all this time i just now noticed Aslan showed up on the beach and took Eustace to that place

I think this is where The white witch will show up in the new movie.
'Cmon... this rocks!

Serves you right, Scrubb! :D
xx

I think you are right. It is kind of like a king that got turned into a beast in the bible but I forget his name.
littlesongbird1 Nebuchadnezzar

hahahaah eustace is so nice!! jajaja
they skip a part where caspen write on the stone
7:01 I hate to play chess with Reepicheep
@DragonsDream18 Yeah, Disney had nothing to do with this new one.
20th Century Fox, who was still an independent studio at the time of that film’s making
Nebuchadnezzer, he never actually got turned into a real animal/beast but he behaved as one and thought as one (all in book of 'Daniel' Chapter 5
I see what people mean about Aslan being Jesus; only he can get the enchantment off Eustace and put him back to rights
7:55 Nightmare fuel.....
🐉🔥👍
aslan is scary!!!! :0
I Don't think that Mr. Aslan is not scary? Because He is trying to Help Lucy's Cousin.
No, he couldn't. By the time he woke up, he was already a dragon and it was too tight on his arm (I've read the book). Easy Sea )))
Eustace, more like useless.
trevor brown That was brought up in "The Silver Chair."
When Eustace sheds his skin it looks gross!
The rat is such a jerk
@bmcguire80
He became a dragon 'cause he was sleeping on enchanted treasure, having "Dragon-ish thoughts".
@littlesongbird1
I can't remember the name either, but I remember that its in the book of Daniel and he became beast-like, not into a beast.
