I still argue that Seth makes the shows just for himself and his writers, and we are just along for the ride
😂 I think you're right!❤
He and his writers are the test audience.
The best evolution of the show yet
As a proud jackal I say, Duh?
I dunno, Seth doesn't seem at ease away from his comfort desk - he was swaying from foot to foot during the sketch like a young me trying to dance at the middle school disco
In case anyone’s wondering, the Nordic Ware is actually the recommendation from multiple people who’ve actually tested baking sheets.
Thanks!
The real reason I watched the whole video 😂
Come for the chaos...
... stay for the actually pretty good advice!
Who bakes in the era of carbs?
Helen Rennie did a good review recently.
Seth, leave Lutz alone!
Leave him alone! If you wanna make someone review baking sheets, make me. No, I don't know anything about baking sheets, but that doesn't matter. Just: leave him alone!
Leave him alone; I only have one coat and I toss it on a chair, but make me test the coat hooks.
Ok that actually made me laugh out loud 😂
Callback!
I miss the "Leave Him Alone" bit...
I actually thought it was pretty funny 😂
Oh! How dare you get to that before I did! Leave me alone!
Ever since COVID this show went off the rails in the best possible way. Their weirdest of segments are my most favorite ones. It feels like a show that some friends put together for their own amusement and we are just along for the ride. Seth is left to be himself and it made this show better than anything out there.
Please keep this up.
A loving jackal
Yes! I couldn't put my finger on why I liked this segment so much but it is that it feels like friends having a lot of fun.
So very true. It's the most creative, unhinged, wild weird show, and it is far superior to the boring clunky structured shows that make up the rest. Bummer I miss the sea captain.
Craig Ferguson said that the turning point in his show was when Desmond Tutu said, "you're crazy, but a good kind of crazy. We need more of this kind of crazy". He said after that there was no stopping him and the writers, and we got Geoff Peterson, Secretariat, trips abroad, that kind of thing. I think the same thing happened to Seth and his staff during the COVID break. They decided that when they came back they weren't going to make An Late Night Talk Show anymore, and let themselves just go nuts.
couldn't have put it better, I loved the recent "Jewels!" breakdown!
This is gold, please be a reoccurring segment. The crash of baking sheets and a smug Seth was the perfect combo. Obviously corrections is ending because there’s nothing left to correct with this perfection.
Woooooooo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 YES PLEASEEEE 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hilarious 😂
The Baking Sheet Crash of 2024 was followed by the 2nd Worst Depression
@@Columbiastargazer are you kidding, this was a CURE for depression!!
I don't know if they can meet this level of perfection, but if they're willing to risk icarusing it, I support their audacity.
“Just because I hate it, doesn’t mean I’m going to do a bad job”. That’s the spirit that made America great, son! You’ve made me proud today.
It speaks to my tortured soul.
"YOU CAN ONLY BAKE ONE COOKIE AND. WHY IS IT RED" ... omg I'm dying over here lol
The jackals made Seth mad, so now he's driving his writers mad 😅
Maybe Lutz did poorly on a surprise inspection?
@@theparadoxicaltouristtrave9320my guess is Lutz wrote Jewels, was forced to be in this skit, and whoever wrote this will be forced to be in the next one, all because they refused to help with with the sequel to Cicada Cicada's sequel 2 cicada 2 Cicada.
Awww, leave him aloooone
Well joke's on him, because the jackals will be getting him back after this one. Almost every sentence had me saying, "Well actually..." Now I'm wondering if this bit was jackal bait, lol.
posting about jackals on main is why corrections is ending
John Lutz is a national treasure. I laughed so hard at this. Bring on the coat hook reviews!
I just finished 30Rock (again) and his whole Blimpie's gambit was so funny.
I say bring on any type of sketch! Such a nice departure to just drop into a random hilarious moment
@@magpismith I actually remember this! It's some kind of food!
I love love love how Late Night features its writers.
Words John Lutz can’t seem to say: “Leave Me Alone!”
Then Seth would make fun of other people, Lutz is right where he belongs, hating it is the lil'tread he gives himself😅
@@537zun4 He might like it. Like Ted Cruz. He loves bringing the hate down on himself apparently.
Because he's a bad little boy and needs step-mommy to punish him.
He told us to make fun of him, if we want to make fun of someone.
While Seth's coy cajoling is a delight to watch, what makes the bit for me is that you actually ended up recommending the Nordic Ware. They make great baking sheets! They really are a blend of quality and affordability!
Yeah I was not buying this from the beginning, baking sheets are different and it's not true that all sheets are non-stick. Pretty painful to watch.
Seth is having so much fun with this segment and I’m gonna need this to become a reoccurring segment lol
I cannot express how much joy this video brought to my heart. Thank you for your sacrifice, Lutz.
I love that a joke segment actually recommends a top-notch pan
😁I really hope this is a monthly segment, at least.
(5 Rolling Pin Emojis)
No. Please, no.
Seth: (exists)
John Lutz’s blood pressure: and I took that personally
He really should be left alone.
Seth is such a generous boss, he even shares his mental break-downs with his staff!
I love that this is not only deeply entertaining to Seth, but it's also a genuinely accurate and informative review.
Objectively hilarious! More product testing, please.
I trust Lutz more than Amazon reviews. Can't wait for his next review.
Lutz was always one of my favs on 30 Rock, his unhinged energy is just my perfect vibe.
Boy, i dunno if you insctructed the audience to stay quiet to add awkwardness or if it just fell flat in the studio, but i loved every second of it :D
It was awesome! It may have been pre-recorded so only the staff were in the studio at the time. Hence why it didn't have the loud laughter.
Lutz' timing and style are really impressive.
My favorite segment in a long time! More of these! More John!
This was like me trying to explain to my wife why certain kitchen knives are “keepers” and others are just for mundane use. AND she also chides me for further opinions just to get me ramped up as the explanation continues to become complicated and emotional. Relatable and funny stuff
I hope she enjoyed it. Is there a chance that a call from her inspired Seth to do this?
OMG!!!! 😂 Great segment, more product reviews, please? These are the types of segments we need right now!!
This sort of segment is exactly why I love this show
Love Lutz’s deadpan delivery
*bakingpan?
There's another layer to this, that the recommendation is actually a really good one
I'm always here for more John Lutz. The man is a treasure.
He had a small part on 30 Rock. Nice of Tina to gift him to Seth. Or maybe Lutz just never leaves the building.
@@michaelbayer5094correction: 30 Rock was filmed on Long Island, so he would’ve had to take a train ride to go work for Seth.
Granted, probably not a commute, but still
Love the Jewels sketch and I love this one too 😂 feels like everyone’s having fun
I absolutely love how Seth Gives his Writers "Screen Time". John is always funny, Laugh out Loud funny. And I agree with Megs125, The whole point is to make themself laugh, if we get it great, and I not only get it, I LOVE it.
OMG, this is a fully mixed and kneaded combination of meta, current satire and absurdist humour, I sweated through the whole thing - Frickin' love this team right now.
Okay, now I'm looking forward to John Lutz: Product Tester - Coat Hooks!!
lol! my nordic ware sheets outperform all my others, so when I saw John pick it up with its distintictive logo stamped bottom, I was like "obviously"!
I love how he shouts "all pans are nonstick!" while surrounded by pans that are not nonstick. Lmao.
is the one he picks nonnonstick? if it's natural aluminium?
@@stephendliddle Nope. It's an aluminum sheet, NOT nonstick. If you're making something that might stick, you need parchment paper.
I went to Second City and wrote only sketches like this that would only make me laugh. KEEP EM COMING SETH, I LOVE THESE AWKWARD SKETCHES (no sarcasm intended).
I'm actually not that fond of the "Leave him alone" segments - but this was pure HILARITY! I laughed soooo hard at both Lutz and Seth. 1000% certain this all was born when Lutz pestered people about his awesome new baking sheet at work one day.
Damn. that guy is FUNNY.
Lutz!
Shades of Lewis Black are seeping through Lutz' anger :'D 4.5/5 rolling pins for this skit. LOVED IT!
A baking sheet can make or break the cookies. I didn't know that until I bought one out of immediate necessity at The Chopping Block in Lincoln Square.
I miss going there. And hitting up Merz too
This is the best thing ever! I hope they do more sketches like this!
Omg! I need more of this! I am gonna be on pins and needles during April waiting for the segment on the coat hooks
Or, as Lamb Chop used to say, "I'm on peas and noodles!"
Now you have me wondering who makes the best pins and needles.
Rolling pins and needles
Seth has the best show!! Absolutely mental and I love it. Love from the UK
This sketch is beautifully dumb and phenomenal all at once. As a former pastry chef and lover of making things SUPER awkward, I can not stress how much I enjoy this.
“Don’t you touch it” 😂😂
I love when Seth acts like "he is acting" 😂 He's too good at that! ❤
That routine was awesome and John was perfect, academy award!
Just ordered a 3-sheet set from Nordic Ware, thanks Lutz!
This was my favorite Lutz appearance/sketch. Would love to see this added to the rotation.
That tag at the end was :chef's kiss:
Wish I could've been a fly on the wall when this one was written
It's like 'Menopause Day' at America's Test Kitchen!😄
As a baker, this is my favorite segment ever. ❤❤❤
Lutz always delivers. One of my favorite writer/actors
Best Lutz segment ever!! I love Nordic ware!
Truly laughing, out loud, uncontrollably
All Hail John Lutz the product testmaster!
Lutz is absolutely darling. I love everything he does!
Oh my g0d! This was sooo funny!!🎉❤ Great chemistry, you guys! 🎉❤
More of this kind of thing! It's the kind of sketch we need right now.
I adored this. This sketch is excellent. A post-post-comedy piece of work which will now live in my cozy noodle. Thank you Lutz.
Yes! More Lutz, please.
More, more, more! More of Seth & Lutz!
This is the quality of comedy I look forward to when I come home from work❤️✨
I totally feel this. Why are there soooo many choices for baking sheets. My life has been totally wasted at Bed, Bath and Beyond! THX LUTZ !
Ask Bernie Sanders, It is OK to be angry about capitalism!
chef depot. don’t waste your time with the consumer garbage
Did my sarcasm not google translate ? 🤔
“Leave him alone” is great but this was truly hilarious. Bravo.
Best review EVER, what a great double team 😂😂😂😂
I actually enjoyed this bit a lot more than expected. well played!
This was absolutely hilarious! 5 😂 out of 5. Fantastic
Can't get enough of Lutz, he's so great
I didn’t know reviewing baking sheets could be so cathartic. 🤪
Lutz isn't laugh out loud funny to the audience--but I am SO entertained every time. I hope everyone knows the difference. I love this!
This kinda reminds me of the best skits from Saturday Night Live...taking a subject that you would think was inherently boring and making it hilarious with sheer comedic talent...
Can I just say John Lutz is my favorite and I love everything he's in?
I love Lutz's performances
Nice segment
I love Lutz. Also this is the best baking sheet. So in a surprising turn of events, this segment provided genuinely high quality consumer advice.
Not my favourite segment, but I do love how Seth leans into the awkward and fully commits to a bit that has trouble finding its legs. Plus, showcasing a writer? That makes even an off day a good day :)
HILARIOUS. So funny it hurt. Kyle Kinane's interview came up first in TH-cam sequence and Seth hinted the baking sheet skit wasn't a hit. Ohmygoodness - Wonderfully done. Especially love the close up (almost sniffing?), the whispering and the feel of improv. Kudos
I have the Nordic baking sheet and it is the best!
But before the test, were you aware of the religious connections?
@@user-yn7yo1co3k I was not. This is why I watch Late Night in hopes that one of Seth’s writers would do a review of baking sheets and the religious connections it has!
Really nice to see someone funny on this channel for once. More Lutz!
Such a lot of fun, great comedy timing too.
Hey John,
Caught you at the Restless Leg Tour! Best laugh of the night was when Tina and Amy threw a picture of you up on the screen! 🤣
I love Lutz! Every episode with him is with is 5 out of 5 rolling pins
PLEASE YES MORE OF THIS BIT
Loved it
For Aussie conversations, sheet = tray. hook = hanger.
If hook = hanger, what do you call those things that hang on the closet rod?
Thanks for the helpful dialect lesson! Keep em' coming! What the heck is a "stubby"? Why do you call a portable drinks cooler an "Eskie"?
@@chezmoi42we call that your mother
@@emu_warrior Excuse me? Is that how you address an 81 year old woman? Your granny must be exceedingly proud of you.
@@chezmoi42facebook is that way granny -->
This is SO me talking about baking stuff!!! And, Lutz is right, the KAF aluminum half sheet baking pan is the best one out there.
Much more entertaining than I expected! 👍
When Seth said, “We’re going to do it again next month, with 86 coat hooks…,” I had laughter tears.
Finally an actual useful clip from Seth Meyer. Who would have thunk it.
As a note, not all baking pans are 'non stick', in fact the one that the Tester recommended as the top pan, was not a non-stick pan. It was most likely aluminum, and the steel rim support would overcome aluminum's natural tendency to warp, or depending, fly off the aircraft... I mean warp in the oven.
More sketches!!!!!! Do more sketch bits, please? This was perfect and the crowd was surprised. If you lean into it a few more times, I'm telling you kid: you're sitting on gold! Gold, I tell you!
Yes! Please more skits! I want more skits!
This is the kind of sketch we need right now!
It may not've been the biggest hit in the studio, but I WILL DIE on the John Lutz: Product Tester hill
Seth’s body language here makes him look like Lord Voldemort
Once again I am watching Late Night with Seth Meyers and thinking "What the hell am I observing here?"
and I love it.
Seth and Lutz are so perfect at playing off one another.
I love this! Please, please, more!
