    Well done. Do you know why nulls look different between creating a new null vs. dragging a previously created null from the project panel in to a comp? I realize creating new nulls is very little overhead, but I like to reuse things when I can - and dragging a null from the project panel shows solid, set opacity to 0 to match a created null but the box doesn't show?

    How did you get the grain to go along the edge of the square so well? I tried adding a radial gradient fill, but it is still circular and doesn't exactly match the edge as well as yours. These are great tutorials btw!

    • @JakeInMotion

      I used an inner shadow layer style. Then I added the noise HLS to add grain, levels to add contrast, and a tint to control the color.

    • @JakeInMotion
      @JakeInMotion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the same way. You can just use each null to squash and stretch from those points, or add more nulls wherever you need the squash and stretch to happen.

    Awesome! Does anyone know if there is some keyboard shortcut or some way to temporarily move a null object without moving everything that is pick whipped to it? When I google this I get nothing but intro courses on using null objects, but I just want to know this one thing. I've been working on an animation and want to reposition a null before continuing my work. There are tons of layers pick whipped to it, but not all. So instead of going through and selecting individual layers, un-parenting, moving the null, re-selecting individual layers and re-parenting, I just want to +BOOP+ move the null and that's it. Thanks in advance!

    • @JakeInMotion
      @JakeInMotion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not that I know of, but it would probably be quicker to just make a new null in the new position and then parent the original null to it.

    Hello everybody,
    I have question about null object.
    I need to move different layers in my composition.
    But some layers are previously connected with a null objet.
    When i create a new null object for the same layers, the old link is break.
    Question : Can I use two nulls for on layers. Of cours if it's not possible, how can i get around the problem ?
    Thanks
