That's actually not true. You should hear the last two albums by infant Annihilator, that's peak deathcore. Lyrics are just really messed up in this genre, they say that's what makes deathcore but it isnt. Its the music, not the lyrics, that define deathcore.
This is not just epic, this absolutely phenomenal! One of the best and most complete deathmetal albums I've ever listened to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I did not expect this when I clicked on this. Your sound has some serious meat on it. Haven’t found a band that caught me this off guard since Slice the Cake. I don’t have a ton of friends that would appreciate this sound, but the ones I know would, you bet I shared it with them as quickly as I could navigate through the Share menu.
This album is fucking INSANE. WOW.. just wow.. The darkness and malice of deathcore with the melodies and harmonies of Prog kept in time with something groovy.. like Luna Shore had a three way with Arch Enemy and Meshuggah. What a masterpiece. I literally had to stop what I was doing and just sit and listen to this until it was finished.
18:04 - 5. Cathedral of Dracul (feat. Twisted Insane) OH MY GOD. Twisted Insane is one of my favorite rappers of all time! Imagine my surprise when I suddenly heard him drop bars on this track! I had to do a double take and rewind the track. This is a 10/10 album.
I'm a metalhead through and through, but a large portion (perhaps a majority) of my life had me listening to rap more than anything else. My point being, Cathedral of Dracul was fucking INSANE. Twisted Insane was that sonic-speed rapper I'd only heard a couple songs from years ago, but still nonetheless blew me away. Never thought I'd hear him on a metal album. Thanks for proving me wrong :)

I do prefer the darker and heavier songs; and thus, wasn’t much into Valley of Lycans nor Cathedral of Dracul, but you guys are completely right on experimenting on new styles and / or simply diversifying on the sounds and bringing more people to the table. Also, pretty cool to see Stevie going for the cleaner vocals on Sea of Ghosts. Simply there is no denying that you guys are extremely talented, and are responsible for one of the most artistic songs out there. Congratulations. Now I’m just waiting for Damned pt.2 lol (seriously, that one was way above anything else that I’ve ever heard).

The timing was uncanny but it hurt to see how I just discovered you guys and the band ended not long after. Regardless, I love you guys and your magnificent music, it stands out from the generic onslaught of boring modern death metal these days. Found you guys yesterday and I'm fuckin hooked. This entire album shreds and all the arrangements/orchestrations in the background are a perfect touch of ambience. Love the titles, the album art, the lyrics. This whole project just exudes pure evil. My favorite track is probably "Something's Breathing in the Hallway" although the ending to "Hunt Above, Dwell Below" is extremely strong, that blood curdling shriek is something I definitely need to hear more of. And I can't forget the Ozzy cover, absolutely tits. Great choice of song.
