Hey hey y'all! Welcome to our day here on Our Small Town Life. We live in a small town in the Southern United States and love gardening, chickens, homesteading, homemaking and homeschooling. We are a real life family sharing real life ups and downs. Our large family of 7 lives in a double wide mobile home on a one acre homestead and my hope is to encourage you in the walk and path that you are called to. Tiffany, I am a long time subscriber and love you and your family so much.
I am asking for much needed prayer for my husband (Gene). We learned in January that he has bone cancer. We have been married for 62 years and it is so very hard to even think of life without him. We know that our Heavenly Father is in control of our lives, however, it is so hard to not question why this is happening . We have had a good long life and God has blessed us, but we aren’t ready to be separated .
Gene tells me that he will go just beyond the moon and wait for me before going through Heavens gate….it is just so hard to see him suffering and not be able to help him at all. Please pray that God will lessen his pain and that He will strengthen me for the journey that neither one of us want to take. I love you and I appreciate you. 🙏🏼😘

Tiff,To me God is involved in everything we do,Wyatt is so sweet and precious,all of your kids are precious,I didn't have a childhood and i said i will protect them and i did,that's why i have anxiety and ptsd,My babies are my pride and joy and i know you feel the same,I have many crosses in my room and now David wants them and he will get them!🥰💞❤

I totally agree about slowing down to let your children help, it’s a choice I have to choose to prioritize every day (we all know it really is so much easier and faster to do tasks on our own). But, the Lord is continually refining me in having the patience to slow down and be present and MY heart is so blessed and encouraged every single time by their joy and gratitude to simply help and be with me. It humbles me every day. Thank you so much for your wisdom and encouragement in intentional motherhood! So grateful to be a part of this community with so many like-minded mamas! 🤍

All 6 of my kids are grown now. I was a stay at home mom. Ive always told my kids. You don't have to be a Dr or Lawyer. Just be a good person and I will have done my job.

Oh wow this one hit me hard Tiffany. This one was meant for me and I definitely needed to hear it. Thank you so much for this. I am guilty of just doing things myself because its easier/faster even when my children have asked to help. And I am not proud of how I have reacted to some situations. These seem like common sense things as a mother to realize they are watching and learning from us but as you get busy with all the things and life its easy to get caught up and forget to slow down. Thank you thank you thank you for this kick in the butt😂 I deserved it. Message received Lord message received ❤🙏. This will be one I come back to and rewatch. Hi Tiffany, thank you for the encouraging video. I loved this and just hearing you chat. You are full of wisdom! I wanted to ask, do you have any ideas for getting your youngest involved in these tasks? My son is the same age as your youngest and already wanting to help mama around the house. I just struggle on figuring out tasks for him.
I'm so proud of you for wanting to let him be involved! Letting them help from a young age teaches them (and us) so much! Fletcher's favorite thing to do is hand clean dishes to us from the dishwasher. He also likes to help stir things with help and sit in his high chair right beside me as I make meals. Just letting them be present as we complete tasks helps them understand a little better what we are doing and why we do it.
@@OurSmallTownLife Jacob loves the dishwasher too, I haven’t been brave enough to let him help unload it yet, but I did this morning with your encouragement and he loved it! 🥰
