    This is my final video with the bad audio! From here on out, all my videos will have audio crisper than Sir Frankie Crisp. Beware, though - the audio goes WAY up and down in this episode. The intro music is going to be insanely loud, and you’re gonna need to turn down your volume for it. Most of the editing on this episode was done by the great and incomparable Hemlox, making this the first video I’ve co-created with someone else, but I made the intro and outro, and we didn’t communicate on using one equalized audio level. I’ll take the blame for that. On the bright side, no more of that coming up! Enjoy my future episodes!

    You’re blowing up before our eyes and it’s beautiful. 100% the next big channel in this genre and better than most others. You deliver the story efficiently and entertainingly. Other creators go for length and cramming in information while you actually journalistically deliver information like you know what you’re doing. Would love to speak with you sometime personally and discuss your ambitions and overall vision of this channel and beyond, simply out of interest.

    I'm so sorry for this, but this kept drawing me out of the narrative. Rosicrucian is pronounced like "rose" like the flower for its first syllable . And Edgar Cayce's last name is pronounced like "kay_see" . Doesn't make sense, but that's the way he pronounced it. I've done a lot of reading on both these topics in the past, so they really pricked my ears up when you said them.
    I love your videos, but correct pronunciation helps sell the veracity of your work. I'm only making this comment for you in case you refer to either of them again.

    It is absurd how offended some people get by this monument, going as far as to blow it up is just so unnecessary. The exact number of people it suggests to maintain humanity under may be questionable but the general idea seems reasonable enough. The text is just so minimal, it is not telling anyone to live any specific lifestyle or anything, it is essentially just suggesting that society should be managed carefully.

    Now that information tablet is worth a tiny fraction of the total project cost and i find it hard to believe the author and the mason spelled that word incorrectly. It's a code. So far i have entirely failed to crack it. That being said, the only word or phrase i can make from the letters contained with the brackets is 'A doyens pun' ❤

    • @torscabinetofcuriosities
      @torscabinetofcuriosities  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, it's in the credits. Also, I don't think that particular version is copyrighted, even by FEX; the band released a different recording of it when it was found, but the version that was on the radio was a demo, and even they don't know where it can be found anymore.

    • @professorhaystacks6606
      @professorhaystacks6606 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@torscabinetofcuriosities Oh, whoops. No one watches the credits! :P I was checking the description for a link.
      First let me say that I LOVE the idea of using unknown songs in this manner as the author would have to come forward to copy claim.
      That said, while I am not a lawyer, I have encountered this much before: To my understanding, at minimum the lyrics and tune are still copyrighted, even if that particular performance is not. Unless they sold them, which seems unlikely, FEX still holds those rights, which gives them the right to restrict the use of any recording without a license, though cover licenses are automatic in the US (they still require payment). They seem to have a fairly permissive stance on use, but if they or their assigns when they eventually pass were to make an issue out of it it could be trouble.
      FWIW, in the US the performance is probably still copyrighted. In 1995 the "Copyright Restoration for International Works Act" put back into copyright any foreign work that a) had previously not been b) was still under copyright in its country of origin and c) would not be public domain under the Sonny Bonno Copyright Act. Infamously, this affected "Peter and the Wolf". It would take a German copyright lawyer to figure out b) for certain, but based on the Wikipedia article thereon, FEX presumptively owned the copyright to it in Germany in 1995, giving them US copyright now even if it had lapsed.
      Unless there is a US copyright registration, though, it would mostly be an issue in the sense of a take-down notice.

    This "multiple people" thing doesn't make any sense. He said "they" as in people looking into the stone, not the people who built it. Also, "they" as a gender-unknown term is incredibly common. This is long before conservatives declared a war on they-them lol
