Gotta share with you what I used for my swatch book! I got one of johanna basfords weekly planner & turned it into a swatch book! That way I also got a chance to see how everything have works on her style of paper. , AND You can still color the pictures! Ok hou know how each day of the week is written and then there are lines where you can write whatever you want.. alli did was add an extra line inbetween each line,, and then run lines down to make each swatch box,, and then a small one just below to write the name & number. I could fit all150 prismas on 2 pages.I even swatched my alcohol markers on the pages I. The back, you can make your boxes any size you want! And there is def enough pages to fill in all the colors you have ! I guarantee it. I did all 150 prismas, all my black Widows, 72 artezas, 72 arteza wc, artisto 72 reg and 72 wc, amazon Basics 120, ohuhu 96, ohuhu 48, Star Joy Gold 120, about 150 gel pen total, 60 prisma scholars , and my brain can't think of whatever else, but point is I still have roo. For more!, and I like that it's smaller in size too. And it's spiral bound, worth paying $16 bucks for.!
If you search " weekly adult coloring journal" there are a couple that show up. I saw one that's like 8.95 that looked decent. I didn't look it up on yourtube but from the description the page with the days of the week was " plain, "which is what you want! So anyways thought I'd share that with ya! I did it last year and I still use it all the time!

I used a 3” binder, designed an EXCEL spreadsheet listing manufacturer, color number, name, a swatch space, showing the pencil color from soft to burnished, added a multi manufacturer cross reference and then the “location” of each pencil. Location being which wooden box, the boxes were spray painted a particular color code for each manufacturer (box A, B, C, D, E, etc, with drawers 1 / 5 each. I began my collection with drafting color pencils in 1972 right up present date. Wax base, Oil base, very hard to very soft, watercolor to Museum quality Aquarelle. Allowing for expansion, I placed each completed sheet of toothy paper (or watercolor paper) in a transparent protective binder sheet, in the binder with separation tabs. This is merely a suggestion, it has worked for me over 50 years, the system has evolved. The gal with the most pencils wins…. LOL. Bless you for showing simplicity, to the question….where did I put that pencil?

On the blend color page. You take the color on the top. You blend it with the colors going down the row. The boxes are what the two colors become. You do that for every color going across the top horizontally with the ones going down the line vertically. So you are making rows of colors of the color on top going down the line.

This other coloring channel I watch, my mind is blank, but if I remember her name I will drop it.
She actually mentions an app that lets you scan or manually add them, almost like a virtual library.
She uses to know what she has & how many copies. Lol
I totally agree with you, that one book could have had extra swatch pages instead

Oh yea forgot to mention, before I got her book, I had bought the coloring book companion that you have . I need up using all the different ones in there for swatch charts! Lol the one that says blending chart on it, I just used to put colors that go together. I didn't literally blend them.like color families.the ones that says blending swatches on it, I just drew an extra line and made them extra color swatch charts that I stuck inside the cases of each brand or wherever. Figured I had the pages so might as well make the best out of them and use them one way or another!,

Hi there. Not sure what you mean by more prep? I can continue on with the second part to this video on my upcoming video recording list. There wasn’t a lot to prep since I was just showing the different books and what not but I think maybe you meant filling out some of the swatches?

Wish I had something like this when I started, all my swatches are in display books. The blending grid is great for beginners as it teaches colour theory. It can show how many colours you can get from a small 12 set into a 100+ set if you mis them all, I thin Sarah Renae Clark does that on her channel. But interesting non the less it depends how big you want your swatch area. the idea of listing all my colouring books is daunting but I like the journal type pages, I als o like your thought of just a sample book for leaves flowers and mushrooms etc. Take care.

Hi there. It’s never too late to start with a new swatchbook. Yes, I don’t see the purpose of listing all of your coloring books when you can just go look on your shelf. I know all of the books I have. I suppose for people that don’t have a good memory and have so many they can’t keep track, maybe it would work. I think it would be better to have a chart in the record book of “fully completed coloring books” versus just a list of all the coloring books you own since we generally only do a few pages per book if we have a lot. It’s definitely daunting to think of making color blending charts turning 12 pencils into 100. I might do that at some point for a video.

thank you for covering these, i used a Ruby's Charms Coloring Chart, well i actually used it up....yikes...It has the colors and number listed of the more "classic" pencils prisma, FC, Ateza, etc...also has multiple blank charts.....she used squares and circles for the swatches, there are coloring pictures in between ......it is kinda neat....if you don't like Mixed shapes or coloring pages mixed in this is probably not for you. I found it difficult to get what i wanted and finally just did my own....Good luck finding what you want and like in this selection!!

Thank you for the comment. I looked over the charms coloring chart, and it had the similar kind of mixed feelings I already mentioned, but you are right, really depends on what you’re looking for. Maybe it’s time for you to get a new one.
