I was scrolling through Disney+ and found a movie called…Star Wars. I’d never heard of it before, watched it and it was pretty good! I never heard anybody talk about it before.
It looks alright, nothing we haven't seen a thousand times already though. There's lots of them as well, the director must've been short on money so decided to make a failed cash grab. Looks like he made it in his back garden! Also, they can't be talking about sensitive subjects like the destruction of Alderaan in such a frank manner like this. Hundreds of innocent people died, and the director's trivialising that and using it to get him a quick buck. So, not only is this "Star Wars" thing so poorly made and uninspired, it's also extremely offensive! We need Disney to save us and make the CGI worse turning every character into a wooden Mary Sue. That will surely help...

I will stand The Rocketeer up against any superhero movie of the modern era. A movie with endless heart, charm, and good old fashioned heroism, with no agendas. James Horner's magnificent score. The best performance of Timothy Dalton's career. And women simply do NOT get any more gorgeous than Jennifer Connelly in her prime.

Paddington 2 is my favorite family movie of all time, and I’ll call it underrated forever, a perfect film to me. It would be my first recommendation to anyone!
I enjoyed Wind River, but I've never recommended it because I felt the final act goes a little too far and I would probably lose my credibility due to the nature of those scenes. Frailty is one of the biggest surprises I've ever come across, but it's so hard to describe to people and make it sound appealing without giving away spoilers. I still need to watch The Rocketeer and I'm adding Warrior and Chef to my to-watch list!
I personally didn’t love The Rocketeer (1991) when I saw it at home. I do remember the big marketing campaign it had. It came out the same summer as Sean Chandler’s all-time favorite movie. Came out two weeks before T2, in fact. I don’t remember which movies I saw during the summer of 1991 but it wasn’t The Rocketeer or T2. There were only four movies I remember seeing in the theaters in all of 1991 - Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves The Addams Family TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze Kindergarten Cop My memory seeing Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves in the theater is hazy and probably is at 50-50 but the other three I know for sure I saw in the theater. I saw Home Alone 1 & 2 and Addams Family 1 & 2 with my family in the theaters for sure. And then I saw other 1991 movies when they eventually came on HBO/Cinemax/Showtime/The Movie Channel when we had cable including Prince of Thieves on loop. I remember a big marketing push for Dick Tracy (1990) and similar to The Rocketeer, I didn’t see that movie in the theater either. I eventually saw The Rocketeer at home and it didn’t feel all that memorable. I still don’t understand how the jetpack doesn’t burn his feet. I don’t remember the summer of 1991 all that much. I only remember maybe going to Vegas and staying at The Mirage. I still owned only an NES. Didn’t get a Genesis until Feb 1992 and a Game Boy until Christmas 1991. I don’t think 1991 was all that memorable for me as a year. But I remember seeing so many movies in the summer of 1993. That was a fun year. I have clearer memories going to the theaters a lot from 1993 and upwards. Like I still remember my stomach hurting from the bellyache laughter There’s Something About Mary (1998) gave to me during that zipper scene. I do remember 1991 was the start of me recording movies and TV shows using a VHS VCR. I do remember that. I recorded Back to the Future Part II on Showtime back in 1991. And I was very much into I Love Lucy, Gilligan’s Island, and Three’s Company on syndication. Then I’d watch Married…with Children on Fox every Sunday at 9 PM. Those four sitcoms still remain my all-time favorites. And I remember watching Saturday Morning cartoons and then Saved by the Bell and WWF wrestling after them back in 1991. Just One of the Guys (1985) and Teen Witch (1989) used to come out a lot on cable. Two of my favorites from 1991 that came on HBO a lot were If Looks Could Kill with Richard Grieco and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. And no, I’m not watching the reboot of the latter. Damn, I miss being a kid. We had it good, Sean, in the early 90s. Prior to Bob Ross, my ASMR was listening to Doogie Howser type his journal on a computer. The best hip hop, R&B, and house music came in the early 90s. “Rhythm is a Dancer” by Snap! still hits hard. My favorite Air Jordan are the VIIs released in 1992. Street Fighter II from 1991-1992 was all the rage in the arcades. While I didn’t love The Rocketeer, I’m glad Sean brought it up. I enjoyed reminiscing what I experienced in the early 90s.
I agree with The Rocketeer; I have loved that movie since I was a boy! Some of my other favorite underrated movies, similar to The Rocketeer insofar as they are simply fun adventures that appeal to the boy in me, are: 1. John Carter 2. Speed Racer 3. Cowboys and Aliens 4. Conan the Barbarian (1982) 5. Last Action Hero
Rise, Dawn and war of the planet of the planet of the apes. I know it has plenty of fans and theres a new one coming very soon but it still doesn't get any where near the amount of recognition and appreciation it deserves. Honestly one of the best, most well written, amazing trilogies ever made
My favorite films are Edge of Tomorrow and Hard Boiled. While they are kind of popular by fans, I think they deserve a lot more appreciation and recognition.
Oh boy this is gonna be fun (1) Jesus Revolution (2) Hacksaw Ridge (3) Revenge of the sith (4) Amazing Spiderman 2 (5) Lego Ninjago movie (6) Harry Potter and the order of the pheonix (better than Prisoner for me) (7)Captain America the first avenger (8) A Quiet Place (not particularly underrated but since it's one of my favorite movies I put it on here) (9) Luca (10) How to train your dragon 2
I usually go into movies or shows not knowing the reception and then surprised if it's smth that not ppl know or if it got negative reviews, also ones I feel should get more credit, here are a few, no particular order: 10. The Wolverine(great film, but overshadowed by Logan) 9. Ghost in the Shell 2017(I thought this was a good adaptation and just a great movie, I don't get the hate) 8. Walking Dead S10(most stopped watching after S7 or 8, but I think they missed out on one of the best seasons) 7. Rurouni Kenshin movies(best anime live action movies I've seen) 6. Puss in Boots 1(definitely not as good as the 2nd, but I honestly liked this more than the first Shrek movie) 5. Bad Times at the El Royale(massively overlooked film, top 3 favorites of 2018) 4. Star Wars Rebels(I like this more than Clone Wars, but it's rarely talked about in the Star Wars community) 3. Batman Returns(I loved that Tim Burton went all out with his creativity and I prefer this to 89 Batman easily) 2. The Thing 2011(honestly a very enjoyable prequel/remake, it's definitely not as good or clever as the 1982 version, I mean that's a masterpiece so hard task, but it's not bad, other than the CGI) 1. Doctor Sleep(a near perfect film IMO, great blend of Kubrick and Stephen King and a very satisfying sequel to the Shining)
Here's some under-rated movies (also are my secret pleasures; many are cult-classics): Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Murder by Death, The Wind and the Lion, Black Snake Moan, Smokin' Aces, White Mischief, Doc Savage: Man of Bronze, Outland, Desperately Seeking Susan, Tampopo, To Live and Die in L.A., The Name of the Rose, Black Widow (1987), Crossing Delancey, The Fabulous Baker Boys.

7) V for Vendetta
8) Kick Ass
9) Malignant
10) Collateral
great list but none of these movies are underrated
Thanks for the recommendations, Sean! I have a suggestion when you do videos such as this one. Somewhere either in the video or maybe in the description, it would be great to tell us where these movies are streaming or how to otherwise access these recommendations.
I'll see what i can do
I will stand The Rocketeer up against any superhero movie of the modern era. A movie with endless heart, charm, and good old fashioned heroism, with no agendas. James Horner's magnificent score. The best performance of Timothy Dalton's career. And women simply do NOT get any more gorgeous than Jennifer Connelly in her prime.
Wind River is a fantastic pick! It was one of my top 5 movies of 2017 but even I forget about it sometimes because I hear no one talk about it lol
I’m nearly it was because of you I watched Warrior back in the day, appreciate your videos Sean!
I Used To Be Famous was a film I watched on Netflix a couple years ago and oh my goodness it hit me emotionally. I laughed, I cried. It's such a feel good masterpiece that I personally recommend

@@impossiblemovies323that’s like the best one on there
@@impossiblemovies323I love the Prince of Egypt. It’s one of the best animated films of all time for me. Then again I’m into Biblical epics.
Now this is a list
I just realized I had 3 David Duchovny films on my list here.
1. Evolution (2001)
2. Return to Me (2000)

Here are some underrated movies that we don't talk about enough (and yes I am a big Mel Gibson fan 😅):
- Ransom (1996)
- Payback (1999)
- Maverick (1994)
- The Man Without a Face (1993)
- Get the Gringo (2012)
- Blood Father (2016)
Occupation, Occupation: Rainfall, Bring Him To Me and Journey To Bethlehem are ones I recommend to everyone.
The only movie you mentioned here that I haven't seen yet was Fighting with my Family. Seen, and love, all the rest! Great list, you had me at Love and Monsters, such a great movie that doesn't get nearly enough love!
Overlord so underrated 🔥 one of the most intense war scenes in the beginning of the movie
My list are Mr. Peabody and Sherman, The Bob's Burgers Movie, Piranha 3d, Ready Player One, Pan, The Fabelmans, Brave, Onward, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, and The Magnificent Seven.
for me , life is beautiful is great and very underrated , the leading actor won an Oscar but it needs to be talked about more today and "II postino" is very underrated as well
I love love love The Rocketeer! I don't know why it's not talked about more nowadays. Another couple of movies that I absolutely love that don't get talked about now are Conspiracy Theory & That Thing You Do!
My favourite are:
The Long kiss goodbye.
Prince Of Egypt.
Frailty.
Jackie Brown.
The Hateful Hate.
Felon.
Tomcats.
The Last Duel.
The Last Action Hero.
Mystery Men.
The movie "Dredd" from 2012 was amazing and should have started a film franchise.
Warrior has long been one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time, so I love every time it shows up in any video!
THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY is one of the most underrated and beautiful feel good movies I've ever seen
Being a wrestling fan love seeing fighting with my family on here see a non wrestling fan like it fills my heart
"The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)"
A solidly entertaining swashbuckler. I enjoyed it way better than The Mask of Zorro.
You sir have great taste
So glad you included the Zorro title! A def favorite of mine for a long time.
A really good and underrated movie is Hustle with Adam Sandler. It’s on Netflix. It’s a feel good movie with a really good underdog story. It’s a basketball movie where Adam Sandler plays an NBA scout who goes oversees to Europe and discovers this very talented, but raw player who lives in poverty and he works with him to get him into the NBA
Here are some animated movies that I think are very much underrated. Once Upon A Forest. Anastasia. We're Back. The Pagemaster. The Sword In The Stone and Thumbelina
As crazy as this sounds, never heard of 3:10 to Uma until I found this channel so thank you

Game night is really underrated I agree that movie was such a fun watch and here’s one for you because I feel like it haha, The man from U.N.C.L.E by guy ritchie
Solid list Sean!
Anonymous is one of my favorite movies. It was criticized in part because of the theory that Shakespeare did not write his own work, but I think it's a really great film. If you like historical drama, this is a great exploration of how art can have an immense social impact.
With you, Cody, and Chris Stuckmann bringing Frailty back into the limelight I hope it can get the recognition it deserves!
Great list Sean! I love Overlord, Warrior, Mask of Zorro and The Rocketeer.
Breakdown (1997), License To Kill (1989), Warrior (2011), Insomnia (2002), Volcano (1997), Daylight (1996), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and Godzilla King Of The Monsters (2019) just to name a few
Love my Godzilla movies...smile
I run a movie theater and I have two movie posters on the wall of my office. One is The Dark Knight and the other is Warrior. I always recommend that movie to anyone who hasn’t seen it. I fully agree with your list Sean. Overlord and Fighting with my Family are favorite recommendations of mine as well.
The Rocketeer is a great #1. Saw it in theaters at release and have rewatched it at least 30 times. So fun.
Wind River has always been my favorite underrated movie! Warrior is great as well
Here are some that come to mind for me:
The Secret of NIMH
Highlander
Quiz Show
Whisper of the Heart
Amistad
Mystery Men
Secondhand Lions
Hoodwinked!
The Guardian
Eddie the Eagle
I love The Secret of NIHM! Screw the sequel.
One movie i can think of when discussing underrated movies and it does a great Superhero Parody comedy with a complex narrative: MEGAMIND! Screw the stupid squeal this movie needs some LOVE!
Fighting with my family was an awesome movie. Fun facts Sean. The real life Paige from the WWE returned back to wrestling after a career threatening neck injury two years ago.
Oooh 5 films i havent seen. Will deffo check them out. I found frailty through one of cody leachs videos and it became an instant favourite of mine. Also wait wtf florence pugh was the lead in fighting with my family? I saw that film on release day, never knew!
On the top of my head: The Covenant with Gyllenhaal, State of Grace, Wind River, King of New York, Hostage with Bruce Willis, Shot Caller, Predator 2, Wolf with Jack Nicolson, The Negotiator, The Siege etc.
I will rewatch Zorro , Wind River, and Chef many times. Great movies. All some of my favorites
Thank you Sean I am 38 and rocketeer was one of my 1st favorite movies. Not many people know about it
Yo one of mine I would say is radical. It actually just came out back in November . I watched it completely blind and loved it and unfortunately no one else knows about it. I highly recommend you watch it, it’s on streaming networks. It is in Spanish but it’s worth it.
In no particular order
1. Sugar
2. Colossal
3. Hamlet 2
4. Let the right one in
5. Eagle eye
6. Thank you for smoking
7. Fan boys
8. The creator
9. Stranger than fiction
10. Phone booth
Suprised Warrior is here. It's my all time favorite movie, but I never saw it as underrated. Almost everyone I know have seen it and liked it.
Well maybe after a decade of singing it’s praise it’s finally getting credit
Amazing list, couldn't agree more
FYI Sean, Warrior has a bollywood remake named Brothers which I feel is ALSO underrated.
Rise of the Guardians, Zathura, Black Adam & Friday the 13th 2009
There were only four movies I remember seeing in the theaters in all of 1991 -
Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves
The Addams Family
TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze
Kindergarten Cop
My memory seeing Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves in the theater is hazy and probably is at 50-50 but the other three I know for sure I saw in the theater.
Believe me when I say I was SHOCKED when Warrior wasn't #1
Battle Los Angeles is so fun!
Frailty is such a great pick 🔥 👌
I agree with The Rocketeer; I have loved that movie since I was a boy! Some of my other favorite underrated movies, similar to The Rocketeer insofar as they are simply fun adventures that appeal to the boy in me, are:
1. John Carter
2. Speed Racer
3. Cowboys and Aliens
4. Conan the Barbarian (1982)
5. Last Action Hero
Rise, Dawn and war of the planet of the planet of the apes. I know it has plenty of fans and theres a new one coming very soon but it still doesn't get any where near the amount of recognition and appreciation it deserves. Honestly one of the best, most well written, amazing trilogies ever made
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant is really good but bombed at the box office.
The Karate Kid (2010) and Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith usually got overlooked as a bad remake but I love it. One of my favorite movies
It would definitely be Babylon (2022) and The Nice Guys for me. Definitely give it a try you guys.
My pick would be Disneys mighty joe young 1998 remake its very underated and definitely regarded as a family classic in my household
Donnie Darko is really underrated it has a cult following but isn't talked about much now. Love and Monsters is also really good.
My favorite films are Edge of Tomorrow and Hard Boiled. While they are kind of popular by fans, I think they deserve a lot more appreciation and recognition.
Nobody is a recent one that comes to mind
A recent one that comes to mind for me is Bring Him To Me.
Oh boy this is gonna be fun
(1) Jesus Revolution
(2) Hacksaw Ridge
(3) Revenge of the sith
(4) Amazing Spiderman 2
(5) Lego Ninjago movie
(6) Harry Potter and the order of the pheonix (better than Prisoner for me)
(7)Captain America the first avenger
(8) A Quiet Place (not particularly underrated but since it's one of my favorite movies I put it on here)
(9) Luca
(10) How to train your dragon 2
How is Revenge of the Sith underrated, everyone be glazing that film 😂
This might be the first time I've ever seen revenge of the sith put in the same sentence as underrated
@@spawncampeBecause most people who don’t use the internet find it laughable
I love these! Especially Hacksaw Ridge, Andrew Garfield consistency proves he’s one of the top talent of this generation.
I usually go into movies or shows not knowing the reception and then surprised if it's smth that not ppl know or if it got negative reviews, also ones I feel should get more credit, here are a few, no particular order:
10. The Wolverine(great film, but overshadowed by Logan)
9. Ghost in the Shell 2017(I thought this was a good adaptation and just a great movie, I don't get the hate)
8. Walking Dead S10(most stopped watching after S7 or 8, but I think they missed out on one of the best seasons)
7. Rurouni Kenshin movies(best anime live action movies I've seen)
6. Puss in Boots 1(definitely not as good as the 2nd, but I honestly liked this more than the first Shrek movie)
5. Bad Times at the El Royale(massively overlooked film, top 3 favorites of 2018)
4. Star Wars Rebels(I like this more than Clone Wars, but it's rarely talked about in the Star Wars community)
3. Batman Returns(I loved that Tim Burton went all out with his creativity and I prefer this to 89 Batman easily)
2. The Thing 2011(honestly a very enjoyable prequel/remake, it's definitely not as good or clever as the 1982 version, I mean that's a masterpiece so hard task, but it's not bad, other than the CGI)
1. Doctor Sleep(a near perfect film IMO, great blend of Kubrick and Stephen King and a very satisfying sequel to the Shining)
I literally just rewatched Wolverine yesterday and it’s so much better than I remember. I give it an 8-8.5/10 personally 🔥
Remo Williams is one of my favorite movies...smile
