Cut me teeth on them old Scammells. Served me apprenticeship on them, with the 290 Eagle motor. Changed a few of them pumps over the years. Don’t know what the fuss is. 😂😂😂I’ve moved not far away from ya, I’ll pop over one day and take a look at the o’l girl
It started as an Army 65 tonne artic tractor, complete with winch and double oscillating 5th wheel and 3.5 in pin. The winch fed through rollers just above the rear FV Pattern tow hook.
Hopefully we will get a few more videos great seeing shaina serious business side and not just playing haha even though the scammels a freebie haha bet she be still running long after the scanias dead
Hi Shaun love the video's. Just to cure my curiosity is the engine a Rolls Royce or a Gardiner as I believe the Scammel came with both types of engine.
@@gcalombardoltd I know how funny you are with Scania V8 s . AEC made V8 engine s Long before any of the others. In fact Scania and DAF didn't have there own and made copies of the old Leyland 600 series.

@@gcalombardoltd some were Cummins and iv sin one with a Detroit V8. The same engine as what they put in the Bedford TL. A friend used to drive to the middle East in one of those Bedford's. There's not many about these days.

Also was it a struggle to find tools to do it amongst all the tools you have looking fr those bastard odd sizes nine sixteenth seven eights with worth bs shit then ya think ahh duck ill try a 13 and bang not only do the knuckles go but even worse I rung the corners haha be it a rolls or gardener in her you know the issues 😂😂😂😂

Used to work on the engines in the scamells when the 8V 71 Detroit were fitted.

When you stripped it, you should have put tape with bolt details written on it.. which bolt it's for, etc
