It would be a lot more enjoyable to watch if F1 took the F2 approach but gave everyone the fastest car possible so the races would be decided by driving skills rather than car's performance. Only interesting thing to watch in the results is which one is the winner, Bottas or Hamilton.
I haven’t seen anything of Kimi the entire race🤦♂️ I only saw how the top 5 rarely got a chance to overtake each other... They really need to focus more on the rest as they’ve much more battles than the top 5 (when the top 5 are battling then they need to focus on them but Ham didn’t make it hard for Bottas and idem ditto for the rest of the top 5)
Drew Hender he was doing the minimum he was expected to do. Overtake all the midfield cars. He avoided every single battle with the top teams. That will be his story for the rest of the season.
Still trying to figure out of Verstappen is pulling more out of the car and makes it compete with Ferrari, or if Gasly is just not good enough to get the potential out of the car.

If Ham does not win and Bottas turned out to be the best this year. He got screwed by his own word, also with Ocon that has been given his seat by Toto even BEFORE his contract was over which was a d*ck move by him, so seeing his to-be-replaced driver winning is not the sweetest thing ever
If you're reading this, thanks for implementing my suggestion (and what was probably that of many others) to have a lap card at the transition of laps. It can still be faster and better still; add transparency and/or put a more visible lap counter throughout on top right, blinking it when the lap highlights change.

Mercedes. That's all you have to know. The first one is always Mercedes. Maybe once in a while a Ferrari, but not this year. Pity that Mercedes didn't buy Vettel from Ferrari. If they did that, Hamilton wouldn't win a single race in the entire season. He would always be second. The only reason he would be second is that Mercedes is so good that anyone from the Top 10 drivers can be second when driving a Mercedes.
Kvyat hasn't the most luck that season yet, in Bahrain spon by Giovinazzi, last race that ridiculous penalty and this race *crashed out by a car in reverse!* :,D
Actually Toto has been personally managing Bottas career since his early junior years. They had to do some weird contract work for him to come to Merc so there isn’t a conflict of interest, but emotionally he would want Bottas to do well. I think the real headache with Bottas doing well, is what to do with Ocon?
LegendarySnipez 7000 I don’t see Lewis retiring. Maybe if Bottas wins this year he will see out his contract and leave to make clothes and music. Ocon is in a difficult situation with Bottas going well so far.
I mean, while it is obviously exciting that his team won, it must be a bit boring for it to happen so much and with so little action. People are starting to get annoyed at Mercedes for winning everything, and I’m sure that he’d like to show off his drivers’ abilities when dealing with traffic, not just how well they can drive away

Twodragonz: I assume you mean that Renault hasn't gotten BOTH it's cars to the finish in any race yet? Renault has, of course, had cars reach the finish (and in the point). Agreed though, their season has not shown the improvement most (and I imagine they) were expecting. Today the Renault power unit seemed fine in a McLaren... so, um... not sure what they will have to say about the factory cars. Very poor performance in Baku.
I love that people still buy into the story that the ferrari is the fastest car and that they only fuck up thier strategy, despite mercedes is consistanly faster in sessions that matter (qualifing and the race).
And managed to win driver of the day is beyond me. verstappen and perez deserve it more .. Just show how "soft" the fans are.. He crashed by his own mistake during q2, dont know why many pity him instead lol

Franck joseph Actually look up the history between Bottas and Wolff. They go way back and Bottas would have no chance in F1 without Toto’s backing, so not sure why he wouldn’t want the guy he has been personally backing for so many years to play second fiddle.

Any DRS pass that has the commentary yelling "look how easy", I would argue is not a highlight. I'd rather a see a failed attempt and back off than a car drive around another car.

This season is a mutual admiration society in F1 On Fri and Saturday - Mercedes: we think the Ferraris are quicker than us. Really surprised with the result though not sure what went wrong with them. On Sunday after the race- Ferrari : today it was just not possible to catch the mercs. They are faster than us. We have a lot of work to do.

Verstappen doesn’t get enough credit- he set some of the best lap times all race and is always in the running for podium. But alas there’s no glory for 4th, just points. Would love to see what he could do in a silver arrow

I saw exactly the same during the race because I slept through most of it, and somehow woke up 5 laps before the end.. I think I will just watch the highlights from now, this does not deserve any sunday afternoon of mine anymore..
Everybody knows that Mercedes has the faster car (except Bahrain) but Lewis and Valtteri didn't make a single mistake so far this season, unlike Charles and Sebastian. I think the drivers deserve some credit too, even if the car is kinda dominant. Also the strategies are always on point.
Its much easier not to make mistakes when you have the fastest car since you don't have to push as close to the limit, also a lot less psychological pressure to win when you're coming from 5 straight seasons of pure dominance.

If they did that, Hamilton wouldn't win a single race in the entire season. He would always be second. Actually Toto has been personally managing Bottas career since his early junior years. bottas can't beat lewis over a season...lewis knows it and he's taking it chill...I am just annoyed with . f1 media for creating a stupid hype around ferrari putting them under even more pressure...Ferrari's pace gone in australia they were fast in bahrain and now beaten outright in last two...this car is worse than 18 but they will bicker about stupid team order calls...one thing no one seems to get hybrids have created a two tier formula and races have become predictable since last 6 years...how can you sustain this for long?

@@iceman1125 The V6 hybrids will be the death of F1...One reason they don't know how to run the sport...Look at Moto GP if you want to see what it's supposed to look like when a sport is run the right way...I can write pages on this but you get the idea!
@@ty567100 mercedes is just really good. They have been through multiple regulation changes and are still dominant. The battle between everyone else had been quite good though

They need to stop recommending highlights of past Grand Prix, every time I have a heart attack that I've missed it.
I saw exactly the same during the race because I slept through most of it, and somehow woke up 5 laps before the end.. I think I will just watch the highlights from now, this does not deserve any sunday afternoon of mine anymore..
And then you'll feel missing an awesome race and have regrets

Everybody knows that Mercedes has the faster car (except Bahrain) but Lewis and Valtteri didn't make a single mistake so far this season, unlike Charles and Sebastian. I think the drivers deserve some credit too, even if the car is kinda dominant. Also the strategies are always on point.
What were Vettel's mistakes?

Its much easier not to make mistakes when you have the fastest car since you don't have to push as close to the limit, also a lot less psychological pressure to win when you're coming from 5 straight seasons of pure dominance.
