Oui! Les Irois also has pristine beaches but it's a long drive from Les Cayes. Taiwan spent $20million improving the roads in Les Cayes and Port Salute about 10 years ago. Grotte Marie Jean in Port-a-Piment is also very cool. they used to have raves/music festivals in the cave back in the day. Tiburon (kascad boomba) is also very cool place to chill. They used to have an annual jazz festival next to the waterfall in Tiburon. the boomba jazz fest.
AT could also check out Isle-a-vache--the former base of Captain Morgan.

OK, i’m doing a little translation clarification. Lens is saying that the creole chicken/Poule Peyi has gotten very expensive and rare because of the blockages in certain interstate highways that cross several cities and states in the country which hinder the free movement of merchants to sell their products (chickens) from state to state. The people’s movements to go about their daily business through interstate commerce has been suspended because of gang activities in some areas such as Port-Au-Prince and surroundings. That’s why finding the abundance of Poule Peyi has been curtailed, and the prices have gotten quite expensive because of the rarity of the native chickens. They are produced, but are just not distributed throughout properly.

People who appear polite, and streets crowded with regular shoppers, and children wearing school uniforms. Thanks to you host. May he and his family be protected like they are protecting you. Everywhere in Haiti is teaming with life: above ground, underground, in the air with all varieties of birds, in the streams and rivers, and in the ocean. All bodies of water have fish and other crustacées that are eatable. But since there’s abundance in the ocean, that’s usually nearby, people don’t pay attention to canals’ seafoods.
All Haiti needs is good government that works for the people rather than for themselves and the West. The people are the most hospitable that I’ve ever seen… We love all our brothers and sisters in Africa and the diaspora everywhere in the world. So, come home to Haiti, brethren🥰🇭🇹.

good video. lol. I had the same issue when I was in Jeremie. rode around town on a moto for an hour looking for fresh Haitian style chicken. never found any. In Haiti, almost no one has electricity or refrigeration. So if you want meat in the Gran Sud, you need to wait for "marche (market) day." In the vil I stay in market day is Wednesday. So you can get freshly butchered beef, pork, goat, chicken only on Wednesdays.
That said, the chicken I had in the Grand Sud (where AT is at) was the best I've ever had. totally natural chickens raised on insects. No water injections like in the USA. And don't get me started on how good the grio, banan free, and picleese is!
You guys should visit a fowl fight while you are there. there is a big arena in Moron in the Grand Anse along Department route 72 just north of Les Cayes. it is not like ppl in USA think. it is not cruel. many of those roosters live better lives than the ppl around them. they get plenty of food and fresh water and even massages. They are living their best life.

Poule Peyi means literally “Chiken of the country”; that is Créole chicken = Chickens that are native to Haiti (not imported). Poule peyi, as well as everything else that’s produced in Haiti are very precious and most expensive because they’re true quality organic. The rich and well-off people consume produces native to the land, causing less fortunate ones to buy the cheaper imports from the west such as rice from Arkansa (full of metal) sold by the Clintons, and white chickens (loaded with artificiel fats and chemicals), cereals, etc…

@AFRICANTIGRESS I truly appreciate your visit in Ayiti, Great job sista! I would love to see you visiting King's Christophe Citadelle La Ferriere since you are at Cap Haitian, you must visit there and pay respect to our great ancestor! You might even be related to him, you never know, if the spirits brought you there, that's not by chance. The ancestors are reconnecting us! Much love!

I am Haitian and I would not ride on a motorcycle for that long unless Jesus was driving it😀as far as this young man is concerned he is a wonderful young man, kind, respectful, compassionate, caring, responsible. You are lucky you have found him to guide you in Haiti. Thank you for visiting Haiti and showing the beautiful sides of Haiti. Much success to you❤️❤️

I am just finished looking at the video. The only two things that I really don't like is the garbage accumulated along many streets and the stagnant water along the side of the pavements. Those two things are very unsanitary. I can imagine the amount of mosquitoes that breed there. Don't they have people employed to keep the place clean? Thanks for the video.

So called news documentaries . I've heard it with my own ears. They said the people of Haiti cut down the trees to make coal and for firewood. However I was never one to believe the nonsense. I always knew it was a one sided view.
