I recently figured out why the sand wand is so good, It’s C5, what else can I say, people hated because it has a slow attack string but the power of the combos more than make out for it
Sand wand is a very basic, easy-to-learn weapon. A lot of the DLC weapons are like that, actually, huh. However, it is INCREDIBLY fun just PLOWING through enemies with a massive train!
ALL ABOARD!!! Train 45 leaving Union Station Cincinnati Ohio!!! That’s a reference to an old bluegrass banjo instrumental.... Anyway, this weapon just replaced Cia for at least dealing with boss enemies, his C5 just decimates their WPG’s so seamlessly. Cia can get the job done but her C4 is interruptible when you have enemy captains close by. Her C1 can help HER but the Dark Links are still at risk of being taken out before they can do damage if they take damage. I’m not sure who’s better all in all as I have way more experience with Cia but as of now I’d still have to say Cia is the better choice because she’s faster at gaining KOs (C2) and can safely hurt Captains at a distance with her C3 at but man, I’m impressed with Toon Links C5 in how it just wipes out boss wpg. I’m not sure if he is but if he’s invincible while in his Spirit Train that’s something that would maybe place him higher than Cia, as Cia has no invincibility of any kind, only super armor. As for comparison to his light sword, it’s probably also slightly faster at racking up KOs with his jumping slam C1 and his C3 can really be deadly against captains when you have them in a corner, but this weapon don’t even compare when dealing with bosses, so idk, maybe the light sword could be better all around, but it’s hard to say which is better, just go with what you like I guess, both are really solid play styles
@@Rex200024 its enough if you have a single 100 char for example link with master sword, the map has an itemcard the removes the char and weapon restrictions so you can go straight for the 4+ wand
This game really spoils me. We have Toon Link from Wind Waker, Toon Link II from Spirit Tracks, Tetra, King Daphnes, Toon Zelda, and Medli, all as playable characters. They really wanted the "Adult Timeline" to get a lot of representation in this game
I’m not sure which I think is worse: the Light Sword or the Sand Wand. They both lack in many ways, and are among the worst in their class. I will give the Sand Wand one thing, and that’s its KO potential, though even that is mediocre at best. In theory, his moveset should be able to handle 1v1 situations too, but it just can’t as well as most other characters, due to a slow combo speed and little damage on pretty much all of his moves. On top of it all, you can’t dodge cancel any of his train attacks, which has a huge impact on his ability to avoid hits from multiple or even one captain. It’s easily the worst fire type weapons, and lands itself in the low tier alongside Toon Link’s other weapon. Poor Toon Link truly did get the short end of the stick in this game. Side note: The Sand Wand’s weak point attack is actually the weakest one in the game, which really doesn’t help its case with the low damage thing it has.
LP Justin I have a lot of issues with both of them. They both just suck when compared to the majority of other weapons. I find more use out of Lana’s Spear and Tingle than I do from Toon Link’s Sword.
I'm sorry, but I just don't see it.. Toon Link's Light Sword and Sand Wand seems good to me. I been using him and his weapons a lot in my battles and I didn't have that much of a problem with them whatsoever. So no, I don't think they're the worse class in the game in my opinion.. The only problem I had with Light Sword and Sand Wand is that you couldn't unlock their moves at the time, because of the limited material. But once I got some of the material I needed for his weapons and started unlocking more of his combos, I've been having more and more fun with the little guy and plus he's my favorite Link, since I have nostalgia for Wind Waker. He's my second highest level character right behind Link.
seta2458 I love Toon Link too. The Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game and one of my favorite video games of all time. And yeah, his weapons are not bad at all; they just fall short when compared to most other weapons in the game. I can’t think of any fire characters that are worse than him. The only competition he even has for the bottom spot of Fire weapons is Tingle, but Tingle has a move that’s just so OP that it makes him go up at least five places on the tier list by itself. The Sand Wand just doesn’t have anything OP or unique that other fire weapons and characters can’t already do, which is why it’s the worst fire weapon imo.

You unlock it on the Grand Travels adventure map, at least in Definitive Edition
Ok that’s fucked up considering that map requires level 100 plus characters with level 3 plus weps to even get good prog only to earn level 1?

i dont think his sword is that bad. nothing spezial for sure but i think its in the mid tier. the sand wand on the other hand is just bad
