One thing I love is how when completely new is how they sound as you’d pretty much expect, loud tools firing plasma at a low level for mining, repairs construction and such. But as Isaac tinkers with them upgrading them, they sound more and more like god damn cannons. The upgraded ripper sounds like a damn shotgun when firing the primary mode.
My lineup, fully upgraded, was the Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle, Line Gun, and Force Gun. Both the Pulse Rifle and Force Gun, fully upgraded, stood best for crowd control when they attacked in groups. And then the Plasma Cutter and Line Gun worked best for me to finish the job or when it's just one or two morphs attacking. I dominated this game, back then! Nostalgia! Issac is a trooper and a bada**, like Freeman, 117, and the rest. Got a whole desktop background of all of my favorite video game characters on my PC. :)
That thing is too powerful to be real. I didn't upgrade it at all during my gameplay in DS2 and only use it twice when fighting Black Brute in the red room and final boss. First need 2 shots and second need 3 shots. I was like "what the hell why too op i didn't even upgrade u?!?!" If ammo wasn't that expensive it would replace my Pulse rifle immediately
This weapons are so letal powerful on this game, But one weapon reminds of another thats from Another game from a different company developers and also was launch at 2013 after dead space existed in the late respective year, Warframe has a weapon almost like the ripper from dead space but pure coincidence that shoots saw, its called the panthera that has magazine of that type of fire but holding a especific button from its consoled launch can control for many longer to levitate a cutter saw just like this one, in fact this weapon probably was inspired by this other from this, just my thoughts
damn forgot how shit the alt fire modes for the other weapons besides the plasma cutter was in the OG game, good thing the remake completely revamped them (Line Gun in the remake is the same as the one in Dead Space 2).
I use this to reference dead space 1's weapons because google is so broken and useless its impossible to find a list of weapons from only ds1 and the wiki has no article for it.
GUYS how do u get the Military Suit (for OG Dead Space) and the rest of the BONUS ITEMS (10 Power Nodes+50,000 Credits) after finishing the game?? All I see is Impossible Difficulty option after beating the game. No other goodies shown... what gives???
@@ron3557 He holds it with two hands in 2 & 3, but in DS1 he just uses one hand. I'm replaying the original right now and that's the first thing i noticed. I guess it's some mandela effect or something.

I love how Isaac just wields this tools: they look quite heavy, he doesn't aim with shoulder, just relying on that blue beam, which is cool!
The Pulse Rifle has always been my go-to weapon from Dead Space to Dead Space 3.
I think that dead space weapons are one of the few laser guns in games the actually feel powerful to shoot
Fr, they are so satifying to use that sometimes you forget its a horror game, just to much fun to dismember the monsters in your wake.
Force gun is my favorite. The ultimate “get away from me!” Tool.

I completely forgot that Isaac (or should I say you?) held the Plasma Cutter one-handed in the first game.
He can actually hold it with both hands on the first game, only when walking while aiming though

Not really. Line gun alt fire is the best crowd control in the game and force gun alt fire is useful in 0g areas since it can 2 shot lurkers.
