Beat side by side comparison yet! 👏🏼 the other guys only revised the new one but you did both the original and refresh models. Thank you

I just took delivery of my 2024 AT4 3500. So far so good with 2100 miles. Every time I drive it I find another cool feature. I traded my 17 Denali 3500 with 157,000 miles. My only complaint so far is my mpg is not where I expected. 20 highway empty and 10 towing my toy hauler. My 17 stock was 22 highway and 12-14 towing the same trailer. The new truck does have more power and tows like a beast!!

This is very helpful. I had a 2020 3500 AT4 liked all except the mirrors, had traded for a 2022 F350 tremor, been driving that for two years, and now I’m going back next week to get my new 2024 3500 AT4. Looking forward to it! I hope a Ranch Hand full replacement bumper will fit it. Thank you for doing the video!!

I did the exact thing you just showed. When my 2024 AT4 3500 showed up it was spec'd identical to my 2022, same color and everything. I spent the weekend doing a side by side comparison and at the end of the day, the additional torque in the Duramax and it being available in the lower RPMs won the day. Makes the truck, overall, much more drivable around town. But you are right in saying, really nice improvements with little to no price increase is amazing. The drop in payload by 100 lbs was a bummer, but what it shows is, this truck is heavy. But I had some room in my numbers, so the 2024 is in my driveway.

If your main concern is payload you wouldn’t want the AT4

@@TheOMEGANOX not my main concern, but it is interesting that the refresh added weight to the truck.

Definitely like the 2024 interior better. Really don't need those cigarette lighter plugs in 2024.The rear view mirror would look better if it was edgeless. Exterior wise I think that the 2024 taillights look cheap, front bumper could use less plastics and I'm not sure how I feel about the steps on the side of the beds. When is GM putting out a hybrid diesel?

The trailer tow knob is gross, awkward.
MOST IMPORTANT on a snowy pass, i grabbed the wrong knob and turned off my lights, shook me up a little, until i figured out what happened....

100 pounds out of 3600 is splitting hairs long ways. The plow package will up the front end to 6,000 pounds - more by ten than Fords solid front axle and you can get the plow package on about any options package. I have had Chevy, GMC and Ford and all are good - mainly a matter of looks when I buy.

Idk. Maybe it’s just me but I’m not a huge fan of the 24 interiors, it’s way to nice on the inside and I would be terrified do put anything in it. I do a lot of fishing and target shooting and just chuck my guns and boots in there. Also my hands aren’t the cleanest after gutting fish so would I have to wash my hands everytime I get in? Don’t get me wrong it’s super nice on the inside but just to nice of an interior for me 🤠

I think GMC nailed it with the exterior styling. They took something that was already nice and made it a 10.
I have mixed feelings with the interior though. It definitely looks nicer but some of the controls I would just have to try and use to see how they are. I’m glad they still have buttons and knobs but they have gotten smaller and closer together looks like.
Also it’s a major fail they discontinued the 12 volt outlet. They should put it inside the center console and move the 120 outlet to the rear center console like on the 40/20/40 seats. Maybe if enough complain they will add it back for 2025.

So did the seats get any better in the 24? Or still really firm?

    • @JD-xk7du
      @JD-xk7du ปีที่แล้ว +1

That is one of the main reasons I traded my 2022 Chevrolet 2500 high country in for a Ram. The Ram rides better and has much more comfortable seats. I drove my Chevrolet 6 hours to the dealer and my back and legs were killing me. Traded in the Chevrolet and drove the same 6 hours back in the Ram. Back and legs were feeling better. I am not sure why GM decided to make the trucks so much less comfortable than the previous generation of GM trucks, but they did. My 2019 GMC 2500 was one of the most comfortable trucks I have ever been in.

@@JD-xk7du I agree 100%. I sold my 2020 Denali 2500 Duramax due to the seats. If GM had good seats like the 2018's they would sell WAY more. Not sure why they would put such shitty seats in such a great truck.

Trailer Brake control seems to be in odd location on the 24'. Hope it could handle a accidental spill. I Almost ordered a 24' gmc At4 but decided to go with a Longhorn Ram instead. The Rams console just uses the space better. Exhaust brake on the Ram works so well I don't have to touch the trailer brake control. Drove Chevys for 25 years.

I actually like that older interior style better it reminds me of a truck ,, like you said, you live and work in your truck the interior is going to get beat on and wore down overtime don’t get me wrong. The new interior is really nice. I like it as well, but if you’re going to use a truck like a truck in real life that interior is going to get beat on at jobsites four-man crew, work boots, sawdust, dirt, mud, concrete mix, tools, dogs ,,, that interior is gonna be the worst to keep nice
