Thank you for this video Chris. I just recently discovered your channel and I've been binge watching because I'll be visiting Thailand in December for a few months. However, this particular video hits straight in the feels. Mili reminds me so much of both my grandmother (Irish) who recently passed away, and my Bà (Vietnamese), my aunts mother who has been a grandmother to me. I miss them both immensely. It's funny though, their similarities. Like Mili, my grandmother's had that same super stubborn independence and never knew how to stop 😂 they worked until their late 80's... And I'm certain that's why they lived long lives,.. and why Mili is still going to be running around well throughout her 90's. I admire women like her, of that generation and who are from places like Ireland and SE Asia because they're tough as nails. They understand what hardship and struggle is better than anyone. They're survivors and no wars, poverty, oppressive governments etc has stopped them, theyve always kept pushing forward with their lives. Hense their stubbornness 😂. But, they are extremely tough broads, deserving of all the respect we can give them, so I just want you to know that you're a stand-up dude for acknowledging these qualities in an elderly woman like Mili, and with TH-cam being so littered with disingenuous acts of performative altruism, solely intended to generate likes, it's nice seeing content from the like of you, who's authenticity and genuity is crystal.
