I love your hat with the shooting starts and the cork screw danglies I love the dolls that have them and I noticed that you have a lot of those dolls too!
Ha ha ha...Jayda, i love it.I am going to make those to decorate my hat.You are a very good teacher and your ways made me smile.I am amazed with the cute things you made.Don't stop!Keep on teaching...i am watching and learning.Thank you Jayda.
I followed your hat tutorial and added the curls for the tassel and I love it. So simple and fun to make. Thank you so much. I look forward to doing more hats as well following your other tutorials.
You are adorable and everything you make is super cute and easy to follow along to make. I just picked up crochet and I've made three hats with the balls shown here and used the coils shown here as decorations for Sand Art Brownies in quart jars we made for Christmas presents. I could have never done all this without the help of your tutorials! Thank you so so much!
I've always wanted to know how to make springy spirals!!!! I was so happy to find your pattern as other hats never worked out for me. And now I have my own perfectly fitting Toque with numerous springy spirals!! I put 3 on, all different lengths. Now my kiddo wants me to make her one too! THANK YOU!!
Fab opening sequence! Bravo! I'm definitely adding a doodad to the asymmetrical shawl I just completed. It's a battle between the coils and the star! 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Please make more hat tutorials! Oh and maybe some socks that people can wear in the winter time in their boots. You are the best for explaining how to crochet. Looking for more winter clothing and accessories because we are moving to Maine.
Thank you so much! I love these. So affordable! Now to find some sparkly yarn and combine your coil and shooting star idea to dangle off the hat of my 2 year old granddaughter 🌟
I made a cute pink hat for my little granddaughter and put a Pom Pom on it. Being a curious little one she pulled the Pom Pom apart in no time. I followed your instructions and made a ball and squiggly octopus legs. So much cutter and indestructible for the little one. Thanks.
Hi Valerie, thank you for sharing! It's so important to remember who we're making the things for - little fingers are definitely better suited to coils or crochet ball poms for safety's sake :)
Hi Jayda, You have great tutorials and a great sense of humour! Thank you very much for all that you do. Keep up the great work:) I have subscribed to your channel and I follow you on Pinterest as well:)
+Deborah Brand Hi Deborah, and thank you! :) Isn't Pinterest a riot?! WOW, between that and crochet, I lift my head and wonder where the evening went!! LOL
+Jayda InStitches I am working on your easy perfect fit hat right now for my hubby, I love how easy it is to make! Winter will soon be here in Calgary, I noticed you are from Canada too eh? lol Thanks for all the chuckles!
Thank you for such easy to follow instructions. I stuffed the ball topper by cutting up an old crotch hat that had been sitting around for a while. Since the first ball was for practice, I added catnip too so the hat topper became a cat toy 🤣
I'd love to put some of these cute little curly cues on a baby hat or booties. Is there a certain multiple of chains to make these small enough to do that?? They'd be so adorable!!
Hi Marta! Depending on your hook, yarn and tension, you might want to make one of these curly cues as directed, measure it and then decide how much smaller you want your little ones to be. If it's roughly half the size, or a third, for example, use half (or a third, respectively) the foundation chains 💗
I always love it when she starts with the Chubbi’s!! So cute!!!! I am wondering how long have you had those and do you have a tutorial on it? Thank you love every thing you do during COVID I watch your videos since I can’t go out! I love to crochet during your live crochet alongs!
Hello Jayda have just found your site and loving it by the way i was just wondering where i could get the pattern tutorial for olaf that you have on your shelf next to the minion i dont want a big one its to put into a pocket for a 2 year old jumper thank you in advance for your help
lynne mahoney Hi Lynne! The Olaf pattern is available for sale in my Etsy shop if you'd like to check it out :) Using the hook and yarn sizes suggested he makes up to be about 6.5" tall :) www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches
Jayda, thank you so much for this tutorial and the gray hat tutorial as well. Do you recommend wool for the hat? What is your favorite yarn for this project? Thank you again.
+Saima Abbasi Hi Khadija! You must be crocheting around the clock! * giggle * you're going to need a special shelf just to keep all your new goodies on :)
Hey Miss Jayda. I’m coming to you by way of Florida. I’m struggling so bad with two things. 1: losing stitches and width with any large product. 2: when making headbands and beanies they are getting smaller without decreasing. These problems make me stop and put project down. I have several projects. Throughout my home that I have t finished. Hope you can help me. I just bought a hundred bucks worth of beautiful yarn. I’m wanting to continue to learn because I love the excitement of getting a finish project. Kathie.
Hi Katherine! I know it's boring, but count, count, count! You should always count your stitches at the end of each row, this way if you lose one (or add one) then you can go back and find your mistake before getting to far ahead :) And if you find things get tight without decreasing, than it sounds like your tension might tend to get tighter as you work (this is pretty common). In this case, you might find switching to a larger hook size mid project will help your tension :)
Jayda InStitches Thank you Jayda for your response to my questions. I love your show, your tutorials and you personality. You do keep me In stitches. Hugs Love you guys.
martha jenkins Hi Martha, head over to my channel homepage (click on my name) there is a Quick Tip on how to hack all videos for Left Handed Crochet - check out the Quick Tip Playlist for more fun :) Thank you for watching!
Have you done a tutorial on the little people? If you haven't, can you make one because I wanted to make one and they look like they'd make cute decorative things to put on a shelf
Kristen Copeland Hi Kristen! I haven't done a tutorial on the little folks yet, but I will be :) They're super cute up on a shelf....if they stay there long enough!!
You have taught me how to crochet! I’m making your hat and adding the pompom but found the threads of the pompom are easily pulled out. How can I prevent this? I tied the threads very tight.
Hi Joyce! Try using multi ply yarn that wants to unravel easily. If you've ever used Homespun by Lion Brand, that stuff frays like mad. Keep the ties as tight as you can, then trim and brush the ends using a hair brush. This will sort of knot or felt those loose ends together making it look fuller and thicker and should also keep them from wanting to come apart as easily.
Your videos are so easy to understand. You are a great teacher
Thank you so much for watching!
You are so fun! Love your personality and great videos! Thank you!!
