A great place to be is with Cirith Ungol. Best reunion of a Metal band there has ever been. Though some have moved on into a different realm, they are not forgotten. There is no singer as unique as Tim. There has never been a miracle this big in my entire metal fan history. In my wildest dreams, I would have never predicted this.
One of the best and most consistent for sure. One of my favourite along with Manilla Road (RIP), old Maiden (RIP), Motörhead (RIP), Enslaved, Tribulation and Immolation.
@@SwissCheese667 This is the way more metal would sound today if glam didn't happen. Thrash was a reaction to glam, and I understand it. But I always preferred good old traditional metal like this band.
@@angusorvid8840 I don't think thrash was merely a reaction to glam. IMO metal was bound to become more extreme, as people wanted to test the genre's limits. Thrash, death, black... seems all like natural evolution to me.
Criminally under rated and under appreciated band. I'm a thrash/death metal guy, but Cirith Ungol elicits a deeper joy every time I hear them. Being a 39 year fan helps.
Along with Satan, their reunion has been one of the best things to happen to metal in the 2010s. They still play with such conviction and energy. Of course, a huge thanks to Jarvis for making all of this possible!
You guys rocked it! Btw, that's my brother Tommy playing bass at 47:00! ❤ What an honor to hear him play with you all. This is one proud sister and a huge fan!
@Ezequiel Robb Our dad passed away last September and he, too, was a musician. He was always impressed with Tommy, and this would have made his life complete.
@@hinjurock70 Well Yes there is. Haha. To Claify, Tommy Malone is our rehearsal Bassist. He's put in many many hours practicing with us. Jarvis is on the other side of the world most of the time. Tommy takes his place to keep us practicing, getting ready for shows and recording studio. On this show he came out on stage to play 3 songs. Before the Lash, The Fire, and Paradise lost.We dragged him out there so he could get a taste of a live show. Some People swore that he was Flint. He even signed his real name on albums when people asked him at signing session. Even though he didnt want to. They insisted. Too cool, To funny.
Followed them since I was a teenager. They are just incredible in the "golden years". Some of these bands are better 40 years later than when they were young. And so glad they are still around.

The characteristic guitar licks on F&F theme are so iconic and exclusive - i guess that's where we should look for their signature back in the day. I only discovered them in 85 ( from a time when news were restricted on mags and there was no other speed of light media working...), thanks to shaky tape-trading networks and then when One foot in hell timidly appeared on some import racks, here in Portugal. Authenticity is their middle name and musical craftsmanship their game. Baker's style is the ultimate revenge of the trve American Metal singers.
I remember seeing these guys play live at the Art Center theater in Ojai (I lived just a few houses down) back in 1984 when I was 14 before Jim Barraza was in the band, then 2 years later after he replaced Jerry Fogle, he used to cruise over to my house and show me Randy Rhoads licks. Jim was my best friend Harvey's older cousin - that's how I met him.
I had to drop off the stream during the encores but came back later to check the last two songs. What an epic show! And Tim was at his top screeching shape. Jim was killing it too. Wish I could have been there.
Grande Cirith Ungol, uma doa melhores retornos so heavy metal. E muito bom velos com força total, e a voz do Tim Baker continua a potencia de sempre.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇧🇷

damn near 2 hour set. Effing impressive at any age and they still sound great. Loved these guys back in the day. They should have been HUGE IMO, but apparently my musical tastes don't jibe with the majority of the populace. Flange on the bass and ultra deep vocal on Master of the Pit were the only things missing IMO. Great performance. Thanks for posting.
Agree, they deserve way more recognition. Their discography is one of the most consistent in all of metal and is worth digging through beyond King of the Dead. All their albums are excellent, including the much debated Paradise Lost. The most recent outputs (LP and EP) are also great.
Ignoring ''Witches' Game'' live now is a flaw - one of their best songs/themes and i don't think it's only my exclusive opinion. Otherwise, let's hope this comeback that has been going steady for 8 years already (it seems like yesterday) finds the path of glory for one of the MOST important US Metal groups ever.

CIRITH UNGUL RULES
Big fan since the 80s
After 35 years, they’re finally going to play in Los Angeles this month. I can’t wait.
My favorite band of the 80's! Love you, Tim! Love you, Cirith Ungol!

This band is like fine wine! Always amazing!
Jerry Fogle - guitars R.I.P. 1987
What a legendary band, underrated as hell. They are the definition of Metal in my book.
They have this unique quality to their sound which so many new heavy metal acts lack.
@@SwissCheese667 Exactly!
For those looking for their best track - Master of the Pit: 1:20:40
Good comment. That is exactly what I was looking for. Master of the Pit is up there with Trouble's "The Wish" in terms of extended song epics!
