@@hardmtnbiker waited a few months for it and my sales guy made calls to corporate and got one configured for me. Not many are allocated with this spec.
Cool! You finally made a video about this. I was hoping you would make this one for a while now. I first saw the TRD-Performance Package on a non TRD-PRO in November 2024. It was a Midnight Black 2025 4×4 Platinum Hybrid TRD Off-Road. I would have a hard time deciding between that exact truck and a 2024 1794 Limited Edition.
I made a video for the launch, and then when we started seeing it on Pro trims. This is the first one ive seen non pro on the ground. Good one to find!
I like everything about the performance pack, but I don’t understand why I have to use 91 octane. I had a tune done on my Mustang and one of the tunes is for 91 octane and the other one is for 87 octane. You would think they would be able to Tune the computer to use either fuel.
I’ve been contacting a few local dealerships and email them my custom specifications for a new 2025 Limited Tundra or Platinum Tundra TRD Off-Road iForce Max 4WD with TRD Lift and TRD Performance. A really expensive spec with everything. I offer a deposit and everything but they can’t commit to “ordering” exactly what I want.
I wish the tundras new gen was a seemless transition. These trucks simply are not better than the V8 other than creature comforts. Its amazing to see the climax and now continuing downfall of the new gens. Will be an interesting thing to discuss when i am old and gray
I saw a few guys in September do it. I should’ve jumped back then. They said it may be dealer level in the future, but for now only Port like you said.
So far, its factory only. But it was mentioned in the press release that eventually they may sell it after purchase at the parts departments. At one point the air boxes were available but they stopped that.
I think the power on the iforce max is outstanding already, don’t want to pay for premium fuel. This is why I eliminated the Chevy 6.2 V8 when shopping for a truck. Hope Toyota decides to sell those air boxes again as a TRD upgrade like in the past.
Paid $51 for my TRDOR SR5 in lunar rock and I ended up putting the TRD pro grill and fenders on it with a wescott lift and 35's. All in i'm at less than $55. I cant' see how these trucks have $28K extra in accessories to list for $78K or the new pros listing for over $85K. Nutts. I would like to see the dealers start offering the performance package. It did happen for a short time and then toyota put a stop sale on the intakes and you can't get the tune.
Hello Sir, it sounds like you have a nicely customized Tundra. HOw do you like your Westcott lift? How does it drive? I'm considering that lift myself for my TRD OR. Thanks for any info. Tommy
@@T-Dubb Love it for the price, it rides really nice and smooth on decent roads but you'll definitely notice some loss of down travel if you hit a pothole or manhole cover. The stance is perfect with 35's if you put on the full front and rear of the kit, you can use just the preload collar for the front if you just want a level. If I were to do it again i'd buy their kit with the longer silver TRD shocks (I have the red bilsteins) and that one will give you more downtravel but I believe you need upper control arms with that kit. If you do get one MAKE SURE the shop aligns the truck to wescott specs provided on their website, anyone who says they ride terrible doesn't have it aligned properly or has it aligned to factory toyota specs.
@@JJ_MTB_15 thank you for the information, I will definitely look at doing the shock upgrade package as well then. I plan to run a 295/65/r20 tire, they say that size reduces the chance of rubbing and you don’t need a shim. Thank you again for your advice. I wanted to hear from someone that actually drove a Tundra with the WD lift. Tommy
It was announced on May 30th 2024. A production range of 22/23 Tundras and a Lexus have an engine debris issue. Total recall is for roughly 102k vehicles. Remedy is complete engine replacement
dont make any sense to pay who knows how much for that performance upgrade just to get 30 more hp on a non hybrid, I think it is a better option to go hybrid, you would get more HP and TQ and use cheap gas......
that Cat Back exhaust is only going to be able to do so much with that tiny V6. I am sure it will sound better than the ricer 3.4L, but it will still pail in comparison to the TRD dual exhaust. Hopefully Toyota will do what Dodge is doing now that Trump is back in office and offer a V8 again. How awesome would it be to have that Lexus 5.0L V8 that is in the LC 500 in a Tundra? Sheeet I would buy one yesterday.
I don’t think its gonna happen unfortunately. I mentioned this in my “mid cycle refresh” video the other day. In my opinion, Toyota isn’t on the same path with their half ton offerings like the Big 3, they just want a piece of the market share. Ford, Chevy and Stellantis need their half ton to survive, so they have to offer as much as possible. If the Tundra went away, Toyota would continue on like nothing happened. Just a different mindset between Toyota and the big 3.
@SuperSnakePli When it comes to real trucks to get any real work done Toyota never even enters the chat and there is a reason for that and sales prove it...ssken
@@tedlulis973 Ford and Chevy do great fleet pricing. I know because I've been part of purchasing 31 trucks one time all F-150 XLT trucks. With that said, until the 3rd gen Tundra the Tundra and Tacoma were built in the same factory and Tundra's were not the priority. If you notice sales are higher now for Tundra than ever before because they are meeting demand. I've owned a Silverado, F-150 ecoboost, and a Tundra now, and I'd take the Tundra over any of them any day of hte week.
These trucks along with the other Big 3 are a complete joke when it comes to the price. Reduce the price $20k and it then comes within the realm of affordable to most people. 48mo loans was once the standard, now 72-84mo is. We are in a world of hurt people. Way out of my price range, but still pretty cool. Its near or at the top of the Tundra lineup cost. Thankfully, there are much cheaper Tundras and discounts are back!
@jonathanb4929 no way. UAW is not taking a pay cut. Raw materials arent going down in price. Insurance and rent arent going down. Where is the $15k going come out of?
I disagree. I think the prices are justified for what you are getting these days plus accounting for inflation. Toyotas hold their value and that is what is most important when you are spending this much. If you want to pay less for an inferior product then that is your choice. Toyota for life.
My 2012 DBL cab 4wd TRD off road 5.7L with red rock interior and magnetic grey exterior with 29K miles, TRD dual exhaust and 46 gallon fuel tank is about as close to a modern 1794 you can get and costs 1/2 as much
@TundraDude34 Exactly and now it's costing more money every time you add gas my friend. I honestly can't believe they are selling trucks at these prices, not just Toyota but all the Manufacturers I won't buy something that takes over 12% of my net salary every month.
