    Nice review of this scooter. I decided to buy this model recently as alternate transport from work. One little tip I just learned with the folding mechanism: back the scooter against a solid surface while being mindful of the rear fender, lean into the front of the handlebar and use one foot to push the top of the lever down to release. It took some figuring out but it works. Some silicone spray may also help to loosen the lever for easier function.

    i got this in Ireland back at the 1st of December 21 for commuting purposes (although here its called a "Fundot" scooter). i agree with alot of whats said in the Vid. the brake is great if your going down steep inclines and indeed charges the battery , but its a nightmare on a flat surface. you seriously have to shift your weight to the back to prevent a spill, and for the love of god DONT use it to come out of cruise control. just tap or double tap the accelerator and the scooter brakes automatically at a fairly decent rate . its a good idea to think ahead of where you want to stop
    one of the reasons i picked it was because of the solid tires as i didnt want to deal with punctures but it DOES make for a less comfortable ride, depending on the surface. ive actually found concrete roads easier than some tarmaced paths and in some parks i found it easier to use gravel paths over the normal ones. bike lanes are brilliant though.
    the BEST bit of advice in this vid is about the latching mechanism though. ALWAYS make sure you push the handle bars forward untill you see the green lever essentially become flush with the frame and you hear the "click" . its the only way to be certain its not stuck intermediately.
    A tip to collapse it if your by yourself is to lower the handle bars as far as they'll go (don't force it just what feels naturally its lowest point) then kneel with all your weight on the back of the scooter near the manual brake while pushing forwards on the steering column. this will then allow you to pull the lever back with your free hand enabling you to collapse the column . itll lock automatically once you get to a certain point. theres no issue with raising it once you want to use it again.
    it IS annoying how tough the lever is, but i suppose the flip side is once its in its proper place you can be basically certain it wont collapse on you unwantedly.
    over all its very fast. i personally havent needed to use the 3rd setting on it. it goes up some very steep inclines no problem (though watch it slipping into cruise control) and the battery gets me about 16km per charge which is great considering i live in an area thats VERY uneven. the one time it quit on me is when i forgot to charge it in work and even then it tried to give me 10kph on what areas were flat. which means on the way in to work when it was practically out of power it STILL gave me 23kph whilst going up inclines that were well above 15 degrees at times.
    im sure theres better out there but for getting to work and back ive been happy with this, the price i got was 305 euros including delivery.

    I see from your shadow you're wearing a baseball cap. I did that on my way, my first ride, to Walmart to get a helmet, when I wiped out and bashed my head on the street pretty good, thanks to the auto cruise; all this said for new users - order your helmet with the scooter, knee guards and elbow gear. Seriously. Thumbs up on the review. 👍

    Brakes? Who needs brakes? When riding over rougher surfaces it helps to let your knees bend a little. Move your body with it instead of just standing on a moving platform. When you feel comfortable it feels like a part of you.

    • @allcheckout
      @allcheckout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it helps ... if tried it as well, but you can buy scooters or the same price with air filled tires and they damp everything nicely. 100x better driving experience. And the brake is really dangerous. This should not be sold. Also the folding mechanism is very unsecure ...
