L1-L4 Spinal Cord Injury Milestone at Project Walk Houston

In January of 2016 Basit suffered a gunshot wound while out with friends. He was left with an L1-L4 incomplete spinal cord injury. He started at Project Walk Houston this March to see if we could help him walk independently again. He started using the assistance of a walker and orthotics. Since then he has seen his glute function return, progressed to walking with trek poles, and as of last week can walk independently. There is still work to do, but he has showed amazing progress. Way to go Basit.
