    Just found you and subscribed. Have watched all your videos in prep for our upcoming adoption this week. Our gal is coming from foster home, where she has been for last 2.5 months. She went into foster rescued from shelter as a stray and heavily pregnant. Foster helped her and 11 new pups, who are all now in homes within the last week. Foster mom has given me a lot of info about how mom has been, but now dynamics will be different as no puppies and in our new home. I’ve never had a mom before. Pretty inexperienced dog owner as a whole… We had one doggie for a long time but she passed away a few years ago. Would love to know additional tips for working with rescues and moms who have had all their puppies adopted elsewhere.

      Thanks a ton Ms Dana! Glad you're enjoying our videos. I'll have to do some videos on mommy specific topics... This could even expand out of rescues to breeding as well. With any doggie, the most important part of welcoming them into your home is that they feel safe and secure, so the rescue tips videos will definitely apply! Let me get back to you on this one for sure!

      Great suggestion Morgan! May need to bring in a nutritionist for this week. I'm always open for collabs. I'll be on the look out!

    You’re doing an AMAZING job! You have a very upbeat voice and your content is always good. I would like to see a video on dog food allergies, as we just discovered our rescue has a poultry allergy. Also, I like the idea of talking about food options. Good healthy brands, do you recommend raw food, foods to avoid, etc. One more thing...maybe training techniques to deal with leash pulling and obsessions with birds and small animals (eg. squirrels). Thank you

      Thanks Kelly! Poultry and chicken especially is a common allergy in dogs (and cats, go figure). We may need to pull in a vet or nutritionist to help with this one, but I like the idea of a collaboration!
      Leash pulling is a common issue we see as well! And having a calm and peaceful walk in the midst of distractions (like those pesky birds and squirrels) is even better! Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you so much for the tips. My new rescue dog is coming next week and these tips are so helpful. Something I would like to know are some of the signs a dog gives you that you are bonding with them or they are becoming more comfortable with you. just to know what to look for.

      Oooh. Good one. Body language is a huge and fascinating topic! To your point, dogs will most often only offer certain behaviors or show specific body language if they are comfortable, and that can be a great sign that they see you as a friend! Noted!

    I just adopted a 6 year old Shih Tzu who was obviously abused in his early years. Can you do some videos on gaining trust with new rescue dogs with tips on dos & don'ts in the process. Thanks.

      Ooh, good one Mike! No matter what the background, building trust with your dog over time is a must and can be so rewarding when you've built that special bond with your pup. I've got it on the list!

    Just got a Romanian little dog. I am doing my best but she is so scared. Haven’t left the crate at all. I would love to see a case like nine covered. She is a 2 year old dog, saved from a kill shelter so I can only imagine how awful her life has been so far. Just want to her do decompress, to starting trusting me

    I’d like some helpful tips on making separation easier with my new rescue dog. I have to return to work soon and need some help to make it easier

    • @TheKindCanine
      @TheKindCanine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah yes, a good one! Especially with many returning to work soon, this will be a very important topic! Noted!

    As someone else mentioned leash pulling would be a good one. Also one of dogs suffers from anxiety and separation anxiety so anything on that subject would be good as well.
