Important bands in the 00s: I think Opeth, Meshuggah and Muse all deserve to be featured. I think it's a shame that electronic artists like Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Orbital and the various styles of underground dance music (drum n bass, trance, happy hardcore) didn't at least get a mention in this episode. I know it's a history of rock but you do include pop and rap, so why not EDM too? Talking of electronic, I can't claim they're big or important especially but another 00s act I really like are VNV Nation.
